Chapter 4

She opened the door and saw a young man, wearing a sunglasses, His lips were tightened in a thin line, and his jaw was clenched. Madhumati furrowed her brow said: " yes ?"

" Khushi Gupta .. is Khushi Gupta here ?" he said clinching his jaw and his fit trying to control his anger.

Madhumati was scared, was this another trouble this girl will bring to the family that took in her, and provided her with everything!

" y..yes..who are you .. And what do you want from her" Madhumati asked.

He took his sunglasses and she could see the fire's spark in his eyes, he entered the house without waiting her to allow him to, he stopped in the middle of the living room.

" excuse me .. Who are you and who give you the permission to enter MY house?" Madhumati said angrily, the rudeness of this man pissed her off.

" Arnav Singh Raizada, whom this girl, Khushi, is falsely accusing of raping her!"

Madhumati eyes widened. Garima came to the living room from the kitchen as she heard what the man said.

" where is she ! .. I want to meet this clever girl .. I want to know how she made all this look like a rape case !.. I want to know what she wants ?! '' Where is this ch'" where is she ?"

She saw him. The same eyes, the same face, the same features, the same voice. She saw him, the criminal, the beast, her rapist!

She shivered and felt of dizziness. She clung to Payal's arm, who came with her when they both heard someone shouting in the living room.

Fear, weakness, horror was all what she felt when she saw him. Not as she promised herself, to be strong! .She heard what he was saying, Did he just say that she "Falsely accusing him" ?!

The man who caused her a pain the never imagined that it exist, this man who don't have any humane feeling, heart, any mercy when she pleaded him to leave her! The same man, with all brass neck, came to her house, pretending as if he was the victim, and she was the executioner! ..

" Khushi" Garima whispered grievously as she saw Khushi in that states, helplessly trying to protect herself with Payal.

Arnav turned to where Garima's eyes were fixed. He saw 2 young girls, and he could easily identify the one who claimed that he has assault her! The one who was shivering with fear that was clear in her eyes, trying to hide herself in the other girl.

He walked toward the girls, his eyes fixed in that girl, feeling a little bit muddled for unknown reason as he stared in her eyes! he expel it out of his mind, his cheekbones sharpened as he started:

"You .. You want money! You sold your and your family's honor for a money! You accused me falsely for money?! Then listen, I'm ready to give you any amount of money, I will gave you a blank cheque, you can decide the amount of money you want.. and in return you should drop the case that you raised against me, NOW ! And tell me what is your motivate from this claim.. " He said, leaving all who was hearing him in shock.

Money, he knew well to which extend some people can do for money! Who know better than him !, wasn't the root of ruining his family and his life is the love of money?.

He extracted the cheque book from his pocket, while he was saying : " I can win this case, and prove that it was a plot. And then sue for libel and plotting against me. But I don't want to waste my time for someone like you, I want this get over as soon as possible as"

He took his pen and signed the cheque. As he raised his head face to gave here the cheque, his face had spun and his left cheek was ablaze!

He got slapped! For he first time in his whole life, and by this girl !.

He was numb for few second. His blood was boiling, he was resisting the want to break the hand of the person who dared and slapped him.!.

He looked at her! the same girl, yet she was different!

The hazel teary eyes was carrying rage. Her cheek still covered with tears and her face was read, she was breathing roughly, and he can see that she was fuming. The little scared girl, was replaced with a totally new one.

Hearing his disgusting words. His effrontery to accuse her of selling her honor for money. All these ignited rage of anger, provoked her dignity, and pushed her to stop this criminal cheap man from insulting her more. No more weakness, she decided.

She took few steps ahead, she raised her hard and slapped him as hard as she could. A slap that hurt her palm and turned it to red.

"I want to see how you win the case Mr. ' Arnav Singh Raizada! I will be waiting for that ... huh,!.. No I will not wait, because you know better than me that you cannot do anything to save yourself from being thrown in the jail because of your crime. offering money, that's all what in your hand!! , that all what you can do.. but no, nothing will help a criminal like you from your deserved punishment. Nothing ..!" She said out loud, her tears covering her cheek, and her voice was trembling, yet showing her confidence and determination.

The slap, and what she had said! Her tone, her confidence, the pain and the determinant on her eyes seems very real. For a fraction of second, he felt that she it was real! But he didn't let this thought take over his mind, he was sure that he hadn't raped her!, he trust himself and his moral more than anyone, more than eyes of girl who he don't know. He cannot do such a crime, disgusting act. And that was the only fact! He was sure of himself, and not even the best actress can fool him.

