Chapter 15

Next Morning

Ruma : Sir, Mr. Kundra called to see when you are free today. He would like to stop by and discuss something important.

Mr. Avinesh: Oh really. That was fast; I didn't think he would come to me so soon. Tell him I'm free now.

Ruma: Yes Sir.

Back at RK mansion

RK: Bittuji, prepare the car; we are going to see Mr. Avinesh.

Bittuji: Why chief?

RK: Hmmm'to kick start this game.

Bittuji was confused. He didn't know what RK meant but knew it couldn't be anything good.

Bittuji got the car and drove RK to Mr. Avinesh's place.

Ruma: Welcome Mr. Kunda. Mr. Avinesh is waiting for you in the study room.

RK: Thank you.

Ruma: Right this way.

Ruma opened the door to the study room to let RK in, where Mr. Avinesh was eagerly waiting for him.

Mr. Avinesh: Thank you Ruma, you may leave us.

Ruma: Yes sir.

Mr. Avinesh: So Mr. Kundra I hear that you have something important to discuss with me.

RK: Yes. You see, upon finding out last night that my EX- BIWI will be my heroine in your film I think it would be a good idea if we were to spend more time together to work on the Hero and Heroine's chemistry.

Mr. Avinesh: More time together? Didn't you use to live together? Why would you need more time to work on your chemistry?

RK: AHHAH well obviously we are divorced, and lets just say it wasn't on good terms (devilish smile). And forget those teachers you have hired. Who better to teach her than the Superstar RK? Unless you have other ulterior motives with Miss Mallik ?

Mr. Avinesh: Mr. Kundra let me just clear the air. This film is very important to me. I would never confuse my personal matter with my business. I know that Miss. Mallik is perfect for the role, and I would do anything to see my film succeed. So how do you propose we help you develop this so called chemistry with Miss Mallik?

RK: Well obviously you are her boss, so she would have to listen to you. I have a private resort where the scenery is perfect, nothing but green mountains and trees. Very relaxing. I think it's a better place than being hundreds of miles away on some island.

Mr. Avinesh: Well Mr. Kundra if you believe this is necessary than I will also suggest to invite all the actors and actresses that are to be in my film. I mean Miss Mallik is not the only actress that you are filming with. Unless, YOU have some ulterior motive with Miss Mallik?

Mr. Avinesh is a smart man indeed. He knew that RK just wanted to find a way to be with Madhu alone. But he was not going to give him what he wanted, for Madhu was going to be his.

RK: You are right. Since my last shoot for my film ends in 2 days lets schedule this trip in 3 days. And by the way, can you call up Miss Mallik and let her know that I will be picking her up and driving her there in 3 days. I think that it would be a great opportunity for us to talk and get to know each other again. Rekindle as you might say.

Mr. Avinesh did not like this idea at all. He did not want Madhu anywhere near RK. He did not even want them to have a chance to get close to one another again. But he knew that RK had a point. He needed these two to make his film a success.

RK on the other hand was very happy. Not only will he get his biwi back, but also he had just made Mr. Avinesh personally send her back into his life. This should let Mr. Avinesh know that whatever he plans for Madhu he would still end up giving her up to RK. He enjoyed the dismayed look on Mr. Avinesh's face; it was quite easy for RK, for he knew that a man like Avinesh would always put his film first.

Mr. Avinesh: Very well I will inform Miss Mallik. I will also contact all the other actresses and actors to meet you at your resort.

RK: Okay. I will see you than.

As RK left Mr. Avinesh's place..

Mr. Avinesh: Ruma come, I need you to do something for me.

Ruma: Yes Sir. What is it?

Mr. Avinesh: You know how I didn't really want to cast Miss Katrina Sarin as the hero's ex-girlfriend because of the recent rumors of her always creating scandals with her co-stars?

Ruma: Yes.

Mr. Avinesh: Well forget about the rumors. Call up Miss Katrina Sarin and let her know that she got the part. Also inform her and the others of the trip in 3 days. I think she would be delighted to know the RK has invited her to his resort.

Ruma: Sir. Are you sure you want to deal with bad publicity if Miss Katrina were to stir up something ? I mean you haven't even started filming yet.

Mr.Avinesh: Oh Ruma. This will be a win-win situation for me. One, with more press, be it good or bad, will surely make people more anxious to see the film. And two, this could be a way for Miss Mallik to come to me. And please no need to try to talk me out of it. You should know that my film is important so don't worry, I know what I'm doing.

Ruma: Very well sir.

As Ruma walked out of the room still very worried for her friend. She was afraid that by his obsession with Miss Mallik he might begin to turn into someone that she will no longer recognize. Obsession can make a person do crazy things.

Back at the Chawl

Trishna: Thank you so much Madhu. I didn't know what to do, RK demanded the money but I had already spent it all. I'm so sorry! Because of me you had to come back.

Madhu: Its okay sis. I would do anything for you. Besides, RK no longer affects me. I'm okay.

It was easy lying to Trishna about her true feelings now. The acting lessons were now paying off, because deep inside Madhu was still battling her feelings for RK.

Suddenly Madhu's phone rings.

Madhu: Hello.

Mr. Avinesh: Miss Mallik, how are you?

Madhu: Im fine.

Mr. Avinesh: Did everything go okay last night.

Madhu: Yes.

Mr. Avinesh: Wow Miss. Mallik. I thought we were at least friends now. Couldn't I get more than one to two word answers?

Madhu: Friends don't ask for anything in return when doing favors. Anyways is there something you want to talk about?

Mr. Avinesh: Yes. In 3 days Mr. Kundra will pick you up and take you to his resort.

Madhu: WHAT??!!

Mr. Avinesh: Calm down Miss Mallik. He had suggested that all the actors and actresses in my film should meet up and get a feel for whom they will be working with. And since you are the heroine it is important that you and the hero of my film can create this intense chemistry with one another.

Madhu: Fine. But what does that have to do with him driving me.

Mr. Avinesh: Well Mr. Kundra suggested that the more time you guys spend together the better. But Miss Mallik please keep in mind that this is acting not real.

Madhu: What? Acting not real?

Mr. Avinesh: (stuttering) ahhh..nevermind. But just be ready.

Madhu: Fine.

Madhu hangs up the phone. " So pati-dev, this is your first move huh? Alright, I am game."

Superb update..so the game has begun..avinesh is a smart man😉 n it's already fun to watch him vs RK!! Now even when Madhu has stepped up to become strong n mature will only spice things up 😛.. Somehow that Katrina stirs danger to me😆..all in all it's gonna become clash of titans...
