This chapter was interesting. I figured that Shyam jilted her because of something like a disability, but I never thought of such a big twist!!
Okay, starting off with the few paragraphs on Arnav. Why he needs to prove himself. His emotions. How nobody really knows him and he wants it that way, but inside in a part he doesn't know, there is a deep yearning to love and love deeply. Be there for someone and allow them to be there for him.
He doesn't want much of material things, but he understands their power, courtesy of his mother. So, he makes money. More than enough of it. He never wants to be vulnerable in front of anyone and the first step towards that is to not let anyone know who you are or what you feel.
He feels inadequate, but he convinces himself that he is not as he is successful businessman who speaks the language of power. As Arnav said on the show, he understands the language of money and deals, not of emotions. Not because he doesn't want to, but because he is not able to bring himself to trust anybody that much.
I think I have said this before, your Arnav in MKM II reminds me of Khushi in MKM I. The yearning for all those things that happens in a normal household, that he has never experienced.
His mother has done quite a number on him as he believes that Khushi is also manipulative and seeks to free people from her clutches.
I like how he likes Buaji, for who she is. The Spanish inquisition aside, I think she is more of a mother to him than Sumer's wife ever was.
Love how Khushi understood that Arnav was pissed and said that his father called only after trying his number. She understands how possessive Arnav is of his father even if he doesn't allow himself to acknowledge it.
Khushi has to keep people happy. Remove their sorrow. So, she apologizes for Arnav being asked to marry her.
Arnav of course, lashes out!! The line about her being sure of Sumer's love for her.. Is there a twist in that line?
Khushi's reply was below the belt. Although she was provoked, but still..
Arnav was no less.
Love how he stopped her fall, despite not liking her. Your Arnav is a man of principles. I like it..
Khushi limps. That was a huge twist.
I now get the Ladoo deal. Why everyone is extra attentive.
