I wish she had removed the mangalsutra in front of the family and handed it to him...

Loved the updated K. Me and Tanu were talking about how Khushi needs to leave the man, so you can imagine we were both doing out happy dance after the update.

Call me a sadist, but i love agony so I'm all for this.

I felt bad for Khushi but I'm glad she stood by her words and walked out, like she said she would.

I also echo what Meera said earlier. Women are expected to be doormats in our society and I can only hope more women are able to this strong when facing such situations. Some girls never get their voices heard or their justice, and we can only hope stands we take today make it easier for our daughters, nieces, etc.

Heylo Vee, no worries...jumping of all kind is welcomed 😆

Well yes, the elders who manipulated, blackmailed, and held a gun to his head are in the wrong also. They were unfair to judge La prematurely, they were unfair to blackmail and threat Arnav, and they were wrong to drag an innocent Khushi into the middle.

But these women aren't acting much differently from how most of the older generation folk would react in reality. In fact, I recently saw something just like this unfold in my own family. With threats of disowning, tears, theatrics dragged out for over a year, but the couple in question hel their ground and eventually the families came to terms with it.

While the ladies aren't free of blame, the responsibility of doing right by La was on Arnav's shoulders and he failed to do so. To me, it makes him a coward and he bears more responsibility for how things unfolded.

Im not saying he would have been able to resist their pressure in the long run, but he never did give us a chance to see how long he could weather a storm...instead he buckled.

Sorry for jumping in, me think the same too, the people if in love, I put if with bold are well established in the society, Arnav gave up on it for material things like AR, society and social status. La is perfect in calling him all the names, as he showed her the dreams.

Manipulations apart he ditched her as plain as that, if his family was more important to him he would have convinced them. He held the guns finally and he decided, destroying La and Khushi, but Khushi's mainly as she had nothing to do with this mess. Please pardon me for jumping in. For me it is totally Arnav I blame, as he still continued to lie and cheat

It is not only Arnav's fault. I admit and agree that he has acted spinelessly, but I think that to some extent, his family is at fault too.
They themselves decided that Lavanya was unfit for Arnav, without even bothering to know her. That to me, was distinctly unfair. They should have atleast MADE an effort to know her, and not only base their opinion on her career choices and lifestyle. When has somebody's career and lifestyle been an indicator of how good their character is? And above all, they never let Arnav know. What if the relationship would have worked out? What if Arnav and Lavanya would have been very happy? I think it is important to make one's own mistakes and learn from them, Arnav's family never let them do that.
And so they decided to ruin three lives, Arnav's, Lavanya's and Khushi's (who - might I had, did not even have anything to do with Arnav and Lavanya)
I think it is distinctly unfair that we blame just Arnav, when his family behaved stupidly.

No need to apologize for jumping in😆

I love these kind of debate/discussions..., just last night Mehak and I were saying this place has gotten so boring as there's nothing to discuss and then BAM K drops us something.

I respect your POV but I will blame Arnav only for this mess. Just a little resilience could of changed this whole situation. People can threaten and manipulate all they like but at the end of the day what counts is the decision of the person on the receiving end of all of it.

First challenge and he failed. It is quite easy to blame others and I'm sure they had their part to play but V, Arnav has to bear the consequences of his actions.

We laugh because we can't cry...(PJ, the isles)

This is prediction to the N dun by expel! And I scoffed and laughed it off then..now it's come to bite me!

Really great update. High drama, High emotion, High heartbreak, high loss of faith in characters, high destiny is a Bleep, high society!...in short high Sab kuch! Perfect, that's what them interludes are made of ya?

You basically write and justify what I say in my comments...so can't say I am surprised at khushi's dialogues or behaviour. Trust issues all around. Glad she has a new place, new environment to nurse a broken heart and just come to be her own..without any so-called family interfering. Or won't they interfere? And another thing is she is still young and has the rest of her life to look forward, she will probably be holidaying in Nice, Greek islands..doing charity work in Africa, and be awesome in 5years time..because IIMA is God of money and jobs? Chasing dreams FTW.

Akash the Saving Grace...the chasing dreams ensurer!

Arnav that boy/man. I am a constant grass is green on the other side person..and I can't help think that for him also! Now wouldn't it be better to have run away with lava and start over, with the belief that his family would have come around? Obviously he isn't a let's run away to SKD person like me, or has the option of starting over in Abad..so what is he going to do..to be his own person?! Is this when he starts hating the institution of marriage and family et al? Or does he become a Zen like person..all understanding..?

The family. Hahaha.

Too emotionally attached to the characters to sound coherent, rational or discuss it anymore..cynicism, laughter and rhetoric-s it will have to be, for now!

Luna
Ps. You really did hit the spot. Great stuff NB!

