Ang se ang lagana sajan mohe aise rang lagana

Bindhaas Besharam Behaya Blisteringly BadA** Bombastic Budhwar

Actions speak louder than the words today and we had lots of actions from characters.

The dance was RK's way of speaking with Madhu about his passion for her. Was it sensual, not in the least. Did RK care? Again not in the least.

Madhu is his OOO (Object Of Obsessive Ownership) and he will do anything to gether back. His is a loud character so actions has to come out louder, gaudy, kind of inyour face. We cannot expect him to walk patiently in the chawl, brush off the scene that he witnesses between sadakchap and his OOO and go talk calmly to Madhu.Nope, not his style. How long do we know RK now?

Do I condone his behavior? Not at all. Even though the dance was his way of speaking to Madhu, it also effectively told Sultan that things are not hunky dory between Mia-Biwi and Sultan just might have a chance with Madhu if Sultan really puts his mind to it. Today in my mind that was a really big setback for RK.

No need to get hyper about Sultan putting color on Madhu even if it had fallen in her maang. We don't live in baba adam's time. She can always wash it off later. It was all for our Right Kameena's benefit anyways.

Am I disappointed in Madhu? Again - yes and No. I don't care about her helping Sultan gesture. Her gesture is friendly not some come on signal to Sultan. If he takes it that way, it is his fault, not Madhu's. To her, he is just darling Aryan's dad. Nothing more nothing less. You are free to draw your own conclusions but Madhu will not waver from her path. On one side I was mentally willing her to start the violence (I said, come on take that thali and drop it on RK's head, go insane, kick him where it hurts the most) even before Bhujang got there. On the other side my heart was weeping for her inner struggle not to go pieces in front of the man who broke her completely yet is seemingly able to exert power on her whenever and wherever he wishes and her trecherous heart abandoning her mind when she needs its support the most. The smack realization for her that there is NO moving on from this man YET. She was under some kind of illusion which this man has shattered by this dance. The pain for her should be intense this time than what un-weddding drama gave her.

It is really a desperate situation for her. She is paralyzed emotionally, her mind shut off completely, her heart not obeying, limbs just being guided without their wish, her mind screaming and shouting with injustice of it all yet she is strangely mute, drawn towards RK. It is very easy for me to shout instructions at her to deal with RK the way I think is the best at the moment.

Story is progressing however RK-Madhu relationship is regressing.

Precap: Bhujang Shastriji, aap ke aagman ki muze prateeksha hai.

Thank you EML.

This step flows from contemporary dance.

Its disharmonious that contemporary dance was chosen by Rishbala for dancing in Chawl-yard with Holi as background. The conservative and traditional person in me would have preferred a dance form native to Holi festival. When its jarring like this, what did I feel as the viewer. The contemporary form stamped on my mind that the two people who are dancing away in all passion are totally oblivious to the world around them. There was an abstract element involved in their dance, as if they were supposed to forget the background and their current situation and just douse themselves in their passions.

But here is my dilemma. I was playing Holi all enjoying the festivity. Now where do I go ? when these people decided to siege the stage (chawlyard) and go on with their dance ? I am a reluctant viewer here...Do I have to stand or retreat ? What happens to my Holi ? And what is Sultan doing there ? Watching their passionate dance and feeling unpleasant about it, making the viewer in me cringe more. Am I being a voyeur ?!!!

Then in between Bollywood type of steps are thrown for the contemporary dance...breaking one of them from the trance, showing me what a guilty pleasure it seemed to one of them.

Agree contemporary dance is most free form with all creative freedom and nothing to be analysed there and just the see the emotions expressed. And agree Rishbala dance gave all that access to them.

Why I am reacting ? Holi background ?!!! 😲 ==> okay I get it two passionate souls, connected in passion and not connected in love. And what is Holi about? Holi is about Love.

Like I said yesterday - they are not connected in love, but they are very much two separate islands of love and passion pulling them towards each other.
  • Rishabh Kundra - I have to claim her back. I shall be the one to color her in passion with my love.
  • Madhu - I have color of love back in my life. I have shut him out of my life who gives me pain and I have welcomed this boy into my life who is now my joy.

