And I'll get straight to the point. Why I've made this topic is actually quite simple: I was extremely happy when Sharon returned, and although the track given to her and Swayam looked to me like it could potentially slip into something very cliched, I was also excited for it because I saw in it just as much potential to be quite phenomenal, with SwaRon's own touch to it like so many earlier tracks. Initially I thought it started off pretty well, and I LOVED the way the Yaadein sequence was woven into it in a way that showed us Sharon's turmoil centering around the two things that matter the most to her, and that she isn't about to lose but for all intents and purposes has already lost, from where she's looking: Dance and Swayam. After that, I was hoping we'd get to see more of that turmoil in her, because losing these two things is enough to break the kind of character she is and has always been. Tonight, I was really happy that we were given a little more of a look beneath her put-on calm surface than just the few sad fleeting-second-moments of her sadness we've seen recently...I actually really liked Vrushika's expressions too, in that moment when Sharon is asked by Taani whether she misses dance or not. Nicely done! 👍🏼
The track ahead looks really interesting to me, and this is one of the main reasons why: as a viewer, I really want to see what Sharon is thinking and feeling, what's happening to her is something so devastating that I really would want to see what it's making her go through inside her own head, in her own space where she doesn't have to put up an act of normalcy because people are watching...and I mean this not only about her relationship with Dance but also about her almost-relationship with Swayam that evidently really mattered to her in a way even we as viewers never saw before. Now that she's going to be pulled into the centre of a DANCE team that she cannot be part of, and forced to be around SWAYAM whom she wants in her life but feels obligated to push away, I really hope we'll get to see what she's going through with a little more depth and clarity. Besides, at this point people really need to connect with Sharon a bit more than usual, and this could be one really good way of facilitating that...they need to sympathise with her, and not just be annoyed by something they can't understand beyond a point.
