The manner in which the prologue was coursed out was fabulous………..it seemed to flow in a natural manner starting off with a lively description of a little girl rushing back home with her mind occupied with the kheer awaiting to slip through her throat down straight into her stomach finally gracing her face with a satisfied smile; stopped by a soldier who was worried that the child might get hurt in the chaos prevalent there; upset with the horse for the delay it brought up in her way & sneaking under the cart just to bump into her father

• The name Nidhant was a surprise…………..was wondering how & when Arnav will come into the picture of Khushi's life since her marriage has been fixed with Nidhant………….then came the shock of the death of the Guptas

• Khushi accepting the little boy of her age as a friend immediately with whom she shares her playthings, listening amused to the adventurous tales narrated & fear surging up in Khushi's heart on the thought of having to leave her parents were framed in a realistic manner

• "You and what army, Chote? We have no one here. And where will you go? To those north reaches your father left you?"……………. There is nothing there but sand and death."

Arnav standing on the sands of which he is the king, like a stranger instead, due to the shameless deeds of his father; Arnav not wanting to be addressed as 'Rajkumar' until he wins his rightful position; staying firm in his decision to stay back & fight for his rights despite of his Grandma's opposition & finally his Nani backing him up followed by the loyal Mathur was constructed in an admirable way

• How could he describe how much that one word in the letter pulled at his heartstrings? Home..

…………… he'd been unable to sleep, his mind embroiled with the letter. What could possibly be so urgent? Had his father finally come to his senses, he wondered?

Arnav's longing on reading the word 'home' was well-written expressing the pain of staying far away from the place one belongs to

I already know I am going to love this FF. Loved everything about it. The intro of Kushi. We can tell she is an imp. Hopefully, her spirit will not have been broken by the death of her parents, the way Arnav's has. The intro and more of Arnav. (Hope to learn more of Kushi.) His father's betrayal to not only his mother, but himself, too. But perhaps the father realized and the will is a forgery? (Hey, if it could happen in Europe...!) Chapter 1 is ten years later, that means they are both adults, or at least he is. She's eighteen. And probably a beauty. I cannot wait for their first meeting. Her fiance? Umm...
