okay I know I have been long gone ... sorry guys ... even I hate the delays but my college schedule sucks bigtime .. I leave from home at 7 and come back at 5 ... so u can imagine how it is !!
I promise I will try to manage 2 updates per week ... these stories are as special to me as it is to everyone who has followed it closely !!!
I know its tough times for Arshians ... many of lost our spark to write last Nov when hell broke loose but this time it wont happen again !!! we will fight for our show ... and at the same time carry on with all our IPK related works with the same passion !! we will fight out this storm !!!

Part 35
The Raizadas and the Guptas along with Arnav and Khushi were enjoying their out in the gardens adjoining their house ... the last few days had passed in quite bliss ... Khushi was happy and at peace and she had her husband and family hovering over her .. taking care of her ... making sure that each and every wish of hers was fulfilled even before she could demand it. Love was in the air and cupid was definitely working its magic on 2 particular couples specially.
It didn't escape the attention of Arnav and Khushi that NK and Pooja had grown extremely close over the past few days … they didn't miss their
Cute nok-jhoks ...
Crazy banter ...
Adorable fights ...
Heart warming care ...
The faint glimmer of young love blooming ...
And then there was another intense love story slowly taking form ... it was unlike NK-Pooja but the signs were definitely there ...
Arnav couldn't help but notice that Varun had grown extremely fond of Dia and his Di … though he was initially apprehensive ... he decided not to question Varun until he knew for sure what was happening ...
He could see the care and protectiveness Varun had for Dia ... He went out of his way to ensure that she had all her wishes granted and the affection was equally returned from Dia's side as well ... these days ... if anything upset her at all then Varun was her man... she would run into his arms and complain to him ... and Varun would make sure that all her complaints were put to the fire !!
Meanwhile Khushi could see that Anjali was affected by Varun's presence ... her adoring smile when she saw Varun and Dia together ... her eyes getting filled with tears that she cleverly hid from the others ... her wistful expression when she saw Dia getting pampered by Varun ... none of it escaped Khushi's attention ... whenever Varun was around ... Anjali couldn't help herself from smiling … she was a happy woman ... there was a glow on her cheeks that Khushi hadn't seen in a long time .. whenever Khushi saw Varun along with Di and Dia ... it painted the picture of a very happy family .. the perfect family ... Di's perfect family !!
Though both Arnav and Khushi had noticed the signs very clearly .. neither had talked to each other about it as of now but Khushi knew that she had to talk to Arnav about it very soon.
Later in the day a courier arrived for Khushi ... after signing the delivery receipt ... Khushi broke open the seal ... Arnav was sitting next to her as the contents spilled out ... there was single folded piece of paper attached along with a few newspaper cuttings. Khushi opened the letter and held it out so that Arnav could see it as well and together they began reading...

I hope this letter answers a lot of questions for you ... I hope it makes you realise that the husband you love so much and his family whom you adore so much doesn't deserve your love to be precise ..
After reading this letter and seeing the attached clippings you will know that its this very family which should be held responsible for the death of your parents !!
Your parents Anuradha Gupta and Punit Gupta died in an accident on 16th May 1995 ... they died in a car accident ...
Did you ever think about who it could be because of whom you lost your parents so early in your life ??

Let me tell you something that you may not have been aware of ... something that even your foster parents may never have known ... your father Punit Gupta was an employee of the Maliks .. I hope you recognise the name ... thats your husband's father's name ... he was working for Mr.Malik.
I was surprised when I found this connection ... looks like your families were connected at various levels even before you both were born !! but then something else caught my attention.
Your parents died on 16th May and what about Arnav's parents ???
They died on the 17th ... 17th May 1995 to be precise .. the day their daughter was supposed to be married of !!
The day of celebrations turned into a day of deep mourning as Anjali and Arnav wept over their parent's dead bodies ... the marriage never took place for which I am thankful ... how else would Anjali Raizada become Anjali Jha which she was till a few years back !!!

