You are both right. If she heals in her body it still will not function the same way. Plus, mentally the scar will never heal. Never. With time and a good mental professional she can move on but completely heal. no...

Yes. That is there...but that's not what all she has to suffer. Fighting those demons is something she will have to do once she survives (and going by what the Docs said,she is quite a fighter) ...along with fighting that depression, trying to make herself heal physically and emotionally...make her parents heal...she'll have to bear those taunts by the society.

The poor soul is not even out of danger when one my friends' brother remarked (when I and all my friends were grieving) "Shreya, tujhe kya pata woh ladki kaisi thi? Ho sakta hai uska character hi accha na ho" (Shreya, how do you know that girl had a high morale and was taken advantage of? She might have invited this for herself?)

And I did what I've never done in my life before. Ever.

I slapped him.

I apologized to my friend for that but not to him. My friend, herself was disgusted when she heard her brother speak something as gross as that.

What the hell do they think? That having a joystick like organ gives them effing rights to question some girl's morals and her character?

Prachi, you have hit on a key problem. Only 50% of rape victims report that they have been raped because they feel people will blame or not believe them. It is an outrage in this day and age.
