Saffi, my advice is, stay far away from that lunatic place for your own sanity.

Those fools LOVE LOVE LOVE to drag GC in everything and bash him. If JDJ continues to come for the next ten years, I'm 100% sure, that every year ( by some excuse) they'll mention GC and continue to bash him.
More than JDJ, they love to bash him

People can't accept criticism. Forget criticism, they can't accept it when other people's opinions don't match their own. Nobody's asking them to like GC/be his fan/appreciate him, but just because I used to have PV sigs, doesn't make me a freaking fanatic. I don't even really consider myself a fan of him if I really think about it. I like his acting, that's it, just like I lot a lot of other people's acting as well. x.x Member's there just love to personally attack others. Now, more than ever, I'm really appreciating how sane our forum has been in comparison to other madhouses.

I have seen Mona's work before but unfortunately, I can't remember how she was. She didn't really leave much of an impact on me but there's one striking similarity between her and Kratika which is their voice texture. Both sound pretty much the same - there's a bit of huskiness in their voice, which IMO is very sexy. *Not KJo's sexy!* 😆 I am just happy that Kratika was being considered to be cast opposite Amit ji. Says a lot about her talent.

I had a feeling I'd heard of Miilee somehow, so after reading Anu's post about Mona's voice texture, I tried looking up some videos about the show. When I clicked on the video for the show's title song, I realized that I had heard that tune and seen that girl before - she was introduced during the last episode of Sanjivani, complete with cap and background tune! My "Aha!" moment of the day. 😆 I remember watching that final episode of Sanjivani and thinking, "What is this? Who on earth is this girl? I know Omi is very friendly, but this is really random...He's a married man with an adopted son. Who is this tomboy on The Basketball Court?" Now I know. Promotional tactic! 😆 The title song is catchy, haha! Hooray for Sonu Nigam. I also recognized a bunch of other actors from Star shows and films that I have seen. Ah, the days of dramatic sound effects, multiple zooms, and catchy, jingle-like title songs!

Edit: Speaking of jingle-like title songs...Mona V. was in Radhaa Ki Betiyaan Kuch Kar Dikhaayengi as well. She played the oldest daughter out of three (the other two were played by Ragini Khanna and Ratan Rajput). Another "Aha!" moment for me. I'd wanted to check that show out for Ragini earlier but that took a backseat because of other shows. And now it's found me again. It's a small world!

RIGHT! She is the Milee girl! Hahaha, actually now come to think of it, she sounds a bit like Nia Sharma as well.Kratika has such an unconventional voice quality but there has never been a single instance where I was annoyed by her voice or anything. I hear so many of the actresses these days with such whiny and annoying voices that I can't even bring myself to watch the shows even if I think of giving them a chance.

Voice quality! *sigh* Just when I was about to watch the first episode of RKB to see what Mona sounded like back then (I confess that my primary reason is to see what craziness Ragini's character Ragini got up to, LOL!) you end up posting something about voice texture and quality, Anu...

I am always impressed by how much variation there is in Kratika's inflection when she speaks. I've said this before but it never fails to amaze me how melodious her voice is at times...and then she can slip down into a lower register whenever she needs to say something with quiet forcefulness. So much power in that voice at those times! But there's also a beautiful lightness in her tone as well whenever that is required of her. Most of all, she is always restrained - her voice doesn't screech out of control at all. *forever in awe of her voice modulation and control over her body* Everything she does in front of the camera seems completely natural!

Exactly! She doesn't sound screechy nor does she sound like she is whispering! There are so many actresses out there who sound like they are whispering when they try to act nervous. There's always this power in the way Kratika projects her voice which stands out. One can only be amazed.

Was at a FB page and I was surprised to see how dense some people are. Actually, I shouldn't be surprised no? Right now, I am scared of even mentioning Gurmeet in this AT, lest someone jumps out of nowhere to say something offensive.

Ah, yes. I forgot about the whispering. Whispering to sound nervous, whispering to sound seductive, whispering to sound speechless and breathless...And then there's speaking loudly, which is apparently a "normal voice", while shouting is the way to express anger. And then I think of Kratika and all of the shades of emotion in her voice, not to mention her eyes. There can be vulnerability and insecurity buried underneath a seemingly strong tone of voice, but there can also be immense strength in a quiet, intense command. In all of this, I can't separate the emotions that shine through in her eyes from the emotions that can be heard in her voice.

*sigh* All sorts of people in this world of ours, Anu...And across quite a few IF show forums, I've had a sample of many interesting conversations in the past...I shall say no more.
