PART 42

*Madhu's POV*

I guess this trip will be a much needed distraction with so many people around. I haven't spoken to Rishab and i have prepared in my mind that i am not going to talk about him future. Currently we were in railway station to catch the train to the hill station uncle was talking about.

"I love train rides" Ishita said

I couldn't agree more. Trains are always fun.

" Where is water bottle ?" I heard Rishab ask Ishita

"oh god i forgot the bag" she said looking around.

"Irresponsible " he mumbled.

I narrowed my eyes as if telling "who says".

" i will get one. Go and handover these tickets to Ranveer" Rishab said giving her an envelope.

Rishab received a call once Ishita left and he handed over his purse to me and waved dismissively as if asking me to get the bottle. Dominating douche. I am gonna make his life hell in this trip. See his authority to order me. Nevertheless i went to buy bottles as i was thirsty as well.

When i returned to the platform with the botlle a biggest shock awaited me as i saw the train was moving and Rishab was seen nowhere. I ran like a maniac behind the train shouting for it to stopas if it listens.

"Stoppp" i shouted.

After about few seconds as if hearing my plea a head propped out. Nothing a shocker that it was Rishab. He was bent backwards holding the handles and it so much reminded me of SRK. I ran as if in a marathon and he extended his arms for me. With initial failure i managed to hold his hand and get myself inside the train.

I breathed heavily with all those running and shouting. It was like a movie happening in real life, DDLJ style. After minutes when i opened my eyes Rishab looked at me curiously. I narrowed my eyes at him, he nodded a no and walked ahead.

The train ride was blissful. Though it was just three hour journey the evening breeze and sunset made it more memorable. We all had heart full laughter and fun. Contentment filled our heart when we got down at our destination.

"I am shivering" I said covering myself with a coat.

"Madhu its 8 at night what do you expect?" Ram commented.

I doubt if guys' skin are made of leather because no one seemed to be affected by the cold all roam around as if they are in goa beech in summer.

We planned to have dinner in restaurant and postponed the plan of having a garden dinner to tomorrow. That was good thing because i am a bit tired now.

I was to share a room with Ishita and we were more than happy with that. We will never be tired of gossiping and we love spending alone girl time ignoring boys. Especially in these past five days after everything happened between me and Rishab ishita has been a pillar support.

" I feel so sleepy" i commented cuddling to the pillow while Ishita was applying her cream.

We kept chatting while she was arranging her stuffs in the room. Well we are going to stay here only for two days so i can live with things in my bag and not gonna exhibit it around the room.

"I am already dreaming" Ishita said once she settled in the bed and switched off the lights.

That is so unlike Ishita because she is the type who prefers talking over sleeping unlike me. Anyways it didn't take much time before i dossed off.

"Ahhh " i shouted in between sleep once all the lights were on and people gathered around me.

I opened my drowsy eyes to look at beaming faces of everyone around. Everyone looked happy and fresh unlike me. I turned to look at Ishita who was grinning like a kid.

"happy birthday" everyone shouted in chorus.

God its my birthday. How can i forget that? I was too engaged with this Rishab fiasco that i forgot the whole special day of my life thing.

"Thanks" i said smiling.

The excitement wiped off my sleep. But that reminds me this is Rishab's birthday as well so where is he? I looked around and found him near the window looking at us all. He looked fresh like everyone. So is all the surprise wishing only for me and not him?

"i love the surprise. Thank you so much. I never expected this nor experienced before" i said gratefully once all cake cutting was over and cake eating started.

"We wanted to make it special for you" Aunty commented.

I consider myself lucky for landing in Khundra house for only one reason that they love me a lot.

After an hour everyone decided to return to their rooms but only before giving me the cupboard key.

"We bought so many gifts that we placed it all inside as a surprise " Khundra uncle said.

Gifts?!! The word excited me. As soon as everyone retired i impatiently opened the cuboard. Wow. There must be at least around 10 gifts. My lucky birthday. I along with Ishita began to open the gift.

First i opened a gift from Khundra uncle and aunty. It was a beautiful Gold necklace with matching earring. That was very thoughtful of them. Next was from kapoor uncle and aunty, it was a heavy worked saree. God i need streangth to carry it alone.

Next was from Ishita, it was a full lakmee eye makeup set. I laughed seeing it.

" So much like you " i said . she grinned.

Ranveer has gifted a beautiful bracelet with letter of my name hanging in a heart. That must be a designer. Yash gave DVDs of my favorite movie series. Ram has given two huge boxes of chocolates and Rohan gifted sun glasses.