Arnav's father .. Mr.Malik took a fancy to his employee's wife ... to be exact .. he cast his lustful eyes on Mrs.Anuradha Gupta who was quite a beauty in her own right ... he pursued her .. tried to win her love ... tried to woo her ... he even tried to blackmail her into giving into his charms using Punit Gupta as a weapon but she didn't budge and when Mr.Gupta heard about the teachery they decided to flee with their little daughter ... their Khushi but before they could do it ... Mr.Malik had them killed off !!!
Yes Khushi ... your parent's death was never an accident ... it was cold blooded murder by a man who couldn't get what he desired !!
When Arnav's mother found out about the teachery ... she was heartbroken ... she confronted her husband .. and he had no choice but to confess !!
Out of the sheer agony of the betrayal ... Arnav's mother shot herself on the very same day her daughter was supposed to be married off !!!
Mr.Malik ... tremendously guilty of his actions followed suit and shit himself !!!

The letter fell from Khushi's hands ... shock and pain enveloped her ... she looked at the clippings on her lap .. she looked at Arnav who had read the letter as well ... one look at his face and she knew whatever that was written in the letter was true !!
Arnav felt fear enveloping him ... he wanted to curse his father for haunting his life even after his death ... his past was coming back to snatch away the reason of his existence !!!
His father was the reason Khushi lost her parents ... she had unknowingly fallen in love with him ... the son of her parents murderers !!
Arnav was scared to even touch Khushi ... lest she refuses his touch ... he wanted to hold her ... comfort her ... he saw her holding onto her belly ... holding their babies close ... her shock never leaving her ... the doctor's warning flashed through Arnav's mind ... Khushi shouldn't be under any kind of stress and here she was facing the biggest reality of her life !!

Arnav slowly placed his hands on her shoulder ... and to his relief she didn't shove him away but neither did she acknowledge him !!!

The expressions of shock fear and anger from the various members echoing through the silent living room ... as soon as she was done ... she looked at the Guptas who looked shocked ... an expression of the deepest agony on their faces !!!
Akash looked at Payal ... he tried to hold her but she didn't acknowledge his presence ... instead she moved towards Khushi who had not uttered a word till then !!!
Payal sat down next to her and raised her face to look at her ... as soon as Khushi saw Payal next to her ... the tempest broke !!!
Khushi threw herself into her sister's arms as she wept ... Payal cried along with her ... Payal who had been Khushi's sister ... her best friend ever since the death of her parents !!!
It was Payal who had seen the little Khushi who struggled to accept the reality of her parents death ...
The nightmares scaring the living daylights out of her !!!

Arnav couldn't stand the sight in front of him ... though he tried to reach out to her ... Khushi didn't respond to him or notice him !!!
Her ignorance driving a stake through his heart ... he moved away from her ... Khushi didn't seem to care !!!
Arnav looked at Anjali ... his deepest fears reflected clearly in his sister's eyes !!!
He ran into the haven of her arms as he broke down ... Anjali held him close as Arnav shook with his inner fear and desperation !!!
A fear that was threatening to suck the life out of his beating heart !!

Khushi in Payal's arms ... Arnav in Anjali's arms !!
Not a single member of the family knew what to say or what is to be done !!!
Arnav clung to Anjali ... like a small child ...
"Di why us all the time ???? even after years of their death ... his single act of deception has come back to haunt us !!! his one cruel act is threatening to kill me Di ... its going to snatch away the love of my life !!!
Di I had already told Khushi about our parents death ... I had never thought of mentioning the names of the victims of our father's heinous acts to her because it never struck me as important !!! I should have thought about it !!! the coincidence was too much to ignore !!!
Di Khushis isn't talking to me ... she is not even aware of my presence Di ... what if she leaves me ???
What if I loose my Khushi and our children Di ??
I wont survive Di ... I will die the very second she leaves me !!! "
Arnav's words brought tears to everyone around them ... if there were 2 people who were oblivious to all of it then it was Payal and Khushi ... Anjali hugged him close .. cradling him ...
"Ssshhh Chottey ... don't think all this ... Bhabhi will never leave you... she knows you are not to blame in all this ... she loves you as much you love her Chottey ... she is in a shock now ... give her time to recover ... she will come back to you ...she will never abandon us Chottey !! "
Just then Khushi spoke ...
"Jiji .. take me away from here ... I want to be alone !! "
