Taani's P.O.V.

I wake up the next morning in an extremely awkward position and I have no idea how I got there. With a huge headache, I sit up and rub my head, trying to ease the pain. Getting off the bed, I walk towards the door. Then, I begin to open the door. I open it enough to see the huge mess outside and incidents from last night run through my mind. The party, me getting drunk, the dancing, Rey carrying me to my bedroom and lastly the kiss. OMG, the kiss.. Rey kissed me.

I feel anger burn in my throat. How could Rey kiss me? As I think about last night, the anger is replaced with confusion. Why did I kiss him back? But why did he kiss me? I get out of bed and rush over to his room to give him a piece of my mind. As I go to knock on his door, I'm stopped by a loud voice.

"God Mom, I'm fine. You don't need to call me all the time. I'm old enough to take care of myself. And you never cared before so you don't have to keep calling me. Don't Worry Mr. Shekhawat isn't here, you don't need to keep a good impression on him. Goodbye"

I hear a vase being thrown across the room. The anger boils in me again. Funny how only he can get me so angry. I barge into his room without his permission. He stumbles back a little obviously startled.

"What is your problem?"

"Taani, I can't talk right now"

"How can you be so heartless? First, you come live in my house and act like you own the goddamn place. Then, you decide to throw a party behind my dad's back who was been nothing but kind to you. And you decide to kiss me without my permission. Then you break things that don't even belong to you in the first place. And you decide to yell at your mom. All she was asking you was how you were? She was just trying to find out about her son. At first, I kind of felt bad for you, being away from your family and everything, but after seeing how you behave with your parents, I know for sure that you deserve every piece of shit that gets thrown your way. How can you act this way with the people that lo-"

Before I can finish saying anything, I'm slammed against the door.

"Don't you dare say they love me. " He says and I can feel the hatred almost burning off of him

Again the anger settles in my stomach. "Of course, they love you. If they didn't love you, they wouldn't have sent you here so you could have a better future. You're such an inconsiderate little brat."

"Listen here princess, I've said it a million times and I'll say it again to you. You don't know anything about me so don't go around in your perfect little world, judging me. You're life isn't even nearly as bad as mine has been."

"Nearly as bad? You're life isn't bad either. You have the money, the clothes, the friends, the parents. Everything, so I really don't know what you're complaining about." I argue back. I could go at this all day, he was being so ungrateful.

"The parents? Ha, yeah I have the parents. My life is so perfect. LATATATATA. Just a big bowl of perfectness with unicorns and rainbows right? "The sarcasm in his tone way to evident to miss.

"Seems like it to me." I smirk, thinking I've won this battle.

He presses his body to mine, leaving no space for even air to pass through. His eyes darken, and as I stare into them, I see a hint of an emotion, I haven't seen in them before. Hurt.

"Well wrong." He shoves his wrist in my face.

""You see these? These scars, This is what I got every time I got in trouble."

He then lifts his shirt up a bit.

"This mark, I told people I got it while fighting a kid. But no, I got this because I didn't get the grades my parents wanted. I don't think you want to see more. You don't know shit about my life, so don't go around telling me how I should treat people okay?"

He grabs my waist and pulls me off the door. Before I can digest news he has told me, and utter a single word, he has stormed out of the room. I stand paralyzed, not being able to take in the information that he had just thrown at.

This whole time, I had been cursing him, shouting at him, thinking about how ungrateful he was, but he wasn't. He had gone through so much.

I feet the feeling of guilt replace the anger that was in me just a few moments ago. Cursing myself, I run after him.

I run out the door but when I get to the front of the house, I no longer see his bike parked there.

Rey's P.O.V.

The wind harshly blew on my face, indicating I was driving way too fast. But at this point, you couldn't possibly expect me to care.

I can't believe I told her everything. Ugh, how could I have been so stupid? It was only her, who could get this type of reaction out me.

Listening to her words, had just opened up the wounds, I had been trying to heal. Just inflicted all the pain I had felt my whole life.

But thing is, no one knew me as that. For the world, I was Reyaansh Singhania, Son of the CEO of the most profitable and successful company in the US.

No-body knew the real Yuvraj and Savitri Singhania. The sweet caring nature, they put on front of the world was just a mere act. Only Rey had faced their harsh reality.

Flashback

Rey(age:7): Mama Mama

Rey ran into his house, screaming mama loudly. He got inside and saw a bunch of men in black suits which he guessed to be his dad's parents.

Savitri: What is it Reyaansh?

Rey: Look, I won second place in the dance competition

Savitri: Great

Rey: But mama look, It's so pretty. Just look

Savitri: Reyaansh, go to your room.

Rey frowned but without questioning went to his room. He stayed up waiting for his parents to come but soon fell off to sleep. In the middle of the night, he was awaken, by his door being slammed open.

Yuvraj: Reyaansh Singhania. I can't believe you embarrassed me infront of all those important people. What must they think of me? That I am such a failure at being a dad? That the son of one of the richest men alive comes second. You were such a mistake and a regret.

THAP.

That was Rey's first encounter of what would turn out to be the worst 15 years of his life.

Flashback 2

Rey(age13): Dad

Yuvraj: What do want Rey? Can't you see I'm busy.

Rey: But Dad look, I finally won first place in the dance competition.

Yuvraj: So?

Rey: You always wanted me to win first place and now I did. Aren't you proud of me?

Yuvraj: Proud of you? You want me to be proud of you? Oh wow, my son won first place in a school dance competition. You think that's going to get you anywhere?

Yuvraj snatched the trophy from Rey's hand and threw it across the room, causing it to break. In tears, Rey ran out of the room.

End of Flashback

Flashback 3

Rey(age17): I'm going out

Yuvraj: No you're not

Rey: Yes I am

Yuvraj: No you're not.

Rey: Yes so goodbye.

Rey slammed the door and stormed out of his house. At 12:30 he returned home and was sneaking to his room when he heard his parents talking.

Yuvraj: I told you, we would regret this. Out of all the kids in the world, why did he have to adopt him? There were so many kids in the orphanage, but no only my luck was horrible. That's it, I've decided after today, I'm just going to ignore him. I can't wait until he finished college and then I can kick him out.

Rey felt his heart sink. He was adopted? And his parents saw him as a regret? Without saying anything, he went to his room and cried himself to sleep.

End of Flashback.

From that day, Rey tried to be the perfect son but Savitri and Yuvraj would just ignore him. After a while, he got tired of being ignored and craved for their attention, so he started to do things that would help get their attention, but instead it landed him here.

As I remember all the memories, I feel my eyes get wet, but I quickly whip the tears away.

"I don't care. I don't care. I don't care"

Repeating this in my head, I keep driving, completely unknown to where I was going

I'M SOSOSOSOSOSO SORRY FOR THE LATE UPDATE. I DON'T EVEN HAVE AN EXCUSE. I JUST GOT REALLY LAZY. SO SORRY😳

So, I know it was a bit senti but it was too show Rey's childhood, so feel happy because I put a bit of a Rey P.O.V.

This story will mainly be written from Taani's P.O.V. but occasionally, I might put in Rey's P.O.V. if i'm feeling nice 😆
