Fantastic update 👏
The dark shadow of guilt & pain clouding Arnav's face & Khushi unable to trace the meaning behind it was portrayed brilliantly
The pain in Arnav's voice when he uttered the truth that he was the reason for the death of her best friend was so realistic & it also shows how guilt was & is engulfing him for having been the cause of Prashant's death
Fate couldn't be more horrible for Khushi. Her best friend was killed by the man whom she loves. The man whom she considers to ease her pain through his love is the same man who was responsible for her tragic past
Fate has also played its cruel game in Arnav's life by snatching away his chance of explaining the cause for that fateful incident. At times even unintentional mistakes committed by a person places him in such a position where guilt literally kills him every single second of his life, especially when he wants & attempts to make things better for the sufferer and even more when he nears that person & sees tears in those painful eyes which has been deprived of joy due to his one mistake which he can never undo…...….so was Arnav's state & this was reflected beautifully & delicately through words
Khushi not only talking about her loss but rebuking Arnav for the loss he has caused to Prashant's family shows her genuine concern for them
Suraj is a heartless man who stamps his sister as a sign of bad luck & tries to corner her with obstacles & troubles inspite of knowing her tragic past. He wanting to throw her & Beeji out of the house has earned my hatred more for him
Though Khushi was broken due to Suraj's sudden decision but she standing up for her when Suraj spoke ill of her character proves what a determined lady Khushi is
Quoted the lines that were strikingly awesome :
Waiting to see if Arnav gets a chance to explain his mistake & make things better for Khushi & Prashant's family
~Part 8~
"What?" She looked at him in pure disbelief. Despite the fact that she held him responsible for Prashant's death, she had a strange trust on this person that he couldn't throw her out of her home.
"They will leave this place right now." Arnav smiled slyly surprising Suraj.
"Yeah Mr Suraj, you bought their apartment but.. But, let me remind you something." He paused and looked at Suraj.
"Have you checked your company's profile recently?"
"What?" Suraj gasped.
"Yeah, because RI has bought 60 percent shares of your company and your little brother was more than happy to sell his shares too." Arnav's words were enough to make Suraj realize his situation. Suraj face grew pale as he realized the situation he was in. Payal looked hopefully at Arnav while beeje was a silent spectator of situation.
"So they leave the house and your position in your own company would be nothing." Arnav's voice was now grave but and also threatening.
"Stop it, I said, stop it," Khushi yelled.
Arnav didn't remove his gaze from Suraj and Suraj couldn't take it anymore. He left the papers and made his way out.
Khushi threw the papers and went inside her room. Arnav kept standing there and then followed her.
"I told you before. I told you that I don't need any help. Do you think that by throwing money and helping us, you would get rid of your guilt?" She looked at him with eyes filled with rage.
"What you have done, cannot be amended. You can't buy us. You can't replace Prashant's existence by your money. Understand. Do you understand?" She pointed her finger at him. But it didn't affect him. He took a deep breath, before speaking.
"I know you never needed any help. It was always me who needed it." Arnav told her in a broken voice.
"It was always I. It was always I," He growled in pain.
"You wished that the person who had killed Prashant should know how precious a human life is. This is what you wanted?" He uttered in frustration.
"Then let me tell you that I know it. I know it because I can't sleep each night and each day I wish that day would not have come in my life.
You wished that the person, who had killed Prashant, should know how much a life mattered?
I know it, because I know how much I wished each day, that I should have died rather than taking a human life. I still wish that each day."
He pressed his hand on his forehead
"You wish that I could experience the pain I put you through. Dammit! There is not even a single day when I have not gone through that pain. Whenever I see sorrow, deep into your eyes and realize that I am the sole reason for your pain, this wretched feeling numb my whole existence with sheer pain. Yes pain! It is a part of me since that day. Can't you see it?" He questioned her but she stood still.
"Remorse is what I have got. I repent each day, for something that was neither in my control. You wanted that the person who has killed him should suffer each moment of his life.
Well, I am suffering each and every moment of my life. I am suffering every single second of it and have no other to blame it but myself."
He paused to control his breathing and then continued.
"I never knew that you were Khushi, the day I saw you for the first time. I never knew you were Prashant's fiance." His voice was filled with pain.
"I never knew it but there was something in your eyes and that was a familiar pain. That feeling of pain somehow bonded us into something strong and powerful. I never knew that I was the reason for that pain in that time. I wanted to soothe that pain the moment I saw you, but I never knew that I am the cause at first place.
I came to know when you came to the party and the moment I saw your pain filled eyes again, I was buried deeper into that remorse
Since that day, I am repenting more and more. Whatever I do no matter where I go. I can never get rid of you." He hesitated a little before continuing.
"I Love you, you touched my soul. I know, I don't have any right but still I can't abstain myself from feeling for you.
Do you think there can be any bigger punishment than this? Merely knowing that the person I love the most, is in pain and that too because of me. Believe me nothing can be worse than that.
I knew that a simple cheque couldn't compensate for a human life but I wanted to do what I could. It was not sympathy it was not a way to get rid of my guilt. I didn't had the courage to face his family, neither I was in the condition because I was in coma, for few months, after that accident.
I knew you wouldn't take help, so I deliberately came here arranged the party so that I could do what I can, without letting his family know.
It was not that you I was helping. I was helping my own self so that maybe I could sleep, knowing that at least his family is safe.
I was doing it for myself."
She just stood there with the blank expressions.
"I was doing it for the person I loved most and that was you. You didn't need that help but I was in need of it. To keep you safe from all the problems was something that was my own benefit, necessity to breathe easily.
It was an accident. My car brakes were failed. It was not my negligence. It was an accident but I am still at fault because it was me who was driving it."
In her anger she didn't realize that he had been suffering too. It was an accident, not entirely his fault but still he repented every part of it. He knew she won't forgive him for this. She didn't want him near her and going against her wish was something that was not acceptable for him.
"I know that my presence is unacceptable in your life. I won't impose myself on you. I will go from your life, as if I never existed. You would never see me again." He uttered those words but he would have preferred to die rather than this punishment. But maybe this was the biggest punishment chosen by fate.
"I have something and I think I have no right over it now."
He took her diary out handed it to her. She took it instantly and turned her back towards him.
She didn't want to see him go. She knew it would make her weak. She opened her diary to divert her attention and her eyes fell on something.
Pain I gave you will never fade away
I will abide by what you anticipate
Even my shadow will leave your way
Forgiveness is what I shall always await
