Everyone was enjoying their dinner...included Arnav...Nani was talking to Anjali while eating...Arnav and Akash were silent eater...Manoroma was busy with her husband in some social gossip...then when she turned to Anjali...
Manoroma: are Anjali...when is Shyam babua coming??
"Your Shyam babua is here..." Anjali was about to answer...when a voice stopped her...and she turned to the source...
Anjali: Shyma ji..!! (with a wide smile on her face...she jumped from the chair..and went to her husband for a bear hug..)
Everyone moved to the entrance leaving their food...to welcome their one and only son-in-law...Shyam took blessing from elders...and hugges Arnav and Akash...
Akash: thanx Jiju...thanx for coming early...
Shyam: why won't I?? Can't leave you guys alone in a mess... (with a confident smile)
Arnav looked at both with a confused look..
Arnav: did I miss something??(changing his eye direction from Akash to Shyam and vice verse)
Akash: I called him bhai...for...you know...

Anjali: enough of your talks...now lets go for the dinner...you must be hungry...(interrupted them...to take her husband with her...)
Shyam just nodded...and left to freshen up...

After the dinner Shyam, Arnav and Akash sat in the study...cozily on their seats...Arnav working on laptop...Akash looking at some files...and Shyam looking at files of Singhanias prepared by Akash...
Shyam: its quit complicated to understand...Karan Singhania is not trying to tamper any kind of clause or conditions of the deal...and moreover...he is being friendly with you...(moving his eyes from the file he was going through...)
Arnav: especially with Khush...(whispered gritted his teeth)
Shyam and Akash noticed that...and exchanged a silent naughty smile...
Shyam: anyways...I need to study more...Akash can I borrow the file for one day...I need to do some background check...I know you have done that already..but..
Akash: of course Jiju...you do what you think is necessary...we need to get rid of this problem...
Arnav: yeah...only 2 days left for the show...
Shyam: ok then boys...i'll take your leave...good night..
Arnav: good night...and yeah...don't sleep light... (winked at Shyam)
Akash laughed out loud...Shyam looked at him...and then Arnav...with straight naughty face...

Arnav: yeah...i know...Di is waiting...(with his signature smirk..as he knew he won this teasing competition...)
Shyam left with a smile...Akash and Arnav again got engrossed in their work...

Khushi went to the garden of their house...when her dad called her there...stating that he wanted to discuss something very serious...she saw her dad sitting on the bench in the corner of the graden...looking at the sky...she went to him...sat beside him...taking his hand in her...and leand her head on her dad's shoulder...
"What happened Dad??" Khushi asked with concerned voice...
Shashi looking at the sky...
Shashi: nothing doll...i was just thinking...how you have grown up so much..!!
Khushi looked at him quizically...
Khushi: dad...
Shashi: you rmember...for the 1st time you had crush on Salman Khan...and you cried hard...when you learned that he was dating Aishwaria...(chuckling at his daughter...)
Khushi: Dad...(pouting her lips..) I remember...
Shashi: hmm...and do you remember how you didn't share with anyone about the reason of your crying...just because people will make fun of you...but me...
Khushi: yes Dad...you are my best buddy...(hugging him from side..) I can never hide anything from you...
Shashi: beta...today...now I want you to trust your this best buddy...and share something with me...
Khushi looked at him...confused...she looked in his eyes...which were seeking for trust from his daughter...which were kind of helpless...which were little bit sad...but she didn't know why...
Khushi: tell me Dad...anything you wanna know...
Shashi: Do you like Karan? look..don't get me wrong...I am aged now...and its high time I think about my daughters...about their life...their settlement...Payal has Akash...I am not worried about her..but you...Khushi..you are little princess...may be a very successful businessman for the world...but still..
Khushi: Dad...don't worry...I am fine...don't think about me so much...you know...I can never think of letting you down...
Shashi: No dear...its not about letting me down...its about your life...answer me my 1st question..
Khushi looked at him...her eyes were stating the truth that she doesn't like that Karan...and she also made her word with the same feelings..

Arnav: I don't know...I..(just stopped in short of words..)
Akash: At least we need to know..what he is upto...
Arnav: i know Akash...and thats what I am trying to figure out...(he replied thoughtfully...)
Arnav leaned to his table and looked at the laptop...trying to figure out from the documents in front of him on the screen...
Akash: Have you talked to Khushi??
Arnav: No...I can't talk to her about this...not untill we are sure about it...(not moving his eyes from the screen..)
Akash: Hmm...and that Natasha...
Arnav: Yeah...I have kept her for the show...just to keep eye on her...and Khushi is not happy with this..
Akash: I guess..she is feeling jealous... (winked at Arnav)
Arnav looked at him with wide eyes...without saying anything...
Arnav: what??!!
Akash: bhai...in last few days...I have observed her...I know...you feel something for her...you told me that day...
Arnav: Akash woh...(he looked down...trying not to look at him..searching for some words to defend...but he failed..)
Akash: relax bhai...the way you take care of her...giving your importances...and moreover...the way you are saving her from that Karan...its making her happy...
Arnav: wh..how do you know??
Akash: Payal was telling me...that...Khushi seems to be very happy these days...she mentioned to payal that she was enjoying your company a lot...when Payal inquired her trickily...
Arnav nodded...a small smile appeared on his face...thinking of his possessiveness...and how Khushi is responding to his behavior...
Akash: and she knows very well that Natasha is your past...and may be thats why...she is being protective towards you...
Arnav: I don't know how to feel about it...but I love being with her...thats true...
Akash: and she reciprocate it...thats also a true...
**Here comes another update...well...let me clarify some points before you ask...
1. they are still not in love...
2. Shyam is a good guy...
3. Shashi will not gonna force Khushi at all...