Against this perspective...am I too imprisoned or narrow-minded. What is that I need to liberate myself to ? How I am to allay myself from being the realist ?
  • If I liberate myself - then I have to accept that "Rishabh Kundra was right. Madhubala Malik was right. - they are connected in passion."
  • If I am narrow-minded/caged then I have to accept that "Rishabh Kundra was wrong. Madhubala Malik was wrong. - it was not the time, not the place, not the occasion. They have far too many barriers to even think of loving each other"
  • If I am realistic, then I have to accept that - "Sultan was right. Sultan was wrong. - He was right to leave, wrong to watch." He could have stayed and fought RK if it was so hurting him to watch Madhubala Malik with her husband. Else he could have turned away his gaze if he felt disgusted by the couple's close dance.

There did I now explain, why my review was like that ?

It was quite adult in making that PDA -contemporary dance - the free movements, the independence between dance and music, the dance to be just danced and not analyzed- during a Holi sequence.

I need to see harmony and purpose in everything. The dance caused disharmony to me in all poetic sense and I took my pain and irrationality of it in anger and disgust.

And as always ST/CVs revel in drama that creates disgust to drive their point.

Well, for me it was quite a hyperventilation-and-vertigo-inducing episode !!! Entertainment entertainment entertainment all d way ... 😃

"Ghar se chale khaake qasam

Sarpe qafan bandhe hue
Aya diwaana yahaan" ...

So, our superstar(brat) has not budged much from d position he was in at d end of Saturday night epi. Everything is still about his egotism , his sense of entitlement n his possessive claims ...

To me, that dance definitely did not have any element of affection in it; Passion - Yes , but Affection - No ... n neither did it seem to matter to either of the two, if d public was watching or not ... it was all about RK imprinting his brand name on his 'biwi' ... n Madhu trying to fight him off, and yet, with pain - yielding to her passion for him, despite her self ... ( and I think d smirk on his face was because he could sense her yielding ) ... but what a hot number it was ... n beautifully choreographed too - fultoo Filmy ...

Reminded me of their dance on d party night ... this could be d optimist in me - but somehow it feels as if everything has come a full circle ... he started his ruthless revenge drama then ... will this day end by being witness to its culmination ... by making Rishab Kundra finally realize d extent of his transgressions - as Rji was hoping ? ... shayad BhujangBhai issmey hamari koii madad kar deyn ... janne ke liye dekhte rahiye MBEIEJ 😆

Btw , loved it when Sultan defeated RK in d first round , by 'accidentally' putting pehela rang on Madhu - served him right ... ( well rang maathe pe lagi hai mang mey nehi ... does it imply that Sultan will be instrumental in shaping her life's path , but will never have her Love ) ...
But Absolutely Loved it when RK beat SultanBhai at d Dhol contest - ( the Drum being the symbol of the Heart 😉 ) ...

Uttara,

Thank you for that review. Gives me peace. I needed that. It was one of those days, where I needed pep-talk through taking me to higher realms where I leave behind my pragmatism through something that I might have missed. And your post achieved that for me...a nice balance that I needed and with that bolded part at the end of your post.

I loved madhu's dance...DD loves to dance and it really shows. I loved it when RK walks in and smiles seeing her dance. Sultan watching her dance..and going slowly lattoo. Camera angles focused on her curves on purpose, the dance itself was quite decent. I'm trying to think...were the lines blurred between flirting and friendly today?? Actually I did'nt think so. We were seeing it from RK's vantage point. In isolation, Madhu was playing with Aryan, and trying to get Sultan to play because Aryan wanted it. Being a South indian, I find the holi festival scary because it seems to give a license for unwarranted touch through colour. It is in fact common to find men walking around with colour, smearing the cheeks of women around, in the presence of their wives. Throwing water, intentionally wetting a woman is also done, but that is counted as acting oversmart, crossing the line. Am I right? People who do play holi for whom it is a major festival , please correct me if I'm wrong.

Coming back to the episode...
Thought slow mo existed in movies, did'nt realise it also existed in real life...it took sooo long for RK to walk from the gate to Madhu. I did'nt expect the CVS to show Sultan colouring her first...did'nt think they would have the guts, after the TRPs last week. But they did. And they gave us that junoonesque dance to make up for it...😉
There was a post on Madhu /DD which I agree with. In one episode, she showed myriad expressions, fun, playfulness, fear, love, passion, hate, and helplessness. 👏 to DD.

