Just as we entered the two story Manson like house. Diksha was standing beside me, giggling at something Panchi told her. I felt left out. But more than that, I felt like returning back to the campus. Sneaking to go to a party? If the principal found out, we'd be doomed for sure. I was going to convince Diksha and Panchi to get out of here. But I didn't. They'd just call me a party spoiler and tell me to go by myself if I wanted to. As the three of us headed inside, the music blaring through the speakers seemed to get louder and louder. I was just a tad movement away from covering my ears when a guy bumped into me, spilling his drink all over my brand-new dress. I shrieked, causing a whole bunch of people to look towards my direction. I quickly waved them off, and it was only a matter of seconds before they all went back to whatever they were doing.

"Sorry," the dude mumbled, making his way through the crowd. I sighed, gripping my now wet dress. Diksha looked at me, giving me a weak smile. Panchi just faced me and laughed. That just made me angrier than I already was. Okay. I admit it. I was kind of looking forward to this party. But now, my dress is ruined. I was definitely returning to my anger-issues self again.

"Ooh, look over there," Diksha screeched, pointing her fingers towards the right end of the room. "It's the new kid." I could barely see through all the people, but when Diksha said 'new kid,' I felt angrier than ever. KD. He was here. Well, he was the only new kid, so I assumed that he was here. I turned over to Diksha, telling her I was going to go back to campus any minute now. Whether she was coming with me or not. I just wanted to get out of this hellhole. Especially since the new kid was here.

"Come on, Kiya, let's go." It was Panchi that dragged me over to where KD was. Diksha was trailing behind both of us, probably guarding the way so I wouldn't get out of here.

"KD! Hi," Diksha said, her face gleaming with excitement.

I rolled my eyes. Diksha was so enthusiastic. Seriously, why couldn't I be more like her? She got along with everyone. Didn't she get a feeling in the gut whenever she met someone? Didn't she hate anyone?

When I actually saw KD's face, I got even angrier. He was wearing a black shirt with jeans. Even though he angered me, I couldn't help but notice how hot he looked in that outfit. KD lowered his gaze at me, his eyes literally shooting daggers towards my direction. Then he turned to face Diksha.

"Hey there, beautiful," he said, giving Diksha a wink. I felt myself burning with anger. I was right here, and he was flirting with my friend? Who does this guy think he is? I looked at him, but instantly looked away when Diksha turned to face me. I caught him peeking glances at me every once in a while. But when I turned to face him, he instantly gazed away. From the corner of my eye, I saw Diksha blush. Her cheeks turned a light shade of red and pink. I couldn't believe it. How could KD have that effect on Diksha? I know, I know. Diksha liked attention from guys. But Diksha never blushed before. Suddenly I regretted calling KD hot. It was partly because he was a jerk but also because Diksha made it obvious that she liked him. " Diksha, Panchi, I'm going to get a drink. Coming with me?" Diksha shook her head sideways. Panchi was already off somewhere to even acknowledge my offer. It made me kind of glad. I wanted to be alone right now. Mostly because Diksha was with KD. I really didn't want to interfere. It wouldn't turn out well. And I definitely didn't want to be with KD. He was in every single one of my classes, and I had to partner with him for 3 weeks. Gosh, maybe suicide would be the solution to this problem. What's somebody like you, doing in a place like this?

Did you come alone, or did you bring all your friends? a drunk guy asked me. The way he was looking scared me so I raced back to where Diksha was earlier. The mystery guy was still staring at me. My body heated up in tension. I was a sucker for meeting new people; especially if they were some drunken creep who stared at you during a party with no adult supervision. I couldn't find Diksha. So I decided to search for Panchi. After searching for a few five minutes, I spotted Diksha with KD. They were both sitting near the bar area, taking shots one after another. Diksha was laughing hysterically at something KD was saying. I walked towards their direction, gritting my teeth in the progress. When I finally reached, they both turned their head towards my direction.

"Sorry," I muttered, feeling utterly bad for interrupting them. "But I just got a little bored."

"It's okay," Diksha said, still laughing. KD was silent. I decided to take a seat next to Diksha. The only reason awkwardness filled the air was because of me. But I didn't want to wander off by myself happen. Something bad could happen, or worse, I could do something I'll regret later on.

"Oh, hey Parag..." KD's deep, husky voice caused me to snap out of my thoughts. I looked up at who he was talking to. I let out a gasp as I quickly realized who he was. He was the same drunk guy who was eyeing me earlier.

