I fornone would have gone for Devyani's faluda rather than Doyal's who's one looked a right mess. Devyani's sugar flakes on the top of the faluda were also soo much better than Doyal's.

It is made of cornflour and water and I think these people added rose water and colour as well. The other part that made up the red portion was rose syrup which is nothing but sugar, water , rose essence and colour. Sugar would have been the only differentiating factor - not something that required any chef to make a face or act all serious as we all prefer different levels of sugar in our desserts