RK loses the 'contest' (in his head ) to colour madhu, Sultan does it by mistake that too on her forehead. RK sees them fooling around, walks off. but comes back with elan, playing the dholki...his playing drowning out SUltan's dholki. he stops Sultan from interfering, claiming Madhu as his BIWI. To his credit, Sultan walks off. And then begins the passionate dance of wills between RK and Madhu. RK, willing her to react, and Madhu resisting, but drawn towards him, despite herself.

I liked about RK:
  • RK's madness, crazed junoon for Madhu as he plays the dholki, he looked possessed
  • RK'S attitude...no he did'nt slink off, he came back to confront Sultan, is he learning to behave a bit?? no breaking of furniture, no drinking, but he came back to face the situation.
i did'nt like about RK:
  • His triumphant smile as he got Madhu close to him each time she tried to get away.
  • It was more a possession game for him...or rather it turned out that way because he saw madhu with Sultan
I liked about Sultan:
  • His smile on seeing Aryan playing with other children
  • His walking off when RK arrived...
  • Hmm...I hate to say this, but he is takkar for RK..he is good looking, and has the guts to take him on. Never thought I would say this. Not like Mukund...who just melted away into the background. (I love RK more...though definitely😃)
I did'nt like about Sultan:
  • What was he getting so upset when RK-Madhu were dancing?? Arre, he knew she was married. Till the night before, he was mourning his wife, now suddenly he's feeling jealous😕. Make up your mind...what kind of a scary Don are you??
I did'nt like:
  • Madhu's tears in the pre-cap...tears of helplessness and despair, that she is not able to stand up to this man... her supposed husband, not able to break away from what she feels for him.

m sure sultan had his back towards rishbala...look closely...the blue decor curtains n the red holi color is all flying behind him...he wasnt lookin at rishbala m sure!!

ps: i luv rishbala (gud that sultan wasnt luking👍🏼)

Today's episode was good and I felt that the CVs have set the stage for the clash of the titans. I liked that MB celebrates almost all festivals and it was such a treat to watch the songs and dance sequences for each festival that they choose to celebrate in such a grand fashion. Today's Holi celebration was no exception.

Coming to the episode, I actually thought that it was a clear reflection of each character and their stance at this point in time in their lives. Sultan who was a tyrant, dictator/commander in chief in everyones' eyes has loosened up a lot and is now wanting to be a father to his son and is smiling at the happiness and joy that his son is experiencing in the company of Madhu. Aryan, who was always expected to act way above his age is finally allowed to be a child and is genuinely happy and delighted to be in the company of Madhu who made it all possible for him. Padmini, who was happy to see her daughter smile after a long time and was probably internally thanking the Gods for helping her daughter to see positivity in her life. Madhu, hiding her pain over the betrayal and seeking solace and comfort in Aryan. RK, who clearly wanted nothing to do with Madhu now wants everything to do with her since he feels that he is tuned to her and cannot let her be the way she is and be away from him.

Everyone including Padmini and Radhaji feels that Madhu has every right to move on in her life. I think so too. But has the girl truly moved on in her life? I personally don't think so. This is my observation and solely mine. Both RK and Madhu, are still in the process of realizing what one means to other and they still are coming to terms with the depth of relationship that they have shared and in some form still sharing. From her actions, I personally don't see any interest in her when it comes to Sultan. All I see is her seeking solace and comfort in little Aryan's company and if Sultan falls for her without her knowledge or without the knowledge of the convuluted relationship she shares with RK then where is her fault in this? I still think that RK was her first and true love and despite him calling it a game it was all real for her. So, she cannot just forget all of that so soon and so quickly just because there is another handsome guy hanging out in her chawl. Deep down, I think that RK still affects her and despite her not wanting him to have any effect on her he will always have that impact on her. She gets emotional every time she sees his poster and the other day she was holding back her tears, her pain and heartache. One thing that stood out in today's episode for me was that she was feeling his presence even before he walked through that chawl gate. She is so tuned to him that it will not all be easy to tune him out. She uses Aryan to divert her mind from RK and bringing happiness and smile in Aryan is probably the only thing that is keeping her from looking back or breaking down emotionally.

