@Aparna...🤗...Long time no see...

I believe the blindfold episode was on Monday...I caught up with this week's episodes at one go, so got mixed up.

Yash and Aarti do not believe in the concept of couple privacy. They may discuss every other issue under the sun, within the confines of their room, but their own couple issues have to played out in public...That's the rule. They need witnesses. If not in the form of people, at least in the form of digital gadgets.

Prashant playacting his sickness would be really really interesting...That is a possibility...👍🏼

@Veena, Yes, on EC in Boston. I keep very long hours..so that may have misled you into thinking i was a different timezone. No power failures thankfully but schools were closed the first couple of days. Sounds like you have a party at your place. I am sure the girls are having a blast! Mine were too..goes to show how much know when we think life is crippled by the storm.

@Kittya, IMO Its all about execution. You can make a supporting character's story relevant and interesting. The leads dont always have to be the ones with the most screen time in every episode. We should be able to see facets of their character when the spotlight is not on them. Anycase, I am less inclined to add any more salt :)

@Red, 🤗. I must have missed the blindfold..when was that? Anycase, Yash seems to be tossing to all and sundry these smug and supposedly com-hither looks, its ridiculous. Whatever happened to a private celebration first and then a spectacle. Palak and Payal and in fact all of the other Scindhias are props. Shobha is over used and over cried out. The only interesting character would be Prashant.

Maybe I am alone but I wonder if Prashant has orchestrated all of his sickness only to get under Aarti's skin for real and earn his Mom's love all in one shot. All it could have taken is a well bribed actor posing in as a 'specialist'. How delicious if he were actually playing games with Aarti's head about being all wonderful but never really letting her move on..one can dream right.

As amusing and devious as that would have been, isn't that over-worked in the serial world? Very few people would do something like that in reality, and while it makes for great tv ratings, it is not easy to relate to and leads to over the top drama-something PV has alot of without extra props. I would much rather have had him be sick for real, but it being a mis-diagnosis. Upon learning the truth, he hides it from his family because he has begun to enjoy the feeling of warmth and attention again. Instead, he now uses the illness to draw Aarti in by gaining her sympathy and slowly takes over Ansh's mind with little hints here and there, ergo a more subtle version of Bhua. With that completed, he can now have Ansh dropping little hints around the Scindia mansion that are meant to stress her out and cause her to miscarry (which would be another underlying scheme), and thus leave her vulnerable when his existence comes out. That way she would be kicked out of the house, Ansh would already atleast like him, and she would have nowhere to turn but to his parents- where he is residing. There she would have to take care of him, and in his warped mind that might lead to something- whereas all she's thinking about is Yash and her lost child. This could then lead to a real falling out with the Dubeys for allowing Prashant back into her life, as well as Yash's most important realisation. Aarti- now isolated and lonely would be vulnerable to Prashant's manipulation and attacks, and since she and Dubeys aren't on speaking terms (her perception not theirs), she can't say anything. Thus Yash can be the big hero, and blah blah, blah. I'm fed up of typing.😆

@Kittya, I am not an avid serial watcher so will take your word on the predictability of Prashant's act.😊 Your option sounds fun too. Again, it all comes down to execution. A well executed story even based on a ridiculous plot has legs vs the opposite.

However that's a minority view. I certainly wouldn't mind that. I love Vidhi and she seems extremely interesting. I would like to see more of who Gayatri and Cas are outside of the saas/saasuma role. I would actually like to see Prateek grow a pair without needing his wife's arrest to be a catalyst. The thing is though, whenever there are scenes without Aarti and Yash, and the children- for those logical viewers, the majority complain. Cvs have to play to the majority every now and then to keep the show going. We won't like the execution of every single shot and track, but some other persons will and that means that the overall story will still get told without being cut short. Thus my salt.

When it becomes overbearing, I give me self a clean-out, ergo the senna. (😆) Those purges are the days I sit back, and watch the show mindlessly with the least bit of interest except for the acting, and then barely glance at the DC. That's my way of taking out the bad, the irritating, and the OTT and enjoying the good.

LOL! I must admit that I have watched quite a few serials, though not as many as I would have liked to.😆 In every single one of them, the evil ex, the misguided relative or the jealous sociopath blatantly manipulates and blackmails the protagonist into either running away, giving up their child, having an affair, or asking for a fake divorce.🤔

Second, fantastic analysis and observations!! Your first quote sums up everything perfectly and covers Aarti and Paridhi perfectly. In both cases their respective husbands pulled extremely frightening pranks on them. The irony is, had they not been guilty of anything, the most that they would have felt was confusion and irritation. Now, instead they are both stumbling around with immense weight on their shoulders and both are constantly being dissuaded from telling the truth by those who only have their best interests at heart but go about showing it in the most detrimental ways.😆

@Kadeen: Hey my lil sis...don't you dare cry... It's just that I haven't been around much in the last couple of days...Love you...silence or not!🤗

Thank you.😳

For explaining your method to cope with the madness. Sounds pretty close to being scientific.😆 I just go off on happy sabbaticals when I see silly cr*p for more than two times in a row.
