Chapter 5
Khushi decided she should meet him now and speak to Arnav as she cannot avoid this anymore.. She cancelled all her meetings and appointments for that noon and she left for his office.. She had to decide today that did she want this deal really or will she back off.. It all depended on her talk with Arnav..
In AR fashions
Lavanya was surprised to see Khushi at the office.. She was wondering what would happen when they meet now..!! She was excited to tell to Aakash.. By then Khushi came to her and spoke
Khushi: Is Arnav busy?? Can I meet him??
Lavanya: Yes Khushi Ma'm.. He is in his cabin.. DO you want me to call him and tell??
Khushi: No need' I'l go and see myself..Thanks..
Lavanya: Ok..this way is the office..
Khushi left towards his office..Lavanya ran to Aakash to tell him with the recent visitor to AR fashions.. Khushi knocked lightly to his cabin door.. She observed that his cabin was made of glass and she thought that he had a great taste in interiors..
Arnav (without looking): Come in.. Lavanya how many times I told you don't disturb me!! Now tell me what it is and finish off soon..
Khushi: Hmm.. Its me Arnav!!
Arnav turned towards his door and looked up to find Khushi. He smiled and greeted her..
Arnav: Hey.. Come in.. sorry I thought that it was Lavanya..
Khushi: Its ok.. But I think you were not in a mood to meet anybody..!! I'm so sorry.. I'l come another time then..
She was about to leave..
Arnav: Hey.. No wait.. Its nothing like that..We can speak..Come..
Khushi: Ok.. thanks..
They both sat on the couch in his cabin..
Arnav: You need something to eat or drink??
Khushi: No thanks.. I'm fine..
Arnav: I know why you have come here.. lets talk..!!
Khushi: Ya..!! I have no idea what to do now??
Arnav: Ya.. tell me first what your board of directors told decided in the meeting??
Khushi: Look I don't want to beat around the bush.. They decided that our relationship should be like on permanent basis.. Only then they can make their investments.. What about yours?
Arnav: Hmm.. Same here.. They also need same as we are investing in a pretty small company..Rather an upcoming company.. What was the solution that they gave you??
Khushi (awkwardly): I think it's better not said.. Now I feel this whole idea is a bad one and I should back off!!
Arnav did not like the idea a bit. He wanted to help her. He wanted to get that smile back on her. If marriage is the solution for that then he was ready for that. He was clear now!!
Arnav: No Khushi, You are doing nothing of that sort..!! The people in my office gave the idea that if there is a marriage taking place between the two company then everything will come back to normal.. What you say??
He just told it as a casual thing. Khushi took a whole minute to just understand what he spoke. She thought that why was he doing so much to her? and marriage? between whom??
Khushi: Arnav.. What are you telling? How can we do that? Will you marry my sister Payal just for the sake of this deal?? Such a big sacrifice??
Now it was Arnav's turn to be shocked!! He wondered what's up with all that they are thinking of all the possible ways of marriages except for his and Khushi's!! Was she really not interested to get married to me..??
Arnav: I don't know Khushi. But I want to help you. But marrying your sister was not actually the idea that was in my mind.
Khushi (confused): then who? In your house you are the eldest and in my house Payal is the eldest, hence that is how it should be right?? Unless you want to marry me!!!
Khushi was shocked with what she just said. She looked up to see Arnav's face which had the expression "Exactly what I had in my mind"!!
Khushi: I really don't know about that.. I mean jiji should be the first one to get married in my house as she is the eldest. But I can't tell her to sacrifice her life just for the business by marrying you also..!!! I am so confused!!
Arnav: Its ok Khushi.. Take your time and think.. Let me know what you decide.
Khushi (doubtfully): That means Arnav you are ready to marry me if I agree??!!
Arnav: If that is the only option to make this deal then I'm ready I guess!!
Khushi was thinking now. If he is ready then am I ready for this? She had so meny things in her mind now. Finally she spoke
Khushi: I will tell you whatever it is.. Cya..
Arnav: Sure, C you soon..
She left his cabin and made herself towards the exit. She was in her own world.
Lavanya had run to Aakash and told him about the sudden visit of Khushi to AR fashions and that she is in Arnav's cabin. Aakash was more than exited to know what was happening. He was curious to know what kind of solution these both will come up with for this deal!!
Just then he saw her coming through the steps from Arnav's cabin. He must admit she was one beautiful lady he had seen till now..!! He felt that she was too much engrossed with her thinking.
Lavanya saw Khushi coming and spoke
Lavanya: Ms Gupta!! I hope you spoke to ASR? He was available right?
Khushi (coming to senses): Yes Lavanya, Thanks for letting me in..
Aakash was standing beside Lavanya. He used this opportunity completely. He introduced himself to her.
Aakash: Hi, I am Aaksah. I am brother of Arnav. We haven't met before.
Khushi (smiling): Hi, I am Khushi. I am here regarding the deal I had proposed to Arnav, nice to meet you Aakash.
They both shook hands. Aakash observed that she had told "Arnav", means both are quite close to each other now or else they should have met before. He thought he will speak to his bhai later.
Aakash: Oh ok. I think you were leaving now?
Khushi: Yes, I finished speaking to him. I'll see you later.. cya..
Then she left. Aakash made his way towards Arnav's cabin to know what happened. Aakash knocked and entered. He saw his brother on couch in deep thoughts..
Aakash: Bhai?? Is everything all right?
Arnav (coming to reality): Oh Aakash, Yes. Just feeling tired. I think I will go home. You look after rest of the work here.
Aakash was now confirmed that something huge has happened. He did not want to disturb his bhai now.
Aakash: Ok bhai, I'll look after here.
