I know I'm opening myself up for bashing, name calling, and what not...going by experience that's what happens in India Forum's IPKKND forum if you stand by Barun Sobti. You're automatically put in that generic category of droolers/phangirls who apparently have nothing functioning between their two ears. What the heck...I've never cared about the opinions of people who don't know me..why start now? the reason I have opened this thread is to ask just few questions...which have been bothering me since Nov 30th and the incessant ridiculing and bashing of the person called Barun Sobti and eulogizing Gul Khan and everyone attached to the show but Sobti.
How come you guys never asked Gul Khan why 4Lions' official account and FB page first endorsed Zee-News' news about Sobti leaving on the september 21st weekend and then took the 'mommy told us not to talk to strangers' excuse and promised some news after a week which never came? Did Barun force them to do that? If an employee (Barun) wants to leave and gives a 2 month notice...when is leaving a job a crime? Have all of you held on to the job you're not fully satisfied with forever ? And is that the right behavior of an employer(Gul Khan as 4Lions confirmed on IF that she's in touch with Zee_News person) to Leak the news?
Or should they have cared enough to write something in those two months to ease his character out..and introduce a leap to next generation with Sanaya still the lead with some other guy? All of us would have been fine with that. Instead all hogwash tracks were introduced post remarriage on Septmber 28th .What could be the reason? Please someone tell me that ...I've still not been able to understand why there was no honeymoon, no talk about their 1st realization of love or about Babuji ?
BTW I think QH premiered on Zee end of October. Co-incidence much? And if you know the industry you can see he and the whole cast (Karan had repeatedly said Barun's not leaving until the week when Barun confirmed about his leave after SBS broke the news) was under a gag order until the SBS broke the news in November.
I always wondered why the same PH who gave no spoiler about the most awaited Arnav-Khushi consummation (which would have attracted the audience like Teri Meri spoiler did)...but gave the ASR death spoiler over the week leading to SPL or that weekend(sorry cant remember the time)...leading to a viewer backlash frenzy who already had been calling for happy Arnav-Khushi ending? Intelligent acts of a desperate PH wanting to extend the life of the show which, in their official Forum they openly declared, 'has run its course'??
And we blame Barun for his unprofessional-ism? Which part was it? Him giving 2 month notice? Him sitting down with his employer giving 'interview' to clear her image or him being consistent in saying that he wanted to take a break to spend time with his family...which by the way is exactly what he's been doing. And he's an actor. If he signs a movie (which is starting in April) or takes up another project what is wrong with that? If 4Lions could lose interest in IPK and started slow killing the story since introduction of Daadi's character.and moved on to another show on another network...that is ok because they are the ones whose brilliant vision brought in IPK...? But Barun is to be blamed for the show closure just because the channel put up a disclaimer blaming him (which they stood by so well that they withdrew it on international telecast the very next day) ? So Gul and team kare to saat khoon maaf and Barun, the unprofessional actor who did nothing to make ASR the larger than life character he was, needs to be publicly lynched... for what really? For not wanting to continue when he felt he didn't want to...? Iss biased expectation ka kya naam doon?
So Sobti I endorse your "I dont need to justify myself". Haq hai mera as a fan, as a believer in you...if that makes me a drooler or phangirl so be it.