He clinched his fits not to slap her back, he said trying his best to control his anger, he said in high dudgeon: " You want to see how I win this case?! you want to see how you lose the case, your honor, and everything, then wait and you will see, you will pay for what you did!"

She closed her eyes, and toke a deep breath."we will see .. and now, Get out.. GET OUT" she yelled, and started to push him toward the door. Her knees let her down, she fall down on the ground, her Amma, and Jiji ran to her, they tried to clam her down. He he was looking at her, with the same look and the expression when her was assaulting her.! She cried and shouted hysterically.. "GET OUT"

Garima stood and pushed him to the door: " Didn't you hear what she is saying.. GET OUT , and don't even think to come back here again!"

In the corner, Madhumati was static in her place, shockingly thinking about was she has just heard " Khushi raised a rape case !!"

He was walking back and forth in his room, pushing and throwing everything in his way. Shyam entered and saw him on that state.

" Sale Sahib, have you met the girl , Khushi Gupta ?!"

Arnav turned to his Jeeja, he looked at him with a tantrum in his eyes. He sat on the bed, his hand over his head bent, his legs were shaking up and down.

The slap and her words were burning him.telling him confidently that he cannot win the case! which he know that she was right! he was in a tough, very tough situation , he know that he was fooling himself before fooling her when he said that he will win.

And also, his conscience's sound that after seeing how determinant the girl is, after seeing the clear pain on her eyes and her reaction, was telling him that maybe, maybe he had really raped her when he was drunk. This sound irritated him a lot,. But he refused to believe it !. he only believe on himself, and there is no place for argument!

After few minutes of silence, he told Shyam what happened - except the slap part-.

" Jeejaji. I should win the case. There must be a way to win it!.. You must know some excellent lawyers in this type of cases and can prove that it was not a rape."

He heard Shyam's replay " Sale Sahib. Even the best lawyer in the world cannot do anything for you in this case ! all the evidences are against you, and it's not only one or two, there are many evidences.."

" What do you mean ?! She will win and I will be thrown on the jail!" Arnav stood directly in front of Shyam, and said out loud.

Shyam put a hand in Arnav's shoulder: " Calm down .. every problem has a solution. And I have one for this problem." He said,with a half smile.

" What is it ?!" He eagerly said.

Shyam said: "We can bring some people, pay them an amount of money, and ask them to testify for your favor in the court .. Or, we can bribe some of the medical staff to create some evidences against her which can help us , or ... "

His eyes fixed in his jeeja ji, while his mind returned back 9 years.

" Why ?! why you did that ?! why you lied?! Why you ruined our life ?! what have we done to you to do this..TELL ME WHY?!"

"I .. I was in need of money. He told me that he will give me a big amount of money that I never dreamed of , that could make me and my family live forever, I said that .... I .. I said that for my family, for my children... Forgive me please !"

" You sold your conscience for money! for money, you ended people life, tarnish their reputation and life! How cheap all of you were. Buying and selling your conscience for money, playing with people life for money!"

He squeezed his eyes shut and said: " No !"

" What ?!"

" I will not bribe .. I will not buy people's conscience, I will not play with people life with money!"

" Sale Sahib ! wasn't you few hours ago in the girl house , offering money ?! then what is the difference if you offered other people money. It's the same!"

" No, it's not the same' I will never bribe anyone at any cost and under any circumstance!.. and don't talk about bribery again.. understood!"

" Ermm .. OK , as you like. But you will lose the case !"

" I will not .. the real truth will come out sooner or later" he said before walking out of his room, and the Raizada mansion.

She felt a familiar hand squeezed her shoulder, bring her back to the present, and interrupting her thought. She know that it was Payal. Her sister, her dearest friend, her twin soul.

She turned to Payal with a fake smile to reassure her that she was fine.

Payal put the tray that carry two cup of hot chocolate milk in the comodino. She sat in the bed next to Khushi, she pulled her legs to her chest , copying Khushi position.

"What is going on Sanka Devi mind"

Khushi smiled. It has been long time since they heard some one called her that.

" Jeeji .. I .. I just remembered that man, that had brought me to the hospital, and helped the police to get a clue about the criminal .." Khushi eyes started to fill with tears. Payal pulled Khushi in a side hug, and caressed her hair: " Shshshs Khushi .. Just forget it.. forget all these thing"

Khushi wiped her tears before saying: " No Jiji, it's very important .. I'm thinking about that man that helped me, I never got a chance to thank that noble man for what he did. I wish if I can meet him and thank him jiji.. but how can I do .. I don't even know his name!"
