After watching 'The Dirty Picture' Antony Eastman, the director who introduced Smitha to Malayalam industry with his movie 'Inaye Thedi' called up script writer Kaloor Dennis who has written more than 15 scripts for Silk Smitha and told 'No this is not the story of the Smitha that I know, it's not her life. Let's make the real life story of Smitha'.

This is what encouraged Kaloor Dennis to write the script of Climax, the new movie on the actress's life. Directed by Anil, Climax was in fact one of the most awaited movies of this year.

I always wanted to know what actually happened in the life of Silk Smitha. I was sure that what was shown in The Dirty Picture was neither the real Silk nor her story. So was this Climax the real one?

Climax is not at all a well made movie. There have been feeble efforts from the director in keeping the movie very realistic –in tune with the period or ear. But what's different is the story line of the movie. It's a believable version of the real Silk's life. Even then the movie hasn't come out impressive as the direction is a big let-down. And the script too is quite average.

Now when I talk about the casting, Vidya Balan in The Dirty Picture or Sana Khan in Climax justifies the real Silk Smitha. Vidya did a commendable job and so has Sana Khan to an extent. She was much beyond my expectations as the Poonkodi aka Supriya in the movie. She has an expressive face! Shanthi Willaims who played the role of Sana Khan's step mom has done a decent job and so has Suresh Krishna as RK. But Subin Sunny who dons the character of RK's son is a total disaster.
