Before I go into a detailed analysis of the 21st episode... or not 😆 I must say I am amazed by how effective ZGH is. Kashaf is not the type of girl who would call her husband to let him know where she is. But she does it without compromising her character. Kudos to the writing and of course Sanam's absolutely fantastic acting. She is catching every nuance of her character with grace and delivering a performance with such subtlety that it leaves me wanting for more. Unlike in Hd when Indira is shown grousing for Rishi's attention she transforms into a completely different character. The HD writers make her beg and cry and we feel disconnected.
In ZGH Kashaf wants to know about her husband's whereabouts and shows a growing possessiveness. Yet she is the same old Kashaf playing a different role. Not once does she sound over eager or desperate. The viewers see her palpable 'tadap' for Zaroon but its included into the storyline almost organically. It is not affected and forced. Simply like how any wife would be in her situation. But Kashaf the wife never looses her original identity. On the other hand, Zaroon's mature understanding overshadows his previous image. Even though he utters the words "I love you" every hour, he never sounds like a love sick man. He sounds like a caring and doting husband in love with his wife. Nothing more nothing less. He humors his wife when she refuses to say what he wants to hear and supplants frustration with a warm smile. Never does Zaroon beg for her love. Yet they are in love and take each other's flaws and the limitations in their marriage with a warm embrace. This balance in the characters make ZGH an amazing watch. I cant say if its relatable or even possible for such a relationship to exist but it is definitely believable. 😊On the other hand I laud Rati! I dont think an Uttaran kind of situation would benefit HD. And hoping HD writers to up their game is wistful. Nupur was a celebrated character, a gear that is very hard to shift from. That character posed every thread to overshadow Rati. But Rati effortlessly rose like a phoenix out of its ashes. The proof lies in the fact that pple call her Indira or HD everywhere. Presently she is synonymous with the name Hitler didi. I guess that is why i dont think HD could survive without Rati's face. But nevertheless I want to see Rati don a different role for a better future. 😊
