"Arnav doesn't love me Khushi, he just want my body, not just me …. Any girl could be his prey" These were the words of Tani when Khushi went to meet her after Arnav divorced her, although she was her friend but still she never believed Arnav to be like what Taani told her and time proves it well when she heard news of Taani's engagement with her colleague, but right now sitting with Arnav she was doubting him and his words for the first time.

He confessed his feelings only so that he could get her and she spoke it aloud;

"You're lying….." His face turned dark in a second

"What?" He was taken aback

"Yes, you were saying it because ……" She lowered her gaze, "because of ….. your need"

Shocked, Arnav quietly pulled away from her and without explaining or asking her anything, he moved towards the recliner

For a moment Khushi felt bad for her words but then she thought herself to be right, sliding in the bed she went to sleep unaware that her words were pricking his heart into million pieces

Next morning when khushi wake up she founds the room empty. Getting up she knocked the bathroom door but getting no answer, when she moved the handle it opened,

"Maybe he has some urgent work and he left early" She told herself and went for the shower

Next few days were passed like this. Arnav left for the office before she wake up and came back usually after midnights. She was now getting worried, for few days she thought he has work pressure. She decided to confront him today but again he was late and she fell asleep.

Her sleep broken, when he entered into the room, but pretended to asleep, instead of sleeping he moved out to the pool side. Khushi waited for him to come in for almost three hours, it was 5:00 in the morning still he did not come. Getting worried when she went to the pool side she found him sleeping there on one of the rest chairs. Something pinched her seeing him like this. As she saw him stir from the sleep she quickly moved to the bed and continue the pretence to asleep when he came in the room. She could feel him moving around the room and almost after half an hour, he left the room.

Khushi opened her eyes and sat in the bed. Now she came to know that he was ignoring her but why! What she has done which made him do this? Her eyes filled with tears when she realized his ignorance and then suddenly her own words reverberated in her head;

"You were saying it because ……because of ….. your need" She remembered him going quiet when she said it, so was she hurt him unintentionally?

Wiping her tears she took her phone and called him

"Your Need" These words were hammering his head since last four days. She mistook his pure feelings as his desire for her. Khushi was the first woman in his life who taught him the real meaning of love. It was not that he was living the saint's life, he has been in relation with many girls, he would not deny that he continued his relation with few girls even after he was married to Taani but when Khushi entered in his life, not for once he thought of going to any other woman.

She was judging his feelings on the fact that he divorced Taani and he's heard the reason from many as Taani spoke it that he never cared about her feeling, he just wanted one thing from her but this was not true. If he was not fully honest to Taani in the relationship, at least he always tries to give her the time of her share or everything which she wants but the true fact is that She was dishonest with him. Arnav had seen her with her colleague in a proximity which he thought she only shared with him.

He could never forget the day, he right away without any second thought divorced her. Yes, he was upset like every normal person. He lost his trust in the creature called woman and decided not to marry again but it was after six months when Shashi despite knowing about his divorce asked him to marry Khushi. He could not deny. On their wedding night he has thought that he will divorce Khushi and they will go their own separate ways but for the first time someone's tears made him change his decision and then every passing day he realized that he was attracting to Khushi.

It was during his London trip he realized that he started falling for Khushi, the girl whom he has always seen as a friend of his ex wife and daughter of his business partner, he fall in love with her, but everything went wrong. She thinks that he was doing it just for his physical need.

He closed his eyes in frustration as he parked the car to the side of the road.

He opened his eyes at the beep of his phone. Who could call him early morning. As he peeked at screen, a painful sigh released his mouth

Closing his eyes he has to muster up all his strength just to press one red button of the phone

"Don't ever get angry with me" Her voice echoed in his head;

"I am sorry Khushi" He leaned on the steering and cried like as baby

Khushi glared at the phone surprised! He cut the call, she was right he was ignoring her but why! If he has any problem with her they could discuss but he was not ready to talk to her. She has to find some other way.

Khushi went to meet her father. Adeep was with her. In evening when they were coming back, Adeep asked her to have ice cream so they went to the restaurant. They were waiting for their order when suddenly hearing a familiar voice Khushi turned her face

"The three moths I spent with Arnav was a torture for me, but finally our plan worked and we get the money for your business"

It was Taani and with her was the man whom she married one month back. Khushi could not believe her ears, the girl whom she always consider as her second sister and what she thought her to be a good person

"Adeep, Let's go from here" Turning back she hold Adeep's hand and dragged him out of the restaurant ignoring his questioning, she get the ice cream packed and they came home

Like previous night Arnav came back late night but he was surprised not finding Khushi anywhere in the room. Moving towards the French window he saw her sitting near the pool dipping her feet in the water. Sliding the door open he moved out, it was then she turned her face to look at him but for a moment, she turned back her face.

By only one glimpse he knew she was crying, Guilt engulfed him as her voice resonated in his head

"Don't ever get angry with me"

"Khushi" He called her, in a moment she got up and almost threw herself on him, pulling him close she sobbed against his chest.

He worriedly enclosed her in his embrace

"I ….. am ….. sorry" She completed in between her sobs

"What happened? Why are you saying sorry?" Not understanding it he parted her from himself but her crying didn't stop

"I …. I ……" She was not getting the words to explain what she has witnessed today

"I ….. think wro …. wrong about ….. you" She sobbed again placing her head on his chest, this time tightly gripping his collar

"It's ok Khu ….." He stopped as he felt her lips pressed against his shirt,

He looked down at her as she made her way upwards to his neck; he stepped back as an attempt to stop her

"What's wrong Khushi?" it is then she realized what she was doing; embarrassed, she pulled back from him, he was about to turn when holding her wrist Arnav stopped her

"I am asking something" His grip tightened and she could feel the slight anger in his voice, she knew he will not leave her until he get an answer

"I … I was upset, you were ignoring me so …. I ….." She has to say something

"Is this the only thing bothering you?" He questioned again

"Ye … Yes" She gulped before replying

" I … I am sorry I was busy" It was a lie, both knew but they didn't dig deep now; They were on talking terms now it was more than enough for them

"Well, tomorrow we're going for the dinner, you, me and Adeep" Lightly stroking her nose, he smiled and Khushi too after all these days rubbing her nose smiled back