Something caught my eyes when i was placing back the gifts in the cupboard. A card with a painting and behind it was written ' happy birthday'. The handwriting was Rishab's i was sure but why this? It is not even a proper greeting card.

"That miser has just given you this?" Ishita asked shocked.

I shrugged. Rishab is very thoughtful when it comes to gift. Then why this.

"he is just trying to insult you i guess. So don't gift him back anything " she said

I looked at the painting curiously. I have seen it somewhere. Ishita snatched that card and pulled me to bed. But my mind was on the painting. I have seen it somewhere. I couldn't sleep. It was only 1 in the morning. I was tossing and turning when i found the answer for my questions. The painting was right in front of me.

I went near it and examined when i found a box with a letter under it. There was a beautiful plain red saree. I took it in my hand and examined when a letter fell from it. There was a picture of the room's washroom.

I immediately rushed there and found a pair of silver earring in the soap stand with a similar card with picture of the hotel reception.

I think i get the idea. I woke up Ishita immediately.

"What?" she asked in sleepy tone.

"Help me wear a saree" i said

"What?" she looked at me confused.

Eventually i convinced her to help me wear a saree while explaining the whole gift thing.

"Are you sure ?" she asked

"never been more sure " i said smiling and went to the reception.

The lady there gave me a a cover with black sandals and a card with a shy smile. I wore the sandals and went to the fountain that was in the picture. I found beautiful box that read the words ' Place for your hairband'. I smiled removing my hair band. Rishab likes my free hair.

The next picture showed a doom like place. It was white in color. I needn't search for it as there was directions to guide me. It was a bit difficult to walk with saree but i was more excited to even bother to complain.

I reached the place but found nothing. Without giving me time to disappoint i saw fireworks sparkling in the sky that read 'happy birthday barbie doll'

"Oh Rishab " i sighed.

The dark sky with beautiful colors was a treat. I love it. I went inside that white shelter to find another clue. But as soon as i got inside it began to rain around there. I was confused as other places seemed dry.

My breath caught in my throat when i felt a warm hand embracing my waist.

"Rishab" i gasped

"happy birthday barbie doll " he whispered in my ears

"same to you " i said giggling.

Only few get a chance to tell this on their birthday i guess.

I tried to face him but he held me firmly. I heard something click and then slow music began to play. We started to move with the beats when Rishab spun me and turned around. He was wearing a black shirt and a black jean.

For the first time after days i met his eyes. They held the same love and admiration. His hands encircled me and pulled me out on the lawn. Wherever we went the rain followed. Without asking i knew it was his plan.

"i want to show you something " he said

I nodded. We moved the edge of the lawn. He closed my eyes with his two hands and i stood in front of the partial cliff.

"Are you gonna kill me?" i asked

"Don't ruin the romance with your silly jokes " he scolded

Romance?!! I never thought that word will re-appear between us.

I opened my eyes once free from his hold. Many red heart shaped balloons flew with some wordings on them. I caught hold of one such balloon to see what it read.

'I love you Madhu' was written on bold white letters.

My eyes widened in shock and i forgot to breath for seconds until his lips brushed my ear lobes.

"Love you Madhu " he whispered in my ears.

I turned to look at him and the eyes held absolute truth and affection. I hugged him instantly tears threatening to fall from my eyes. Happy tears of course.

"I thought you..."

"sorry Madhu " he said

"Only now did you realise your love?" i asked

"Actually i..." he trailed off he scratched his head

I narrowed my eyebrows.

"I wanted to this on your birthday. I was planning this since you came back from your parents's house but when you confessed your love. I was so happy but i just wanted to make it special for you the way you liked. So i behaved like such a jerk. I didn't know what to do" he said

I looked at him shocked. Should i laugh or get angry.

"please Madhu don't be angry at me. I was such a stupid you know " he said making those irresistible baby face

I couldn't help smile at his cuteness.

"Not angry?" he asked hopefully.

I nodded no.

"ha Thank you barbie doll " he said hugging me again.

Rishab snapped his fingers and the rain started to pour again soaking us wet.

"Why is this now?" i asked

Isn't the drama over yet?

"I love you barbie doll " he said

"love you too moron " i beamed.

Without further delay he kissed me startling me but i did gain composure. My first kiss in a rain to cherish life time.

Many of you guessed it right about Rishab having bigger surprise but a few hated him so hope he is back to form.

IMPORTANT NOTE :

It is being very difficult to manage to write with my collage schedule. Since it is new it is confusing and tiring. I will not stop updating but it will be late or maybe once in a week. Hope you understand.