Arnav left to home. He wanted some quality time to think what was happening to him and what to do next.
In the car
Khushi thinking to herself that how come he agreed to marry her? Just for this mere deal? May be it's a bid deal for her, but not for him. That too he wanted to marry her rather than her sister. She wanted to simply think. She turned and headed to her home.
At Raizada mansion (RM)
Arnav came inside the house and headed to his room. He shouted to HP telling him to get coffee to his room.
He near the poolside thinking of the day when he had saw Khushi for the first time..
FLASHBACK
2years ago
Arnav was leaving to London for a business deal. He was in the airport waiting for the call for his flight. He was busy checking his mails and replying them.
He heard a sweetest and the most melodist voice ever.
"Yes Amma, I will take care of myself. If any problem I will surely let you know"
"Its not like that beta, You are going to an unknown country all alone. It is not that easy" said a worried mother.
"Amma, don't worry. I am staying in hostel there and also its just a matter of 2years" said that sugar voice again.
Arnav chuckled listening to the conversation. He wanted to see the face of that sugar voice. So he turned, he looked at the most beautiful, elegant, adorable and not to mention sexiest girl!! He thought that she should be worlds most beautiful and breathe taking girl. He was staring at her as though he was not feeling enough of staring at her. He thought as though god has made her with all his skills and with full free time!!
He just then heard the call and came back to his senses. He felt as though the time was frozen till now!! He chuckled at his thought and made towards his plane. He heard her bidding good bye's to her family and leaving. He was happy that she is coming in same plane.
He entered the plan and made to his seat in business class. He seated and closed his eyes. He could see the same angelic face in front of his eyes and he smiled faintly!! He suddenly opened his eyes on realization and though what was wrong with him!! She was just a girl.. Why is she bothering so much..
Just then he heard the voice..
"Excuse me? Could you move a little so that I can sit??"
Arnav was dumbstruck!! It was the same face and the same sweet voice!! He thought he was imagining and did not respond..Now he felt a small pat on his shoulder, followed by
"Hello, Can you hear me? I told move a little, its my seat"
Arnav coming back to senses.
Yes of course, sorry I was thinking something"
"Its ok, Thanks"
She sat next to him. He thought he must have been very lucky today. He smirked and turned to stare through the window.
The plane started. Both were quite for small time. But she observed that she was constantly glancing at him. He felt wiered. He thought of asking but before that she spoke,
"Hi, I am Khushi Kumari Gupta"
"Hi, I am Arnav Singh Raizada"
"Bingo!!! That is how I know you!! You are the director of AR fashions!!!THE RAIZADA!! I was wondering from that time that I have seen you, but was unable to remember"
Arnav surprised by her excitement. He told smiling,
"Yes, I am THE RAIZADA!! BTW where you had seen me? You have met me?"
He was wondering now that how stupid he must have been to miss such a beautiful face before!!
"No no, we have not met. I have seen you in some fashion shows and magazines!!" She told smiling sheepishly.
"Fashion shows??!! You attend those??"
"Yes, along with my dad.. He has a small fashion company of his own!!"
Arnav surprised.."His own?? What's the name??"
"Gupta fashion house, He have started it 5years ago."
Arnav thought that he had heard that name few times and knew that it was not a big company. He have heard that the director is intelligent and very hard working..
"Oh yes..I have heard few times"
"Hmm.. So you are going for business deal??"
"Yes, for 2 days. You?"
Khushi smiling "2 years!! For fashion course!!"
"Really??!! Good.. Which one?"
"London College of fashion" she said proudly!! Because she knew it was very difficult to get a seat there. She was really proud of herself for getting into this. Her Bauji was on cloud9 when his daughter told that she was selected. He had a strong wish that his daughter should join his business and get it to much higher level.
"Wow, that's huge!! I am the alumni of that college. I was the pass out 5years ago!!" he told surprised and happily.
"Oh ya??!! Then I hope one day even I will get my bauji's business to your level!!" She told hopefully yet confidently
Arnav was most amused by her words "Oh sure!! So you want to compete with me??!! I this I should better be prepared in 2years!!"
"Ya!! Be carefull ha??!!" Both burst out laughing..
FLASHBACK ENDS
He was laughing his heart out when he heard knock on his door. He came back to reality and opened the door to find HP with the coffee. He took the coffee and closed the and moved back to poolside.
He thought what happened to that Khushi he met 2yrs before? This Khushi hardly knows to smiles. She must have just returned back from London and she already joined her dad's business?? That was very soon. He also thought that she had never mentioned her dad during the meeting or talking about the deal. She always told she will decide and tell. Something must have gone terribly wrong and that is the reason for her to change like this..!! Again he drifted back
FLASHBACK
The rest of the flight was passed by talking and talking and of course she was the one who spoke most. She spoke about everything from her childhood till her way into the plane and about her family, how much they all love each other etc.
Arnav felt as though he had gone to some other world. He had never met anybody that talkative and yet made sense!! He was a man of less words but she had made him to speak to her more than his capability. He felt he is different with her. He liked it.
As all good things come to an end, the journey was also over. Some corner Arnav did not like it and he wanted to be with her. He suppressed those thoughts and bid good bye to her.
FLASHBACK ENDS
Arnav decided that she has gone through very big pain and that is why she is like this. For a girl who was never afraid of anything, confident and pure at heart to change to this way means she had witnessed some horrible thing. Arnav concluded that he needs to speak to Khushi and ask her directly what's the matter. He thought talking in office may not be good so he decided to meet her outside.
Precap: Arnav asks Khushi what was the reason that made her like this. Like as though she has lost all hopes in life. Khushi feels that she should tell him the truth before telling YES to marriage!!
