Times Music has released Ishwar Allah Tere Naam, a 2-CD compilation on Mahatma Gandhi that contains his favourite bhajans, extracts from his prayer meeting discourses, quotations and archival photographs. The music has been composed, arranged and conducted by Ashit Desai and the album is produced by the Mahatma Gandhi Foundation.
There is an exclusive booklet enclosed of the Mahatma's quotes and photographs. The singers include Ashit and Hema Desai, Karsan Sargathiya, Jagjit Singh, Shankar Mahadevan, Shubha Mudgal, Pandit Ajoy Chakravorty, Suresh Wadkar, Hema Desai, Kavita Subramaniam, The Arvada Center Chorale and The Colorado Symphony, Denver, USA and Alap Desai. The premium set is priced at Rs 390.

Saregama Pvt. Ltd has issued a 4-volume pack, The End Of An Era, on Ustad Bismillah Khan. The Commemorative Edition has a hand-picked collection of his masterpieces, including Vasant Desai's compositions in Goonj Uthi Shehnai for which the Ustad played the shehnai in 'Tere sur aur mere geet...', 'Jeevan mein piya tera saath rahe...' and 'Dil ka khilona haaye toot gaya...', the title-track and two instrumental jugalbandis in Raag Kedar with Ustad Abdul Halim Jaffer Khan. The other tracks include a light dhun, jugalbandis with Prof. V.C.Jog and Ustad Vilayat Khan, and expositions in raags Lalit, Todi, Ahir Bhairav, Jaunpuri, Shudha Sarang, Multani, Hamsnarayani, Marubihag, Basant Bahar, Bageshri, Malkauns, Pahadi, Yaman, Basant, Chandrakauns, Bilawal, Bhairavi Thumri, Gunkali, Rageshri, Tilakkamod and Shivranjani.
