@Jyo: Great post. I agree about Prashant, and my opinion is that the trigger for him today was Yash crossing over into Prashant's memories of Aarti. The Aarti that Yash was saying he had a soul-connection with today, was not the Aarti that Prashant abandoned, but an Aarti that was his at the time. I think this made Prashant feel all territorial towards the situation... which eventually led to him wanting Aarti back in his life.
@Ria: Lovely symbolism for the flashback! I would add though that Aarti really wanted to go to the top of the cliff with Prashant, but he was lazy and wanted to drink tea. In short, he was never willing to put the necessary effort into their relationship the way Aarti was, if it was the slightest bit unpleasant, no matter how much she begged him to. Eventually, I guess he just got sick of her expecting more from him than his characteristic laziness. It is interesting because Yash and Arpita were stuck in one place, waiting for the moment to be captured while Aarti and Prashant were moving apart. I guess this shows that Yash and Arpita will always have that moment they were together, at the foot of the cliff, but that Yash was not meant to climb with her. It is Aarti who is sort of going in that direction behind him, as though leading him, in the picture. But Arpita, because she and Yash were in love and in sync, gets to be a part of the picture forever. Even though it is telling the story of Aarti and Yash's eventual meeting, she remains a dominant figure. Prashant, on the other hand, because of his laziness doesn't get to be in the story, showing that though Aarti was with him, she was alone even then.
