The next morning Dev got dressed to go to the office he came down and was lost in Radhika's thought he was getting the milk out from the fridge and poured it in his coffee but it over floated
"Chachu!!" Ariya voice distracted him
He realised his coffee over spilling "Oh Shh.."he paused stopping himself from swearing
"Hmm Looks like Devar is lost in someone's thoughts Mrinalini teased cleaning the counter
"Sorry Babhi ..I didn't mean too .."
"Its ok Dev ..but you have to tell me who is the person who is making you act in such way ?"
Dev had a slight blush "You remember the girl I talked to you about "
"sarah?"
"no "
"Lisa?"
"No babhi ..the girl I told you I saw in India .."
"oh her! Don't tell me she lives around here?"
"yes she does , I bought her painting "Dev said with a beaming smile
"wow! Someone to make such wonderful art should be very beautiful .."
"Yes she is .."Dev said lost in his world again ..
"Mama ..who's beautiful ?" Ariya asked putting on her school bag ..
"Ariya your starting to ask lots of questions " Mrinalini said nuzzling her daughters cheek
"Ariya come lets go .."vivek said getting his laptop bag ..
Mrinalini signalled vivek to look at Dev
"what wrong with him ..why is he so lost and smiling?" He whispered to Mrinalini
"I think he's in love .."
"Dev? In love? With who ?" He asked surprised
"the girl who made that painting " she pointed at the wall .
Vivek and Mrinalini shared a smile watching dev stir his coffee but still in a daze ..
"papa I'm getting late .."
"yes lets go ..bye dear " He kissed Mrinalini on her cheek "Make sure Dev leaves on time also .."
"Don't worry I'll take care of him".

Radhika was in her studio painting but then she didn't know why but the image that kept flashing in her head had to be painted !..She started a sketch and her cell phone rang
"Hello ?"
"Hey ..its me "
"Dev?" She didn't know why her heart was rejoicing so much
"..How are you ?"
"I'm fine..You ?"
"great Thanks!"
"How did you get my number .." she asked confusedly
"Apparently my friend Arjun is engaged to your cousin Deepika and ..I got the number from him .."
"what! You know Arjun and Deepika ..?" she asked with a surprised smile
"Of course I know them .."
"Then how comes I didn't see you at their engagement party ?"
"I was on a business trip with my boss for a week ...I felt terrible for missing their engagement but I made a promise to be at their wedding " He said assuring
Radhika smiled " So you're the guy Deepika mentioned about "
"Probably ..did she tell you about the prank I did ..?'
"Yes ..that was you wasn't it!?"
"Ya that was me I could tell you more about it .."
"How ?'
First tell me did you eat anything ?"
"umm not yet .."
"Ok then open the door because I'm right outside your studio .."
"what!!!!" She panicked a little feeling butterflies in her stomach ..
She opened the door with much excitement and saw Dev holding a bag ,she controlled her smile not wanting to seem to glad ..
"Hey ..Come on in .." She said wiping the paint of her hand with a cloth
"wow!!! Your studio is amazing .." he said putting the bag on the table
Its was filled with paintings , she had everything organised .She had different sizes of paintbrushes , card board, canvas and all the colors of paint in the world!
"You like it ?"
"I'm speechless .." He walked towards painting of India's landscape
"Radhika ..this is beautiful...It looks like Virdavaan "
"because it is " She said in a cute laugh
"Amazing!"
Radhika felt so touched by his praises , Vikram never cared for her painting but Dev seemed so fond about them ..She gazed on softly yet had a serene smile
"You really think so ??" She asked hesitantly
Dev frowned his brows wondering why was she so unsure about her painting
"Its just that no one praised my paintings like the way you did .."She admitted
HE looked at her cute expression feeling little hesitant about her painting .. He made her look at him "Their truly beautiful just like you.." Dev said with much tenderness
Radhika cheeks got a shade of pink, she didn't know what to say and this made him smile even more
They both sat down for lunch and ate together talking about her arts and new projects , she shared about her childhood with her sister and about her family..Dev also opened up about his family , his babhi , vivek and little niece ..He was born in Dehli and then they moved to Vridaavaan for his father work .They both felt really happy that their parents lived near the same area in India They both laughed and teased each other openly , and picked on each others food..Radhika didn't like peppers and Dev didn't like mushrooms so they would exchange ..
Later Dev told her about the incident that occurred with him in the morning and Radhika couldn't stop laughing
"what made you so lost ?" She giggled cutely
Dev gazed at her "I was thinking about someone .."
"who ??"
Dev was about to answer when his cell rang .Radhika felt so comfortable around him and didn't want him too leave .Even Dev wanted to stay longer but didn't want to disturb her from her work
"I have to go."
Radhika nodded cutely "Thanks for the lunch .."
"No problem"
After this day they would meet almost everyday and just got closer and closer .He would buy lunch and in the evening they would go for a walk ..Few times Dev even did painting with her ..
"Radhika is this color good?" He asked
"Ya that's perfect just spread it around the canvas like this " She held his hand helping him , Dev never felt her so close before , he could smell her fresh tea perfume ..Her cheek brushed against his cheek slightly without her realising .She was so into painting over his canvas explaining him the technique to paint but he was just so mesmerized in her beauty that he couldn't hear anything ..When Radhika realised this she put her hand over her flanks "your not listening are you ?"
Dev made a little innocent face shrugging "Sorry .."
She couldn't hold her smile and restarted her explanation
Sometimes they would meet surprisingly in the stores or even in the office building where Dev works as a architect ..
Dev walked out a meeting discussing with his colleague about the new project given to him ..then he saw Radhika waiting in the lobby and went to meet her
"Radhika!"
"Dev? You work here?"
"Ya ..but what are you doing here .."
"Mr. John wanted to buy my painting , he was too busy to pick it up so told me to come here .."
"You know he's the CEO of this company " HE clarified
" that's relieving "she was nervous
"Hey ..your Radhika right?" Mr.John came up
"yes ..Nice to meet you ." She handed him the painting
"You know , its because of Dev I checked your website , I loved the painting of the boats hanged in his office and he gave me your e-mail."
"That's so nice of him.." she glanced at Dev who gave her a silent wink
"I must say this piece of art is magnificent! Dev my boy ..Your Girlfriend here has some great talent .."
Radhika heart skipped a beat and saw Dev casually smiling ..
After giving discussing few thing with Mr. John Radhika spoke up ..
"why didn't you say something .."
"Radhika ..he doesn't like to be corrected ..If he says something it is ..no buts or if with mr john ." He paused. "and anyway what's wrong with the words girlfriend you're a girl ..who's a friend ..right ?" He winked
Radhika was confused ..
"I always thought their was only one meaning to this word .."She asked with innocence
"This word can be interpreted differently "
Radhika was convinced but Dev had a slight naughty smile They both went out for lunch at Deepika's bakery shop

