Ashish Kaul in Sony TV's Modern Bahu

Ashish Kaul, as we reported, in on a career high. After CID and Fear Files, in the fiction sphere, the actor will be seen weaving magic in Sony Entertainment Television's upcoming show Modern Bahu (Optimystix).

The much hyped project will see Sanaya Irani back in the small screen space after Star Plus' Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon (leaving aside her brief appearance in Life OK's Welcome). We have also written about Supriya Pathak being a part of the project as Sanaya's mother-in-law.

Now, Ashish will come in as Sanaya's father, a single parent and a restaurateur.

"He will raise her daughter with dignity and modern values. The show will depict a beautiful father-daughter relationship," said a source.

"Yes, I have been approached but this is not the right time to talk about it," stated Ashish.

It's not that television world hasn't seen love stories or the Mills and Boons drama earlier; in fact such romantic tales have always scored over the regular saas-bahu drama.

Be it the love-hate tales like Kutumb, Kitni Mohabbat Hai, Kaisa Yeh Pyaar Hai or the purely love based dramas such as Geet Hui Sabse Parayi or Dil Mill Gayye, they all have left a mark in the hearts of all and people still talk of the leads' chemistry from these shows.

However, one is left all stunned wondering as to why Barun Sobti aka Arnav Singh Rayzada and Sanaya Irani aka Khushi from Star Plus' Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon have turned out to be so exceptionally well as a couple on screen. The show, which has completed more than a year now, is growing leaps and bounds. The unique love tale of the arrogant business tycoon Arnav and that of the chirpy and vivacious Khushi has won hearts across the globe. Fortunately, this is one show which has even gained popularity on international grounds.

While the makers Four Lions indeed deserve accolade for the same but one can't deny the fact that the success of IPKKND is more due to the sizzling on screen chemistry between Barun and Sanaya. People in town are in complete awe of these two as a jodi and their scenes together turn out to be a treat for all. Whether they romance or fight, there is something in their chemistry which sets it apart from all.

And guess here we know what makes them so perfect on screen. Barun Sobti says that it is majorly because of the brilliant rapport they share off screen. Both of them are extremely comfortable with each other and this is what reflects in their on screen acts too. Their compatibility plays a vital role in bringing perfection to their on screen stint.

Not only Barun, the makers too agree on the same and feel that the actors being simple and modest in approach do full justice to their respective roles. Their simplicity and dedication to work is what working fine for this TV jodi. And we hope it continues to do so.

Also, there is no direct male lead in the show. The show revolves around Sanaya only and the male lead will be more like a supporting actor!

@ Chitra thanks for the articles every now and then was superb.And off screen comfort is what makes Barun and Sanaya perfect on screen is the best.
