Hola! Another One-Shot. Wow, I'm on Fire eh? Please read like and comment Loves- because this one is a beautiful song!
She closed her eyes, leaning her head against the cool glass of the French Doors. The turbulent winds outside, mirroring the storm inside her heart. He didn't believe her.
Sawan beeto jaye piharwa
Sawan beeto jaye piharwa
The tears she had been holding onto for the whole day, finally leaked out. The Dam had broken, and before long, she had dissolved into heart-wrenching sobs. He didn't believe her.
Man mera ghabraye
Man mera ghabraye
And now, he had gone away. What was she to do? How could she convince him about the truth, if he wasn't even here? How was she supposed to soothe her aching, mourning heart- if she couldn't look into those beautiful eyes? Those eyes that had haunted her dreams, had possessed her whole being for so long- that now she felt bereft without them?
Aiso gaye pardes piya tum
Aiso gaye pardes piya tum
It had hardly been half a day since he had left her standing at the Airport, but then, why did it feel like her life force had been wrenched away from her? Why did it feel like... like she hadn't set her eyes on him in aeons?
Chein humein nahi aaye
Chein humein nahi aaye
She clutched at her heart. Her heart, her soul calling out to him. Why did it feel like he had left her? Why did she feel so... morose, so incredibly sad? She was known for her ability to get up and move on with her life even in the direst of circumstances. She had, after all, endured the loss of her parents... then why did she feel that she wouldn't be capable of going on if she lost him?
Mora saiyaan mose bole na
Mora saiyaan mose bole na
She remembered how she had felt at the Airport... when he had gone in- without even sparing her one last glance. That feeling of incredible loneliness... that feeling of being stranded at sea... alone. She closed her eyes again. Trying to fight against the rising pain.
Mein laakh jatan kar haari
laakh jatan kar haar rahi
Mora sayiyan mose bole na
What hadn't she done, to convince him of her innocence? She thought, with sudden Anger coursing through her. Why couldn't he, for once, just keep his prejudices aside and just hear her out? How could he do this to her? How could he even think this of her? Didn't he know her?
Tu jo nahi to aise piya hum
Tu jo nahi to aise piya hum
Jaise soona aangana
Jaise soona aangana
Nain tehari raah ne harein
Nain tehari raah ne harein
Nainan ko tarsao na
Nainan ko tarsao na
Mora saiyaan mose bole na
Well, if he didn't want to believe her- then that was his choice, she thought, angrily. She didn't care. He was nothing to her. No one important- no one of consequence in her life. He would be rid of her in six months' time, anyways. She folded her arms across her chest and huffed, averting her eyes from the poolside, where his plants stood.
But then... why did the empty Recliner draw her eyes? Why did her heart ache every time she realized that he wouldn't stride into the room and call out to her? Why did her gut clench in excitement, every time the doorbell rang? Why did her throat catch every time she realized that it wasn't him who was at the door?
Why did her stupid heart not understand that he was not coming home? Why did her eyes still crave to see him arrogantly walking about, talking on his Bluetooth? Why did she, she wondered angrily, want him to be here? Why did she want him to be in the house, when she had convinced herself a thousand times over that she couldn't stand him?
Pyaar tumhe kitna karte hein
Pyaar tumhe kitna karte hein
Tum ye samajh nahi paoge
Tum ye samajh nahi paoge
Jab hum na honge to piharwa
Jab hum na honge to piharwa
Bolo kya tab aoge
Bolo kya tab aoge
More saiyaan mose bole na
Why didn't he understand? She stood up, pacing. Agitated. He called himself a shrewd businessman, didn't he? Then, couldn't he understand such a simple thing? She was his. His, from the time he'd gifted those pigeons to that small girl at the temple. His, from the time he had apologized for being callous about her Parents' death. His, from the time he had nursed her back to health in that roadside Dhaba near Nainital. His, from the time he had adorned her ankle with her Mother's anklet... She had been his, all along.
What would she have to do? Go away? Disappear? What? Would he then understand her love for him? Would he even think of her, once she was gone? She looked out into the rain now hammering against the floor of their poolside. Her tears falling just as relentlessly. Why wouldn't he come back to her? Couldn't he hear her breaking heart? Couldn't he hear her soul call out to him? Why was he torturing her so?
And she slid to the floor again, her head laid against the glass doors, as she whispered into the night- hoping against hope, that her Love would listen to her...