Radhika would talk about Dev constantly to deepika ..
"I should have introduced you to dev long ago ..but I didn't think he would interest you .."
"I guess God made us meet the way he wanted .."Radhika said looking up at the bright sky
Deepika smiled agreeing ..
Few days later Dev had to baby-sit Ariya while vivek and Mrinalini we're at work but he got an emergency phone call from the office ..
He didn't know what to do with Ariya and called Radhika if she could baby-sit his niece..Radhika was delighted to and told him to come anytime ..
Dev dropped Ariya to Radhika's studio
"thank you Radhika I owe you one!"
"Chachu ..is she the beautiful girl you talk about to mama ?" she asked innocently
Radhika cheeks flushed pink glancing at Dev who was in a awkward position "Ariya ..don't bother Radhika and your mama will come pick you up in few hours .." he said quickly
"Don't worry about her ..."Radhika assured
dev nodded and heard Ariya excited voice "Are we going to paint!?"she was so excited
"yes! Come let me get you some painting clothes.."
Dev was glad that Radhika could take care of his niece and spend sometime with her .
Radhika and Ariya painted mixing colors and got messy but they both enjoyed it.. Radhika found Ariya so cute , such innocent talks and stories while they painted ..
They were having so much fun mingling with each other that they didn't realise the time pass Mrinalini came by to pick her daughter and was pleased to meet Radhika
"I think I've seen you somewhere. Where you at Arjun's engagement .?"Mrinalini asked doubtfully
Radhika nodded .."Yes ..that was me ."
"Its so nice to see you again ..and Thank you for taking care of Ariya "
"Its no problem , if you ever need someone to look after Ariya ..It would be my pleasure"
Radhika shared a smiled with Ariya
"That would be a real help.."
"Mama ..I like Radhika chachi .can I come back tomorrow?." Ariya interrupted cutely
"We'll see ...your dad's waiting in the car"
Radhika was a little taken a back when she heard Chachi ? But somehow she liked it ..
"wait ..Here is something for Ariya .."Radhika gave her the painting she made this afternoon..
"You made it for me?"she asked with her childish gleaming eyes
"Yes..I know you like fairies a lot ." Radhika gave her a cute wink and kissed the little girl cheeks
"Thank you !"
Ariya was so excited and ran out the door and waved back at Radhika
"Sorry about that ..Its just that Dev talks a lot about you sometimes we don't know where his attention drifts away too . I never saw him so distracted and happy at the same time after meeting you "She said tenderly
Radhika didn't know why her heart pasted so fast hearing this ..
"Anyways will see you soon ..Take care and Thanks again " Mrinalini said giving a sisterly hug
"anytime .Bye .."She waved
As soon as she closed the door she recalled

"what's that stickiness on you fingers? Is it jam?"
Ariya giggled "No ..it's the strawberries I ate "
Dev could feel the stickiness in his hair "Now because of you my head is all sticky"He said teasingly taking her of his shoulder and tickling her ..She laughed hanging over his shoulder ..
He entered the house and told her to wash her hands while he makes something for them to eat Few minutes later the door bell rang and ariya answered the door thinking its Mrinalini ..
"Ariya wait .."
She opened the door and Dev followed behind .."your not mama ?" she looked disappointed
"Vikram?" Dev was surprise to see him