As far as RK, I still only see the possessiveness and ego in RK that he is the only one who can have her and noone else. Is RK back because, he cannot imagine his life without her or is he back because he fears that she will become Sultan's if he does not stake his claim? I want it to be former and not the later because the later will leave a bad taste in my mouth and the bad taste that his revenge drama left is still lingering and I don't want another one. Rishabala dance was pretty hot but the way it all started just did not go down well with me since he showed up uninvited and did not even attempt to put her at ease by wishing her "Happy Holi" or telling her how he had missed her and how he had been preoccupied with her thoughts. He can dance but still while dancing he could have said something to her. Him claiming to Sultan that she is his wife left be confused. Is he not the one to claim that they are no longer husband and wife and she is Madhubala Shamsher Malik. All of this was done in front of the chawl people and now he claims her as his wife. I wanted him to be remorseful and not prove that he is RK and can get anything he wants at any time. She is a human being and she needs to be treated with some level of respect. How is he going to win her back? Clearly not by forcing his way.. She herself told that she is scared of his insecurities for her and does not have relationship with Sultan other than saving his son. Why can he not trust her? He sees Sultan accidentally putting the color on her and jumps to conclusion that she is also in on it and is having a time of her life. But that is not true. It was an accident with the color hitting her forehead and her maang did not get filled for him to assume the worst. I did not understand the shock on everyone's face as though it was a crime. He did not even touch her. The other time when Sultan slipped and fell she gave him her hand to help him get up and RK misunderstands it.

RK is yet to admit his feelings for her and tell her that how her memories have been haunting him. Instead, he is hell bent on getting his way with her by forcing himself on her when she was going through a mixture of emotions. She tried to break free from him few times but he wouldn't let her. Sultan on the contrary cleared the place and let RK/Madhu sort it out and I applaud him for that. Married or not, they both are in some kind of relationship and they need to sort out on their own. He was decent enough to leave them alone but I think he kept his promise to Padmini that he will not let anything happen to Madhu or to her family and also for the chawl wasis in general by keeping an eye out. He was uncomfortable seeing the way RK was pushing and pulling her but still kept his cool and did not interfere. If it is anyone, it is Madhu who should tell exactly how she feels about the whole situation to RK and no one else. I hope she says something to RK and hopefully he lets her do that and not go on another accusing spree.

Did not mean to offend you...I believe that two wrongs do not make a right...Was RK unfair and abusive? Yes he was...Did the goods he did for Maliks balance the wrong he did Madhu? Nope...
Does he deserve punishment for his actions?...yes and he is already in his personal hell much to my pleasure
However his cruelty does not give Madhu a free pass? or rather let us say CVs have not established Madhu's character in a way that even explains RK's behaviour as a reason for her behaviour unlike in case of RK where his past seems to explain and to some extent justify his behaviour (not that I am condoning it)
When I see Madhu (disconnected from RK)- I see a married woman who is estranged from her powerful husband and loves him like crazy but is determined to lie to herself. She has taken immense liking to a gangster's handicapped son and has taken the role of his mother without any "by your leave". Her love for that boy surpasses any level of common sense or love for any of her family members...she even justifies/ignores his father's mutiple illegal activities and blood on his hand. Does any of this make any sense to you?
Whatever the intentions...there are somethings that can be misinterpreted very easily...offering Sultan hand was one of those actions. What you are saying is not important...what others are hearing is?
It took something as natural and simple as laughter from Draupadi to end in war of Mahabharata and suffering of Pandavas
Let me run one possible future scenario for you- Sultan seems to have misinterpreted Madhu's interest in him (so much for Madhu's platonic friendly intention and might end up wanting her at some point. RK is on a crazed possessive streak not willing to let go. Where do you think Madhu will stand when these two crazy powerful dudes fight for her till end...She will not be allowed to choose a third person...what will be her future...who should she choose?...the bloody gangster or abusive ex husband. she had a hard enough time dealing and keeping away from one person...now she brings an another crazy person in the mix who actually ups the craziness of all other folks too along with adding his personality...making entire thing crazy explosive.

i have an almost sure feeling that RK's dream will come true...(that he sees sultan move forward..he warns him but sultan attacks him n madhu yells RK) and all dreams till now have been true actually...
