"………bani, I love u" bani felt happiness bubbling inside her like a bottle of champagne, but she just couldn't believe what she had heard and she dared not believe what she had heard so she gave him confused look and made as if to speak "jai …." But jai put a finger on her lips and silenced her and looked deeply into her eyes and spoke " shhhhhhh…..u don't have to say anything bani, I know that u don't trust me and who could blame u!! but if u can believe me just a little plzzzzzz believe me that I have changed from the day I met u, I love u and for me u r the only woman in the world and no one else exists, and I want ur love above all the things in the world and for that i'll teach u to trust me, bcoz if u can't trust me u can't love me"
bani had tears simmering in her eyes when she heard him say all this to her and she knew that she could trust her with her life and she could see it in his eyes that he truly loved her and she wanted to tell him how much she loved him too and she spoke with voice heavy with tears "jai I…." but jai didn't let her speak, he was too afraid to hear what she would say, he was afraid that she would reject him and he just couldn't take that thought so he stopped her from speaking and said "no don't say anything, I want u to take ur time before u answer me and I'll only hear u r answer when I have won ur complete trust until then plzz don't say anything, plzz give me a chance to show u how much I love u"
She was too chocked to say anything but she nodded her head and smiled tremulously up to him and gave him a tight hug. Jai decided to lighten the moment and said "well!! Ma'am I believe I came here for dinner originally" bani smiled up to him and said teasingly "yes!! I believe u were sir, but u have clearly put me behind my schedule so u'd better come and help me with it" jai laughed and said "I am really sorry for it, ma'am" bani laughed and said "u'll be forgiven but only if u help me with the dinner" he said "I am at ur service, ma'am"
With this bani left the bathroom and went and put on a fresh pair of clothes, while jai changed his clothes in the bathroom both where equally happy, he bcoz he had finally confessed his love to her and she bcoz she had finally got his love which to her had been beyond realms of possibility and she wanted very much to tell him that she loved him too but decided to wait until he was ready to hear her answer.
They both came out and headed for the kitchen to make something for themselves and kept staring at each other when the other was not looking and when their eyes met they smiled radiantly at each other, they talked about nothing and everything and jai kept bani in fits of laughter by telling her all kinds of jokes, which as bani said "were quite bad" but still she was laughing at them coz she couldn't help herself, she was too happy and laughing was a way of showing it. They didn't know what they cooked or ate but it was one of the most delicious meal of their life, it couldn't have been more perfect……………to be cont.