" Diksha, meet Parag Desai, my brother. He's 17, and a senior. He just goes to another school." KD turned to face me. When he spoke up, his voice came out dark and shallow.

"This is Parag. Parag this is -"

KD's voice was cut off by Parag's. My jaw was still hanging open. I was shocked.Parag? Parag Desai? "Yeah, I know," Parag said. "Her name is Kiya Gujral. We're very familiar with each other. Right..Kiya?" My jaw was still hanging open. No wonder he looked so familiar... "Parag." I literally sneered out his name. What was he doing here? Didn't he say he had to go to Delhi when he left the last time? Now he's back, and this time, he's with his brother. And his brother just seems to be my project partner. Diksha must've noticed who Parag was because she immediately looked at me and gulped. Then she turned to face KD who was staring at the three of us, probably wondering what the heck was going on.

"Yeah, it's me," he said, nodding in amusement. "What are you doing -" KD quickly cut me off. As the words escaped KD's lips, I wondered if I should tell him the truth or just lie. "You guys know each other?" "Yeah, we used to be really good friends," Liam said, carefully eyeing me. "Right, Kiya?" I felt the sudden urge to yell at him for calling that. But that'd be just plain stupid, and weird. Snapping back to reality, I realized that KD was staring at me, probably waiting for an answer. It was pretty funny. I had dated Parag for 2 whole years, and KD never knew. Heck, I never knew about KD. But that was before. Now everything's changed. Parag was the one who decided to cheat on me and break my heart. Now, I'm over him. Like I said before, things have changed. "Yeah," I mumbled, shuffling my feet uncomfortably. Diksha was still sitting beside me. She was speechless. From her facial expression, I knew that she was also shocked. I mean, wouldn't you be shocked if your bestfriend's ex-boyfriend, who apparently cheated on her, turned out to be your crush's brother? (That was just a wild guess. I think Diksha likes KD) "Uh, Parag Desai," DIksha said slowly, using Parag's full name. Parag hated it when people called him that. Being one of my bestfriends, I assumed that Diksha did it to provoke him. There was a frown plastered on my face, but inside, I felt like laughing hard. I mean, what were the chances of me ever seeing Parag again? Next to none. I thought I'd never see him again. An event like that would probably never happen. But, it still did occur. And now, I have to stop being scared. I need to face him.

"You never told us you had such a hot brother'" Parag chuckled, but KD still had his eyes on me. Before Diksha or Parag could say anything else, KD grabbed my hand and started walking. I had no idea where. His grip was tight. It hurt. I wanted to say something sarcastic and rude but I didn't. It was mostly because KD already looked pissed. Making his way past the crowd, KD lead me towards exit. He pulled me outside, leading me towards the backyard. It was isolated and quite here and it freaked me out.

"What happened between you and Parag?" KD looked really mad, but there was a hint of worry on his eyes too. He talked as if Parag was hiding something from me. "Whoa, KD, why should I tell you? That's none of your business."

"Please, Kiya, you need to tell me!" His grip on my hand loosened a bit, but he was still holding me. I quickly yanked my arms away. What right did he have to touch me? Yeah, that's right, none!

"Come on chicklet, I'll do anything you want me to. You want me to leave you alone? That's fine! You just need to tell me how far you guys went physically." I stared at KD. Never have I thought of this arrogant, jerk of a dude to be this desperate. In fact, even if he was desperate, I'd never thought he'd be that way with me.

"I lost my virginity to him'" KD's jaw dropped open. The look on his face was priceless. He looked like he was about to tell me something, but quickly debated against it. I seriously couldn't take it anymore. I burst out laughing. "I was only joking," I said, choking back more laughter. I suddenly looked up, feeling warmth on my face. KD's face was only inches away from mine. My eyes quickly widened. Being this close with the guy you hated wasn't appropriate; especially if they were your ex-boyfriend's brother. I closed my eyes, thinking he was going to kiss me. But he didn't.

"I'm not planning on kissing you, if that's what you're wondering," KD announced, his voice coming out a bit harsh. "I would never even think about that. But if you ever did anything with Parag then you made the biggest mistake of your life. He was literally spitting the words at me. After saying that, KD left. How was that possible? Just a minute earlier he was being a bit nice. How could he be mean just like that? As KD walked away, I saw Panchi walking towards me with a big grin. "So," she sang, beaming with happiness. "Did I miss anything?"