I happy for khushi she gives everyone piece of their mind, relationship which build on lies never stay for long time. Family used own game to play life of a simple girl why because they wanted to marry their son with suitable girl. Khushi who lives without her family all her life they used her. but not arnav they gave him a choice

I don't hate arnav I never be but I don't like how he handles the situation and mostly his life. He has a choice when his family asked him to marry khushi but he chooses status, name and power over love. He loved lavanya because of her charms and beauty. That's not enough for him to fight for his love

He didn't fight because his love for lavanya is weak. How much he hurt because he left lavanya but their's something not in their relation which never brings them in marriage. I m not offending his relationship with lavanya I just believe is inner love and most important love with respect and trust. Beauty and charms is something but not everything.

No one is perfect everyone have their own flaws like arnav. khushi she was trying not to cry but when she gets alone and darkness welled over her life she cry her heart out and most importantly she alone to handle her pain she alone to handle her life there's no one who assure her everything go alright in her life again.

Again arnav has his Di and family who always think what is good for their chote. What he deserve I don't know but he doesn't deserve punishment and heartache he wanted to work on his marriage but he's weak and now he needs to grown up now and understand what is important for him, overcome his weaknesses and understand what actually love is.

Khushi deserve some one better someone strong someone who always assure her happiness and trustful relationship

I hope sometime in his life when arnav will looks for real beauty and life most important beautiful heart he definitely think about khushi at that time.

And at that moment he will get to know

Does he still love lavanya?

There should be laughter after pain
There should be sunshine after rain

Wonderful lines…love u for this

Thanks for updating, definitely was expecting it today!!

I am so glad that Khushi stood her ground, and told them all off, as they all deserved it. I'm glad that Payal didn't deliberately lie to Khushi (hopefully Khushi realizes that soon). But Nani and Mami are horrible, cowards. They ruined an innocent young girls life, just for the sake of keeping their status in society.

Khushi's question to Arnav was great. And I'm glad that was the deciding factor for her. How could she possibly stay with a man who admits to being in love with another woman?

Arnav, a flawed man for sure. But I just don't get him. He's been going through heartbreak over letting go of Lavanya (which he didn't technically do), and now he's upset that his wife, who he hasn't treated like a wife, has left him. Make up your mind, Arnav...because from what I have read of him, he loses all rational thoughts when Lavanya even makes an appearance in front of him. I have a hard time believing that he would have left her completely alone even if Khushi was still in the picture...now with her gone, will he pursue Lavanya again, or will he try to get his wife back? He's in a mess for sure.

I am very hopeful for Khushi and that life she is going to lead from now. I hope she proves that she doesn't need the Gupta's or the Raizadas, and shows that she's a survivor even with all the bad things that have happened in her short life.

Looking forward to the next update!!

Too intense...!the puppeteers who orchestrated this marriage do not seem to feel anything beyond a bit of remorse...but the A and K who had refused this alliance is paying the price big time...!

Time is what was needed and that is what was not there...love is not an emotion you can wipe clean and start over instantly...Arnav unfortunately does not have that luxury given to him. Kushi wanted him to say no and for once Arnav was honest.

Too many hearts are broken and trust betrayed...! Both Kushi and Arnav need time to introspect and get on with life either together or separately. And I hope for their sakes none of the well meaning family interferes...!

Be interesting to see how this story moves forward...who will prove to be the bigger person..!

A very touchy and emotional update.

Khushi felt that the whole family including her sister and her adopted parents had betrayed her and cut ties with everyone except for Akash. I'm very happy that Akash support ed Khushi at the need of hour and re-arranged her tickets, knowing her state, and thought that it would be good if she stays away from his manipulative family and his brother as well who had betrayed her.

Khushi has finally decided to move on and call it quits in regards to that relationship. It so painful to see Khushi in such situation without anyone and she cried thinking if her mother was around to protect her and pacify her that everything would be alright. I hope these memories don't haunt her and hinder her studies..

Appreciated Arnav's honesty when he respond to Khushi that he still loves Lavanya. Hats off to him. It is natural that it would take some time for him to stop loving Lavanya, and he has clearly intended to move on with Khushi and make their relationship work as well, so if the chance was given to him, I'm sure he would have definitely loved Khushi more than Lavanya and down the lane, his heart would have been full of Khushi only. Being matured enough Khushi should have thought about this and gave him a second chance before calling it quits, she was anyways going to Ahmedabad for her studies and this could have helped her to get over the memories and probably interacting/communicating with Arnav remotely for two years would have helped them to take a decision on their relationship. I hope Arnav comes to Ahmedabad and try to resolve the mess he has created and build trust for himself in Khushi. He should shadow Khushi in background in Ahmedabad and let her achieve her dreams by removing all the hurdles and obstacles coming her way and being with her always in the background. Hopefully once she emerges as an independent woman and comes out in flying colors, she would realize what Arnav has done to her and how much he is repenting his deeds, and could reunite..

Last but not the least, the updates are beautifully written triggering lots of discussions/comments from each and every reader providing their perspectives about the story... You truly deserve a standing ovation👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
