There was action and drama galore. Real life rivalled reel life in 2006. Some great love stories happened too, but who's interested in mush when you have punches and brawls?

In the ring: Raveena Tandon and Natasha.

Round 1: The year literally began with a bang when at a New Year's Eve party,

Raveena Tandon emptied a glass of wine on her husband Anil Thandani's ex-wife, Natasha's head.

Round 2: While Raveena accused Natasha of having bitched about Anil, Natasha said she has done no such thing.

In the ring: TV star Anuj Saxena and his wife Ismit Dadhiyal.

Round 1: After just about a year of marriage, Anuj decided to file for divorce apparently without giving an appropriate reason.

Round 2: Ishmit's parents apparently threatened Anuj to withdraw the case, prompting him to hire a personal bodyguard.

In the ring: Ram Gopal Varma and Manoj Bajpai.

Round 1: Soon after 'Satya', Ramu and Manoj had differences of sorts apparently because Manoj felt that Ramu wasn't dishing out meaty roles for him. They did patch up after a while.

Round 2: Ramu apparently approached Manoj for Samba's role in his version of 'Sholay' and the conversation ended up in a fight again!

In the ring: Ramu yet again and Mohit Ahlawat.

Round 1: Ramu's pet muse Mohit Ahlawat was suddenly dropped from his film 'Ram Gopal Varma ke Sholay'. Mohit was supposed to play Veeru.

Round 2: The reasons are not yet clear but while Mohit insisted that it was his decision to disassociate himself from the film, Ramu said he suddenly realised that Mohit didn't fit the role.

In the ring: Sanjay Gadhvi and Aditya Chopra.

Round 1: In spite of the super successful 'Dhoom' and 'Dhoom 2', Sanjay Gadhvi decided to cut the umbilical cord with the Chopras and is making a movie for another banner, Ashtavinayak films

Round 2: Apparently in a bid to get back at Sanjay, Aditya Chopra has planned 'Dhoom 3' with Shah Rukh Khan and a new director .

We kept out a few way too hyped altercations like the Rakhi Sawant-Mika episode, the Bachchan-SRK cold war and the Salman Khan-John Abraham battle - because too much ink has been spilt on them anyway.
