Salman Khan's voice goes to Vikas Bhalla

Generous Salman Khan has done it again! Known for recommending actors, he's now helped Vikas Bhalla by giving the actor-singer's name for the playback of his cameo song, Po Po in the upcoming film, Son Of Sardaar.

"All the credit goes to Salman. He heard the song, and next thing I know; he calls up Himesh Reshammiya and tells him I'd be his voice!" says Vikas, adding: "It's a superb track and has to be sung at a very high pitch. I had to practice for two days to get the song right."

October 30, 2012, (Sawfnews.com) - Arbaaz Khan says his debut directorial Dabangg 2 headlining Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha is nearing completion, with only a couple of songs remaining to be shot.

Salman is working overtime to complete the film while shooting for Bigg Boss Season 6.

"I've a couple of songs, and that's it. There's only ten days of shooting left. We had to make sure we were ready for a Christmas release. By God's grace we're on schedule," Arbaaz told TOI.

Salman recently wrapped shoot of an item song 'Pandeyji Ceetee Mare' with Malaika Arora Khan, who is also the film's co-producer. Scored by Sajid-Wajid, the song is sung by Wajid and choreographed by Chinni Prakash.

Arbaaz Khan explains:

"We have already shot the Pandeyji number. It's choreographed by Chinni Prakash. Yes, Malaika makes an appearance with Salman. We thought it would be a nice reference back to the Munni number from Dabangg."

"I don't know how you define an item song. If it's just a catchy number then we've three item songs in Dabangg 2. If it's a big-name actress making a guest appearance to dance, then Kareena Kapoor's Fevicol number is the only item song."

Dabangg 2 will bow in theaters on December 21.

Salman Khan spots security breach on Dabangg 2 sets

Tuesday, 30 October 2012 15:27 Moumita Bhattacharjee

Six confident men entered Dabangg 2's sets, shook hands with Salman Khan and strolled around the set like they were on familiar grounds. But the fact is none of them were part of the crew of the film and were just intruders! Yes, you read it right! There was breach of security on the sets of Daqbangg 2 in Mehboob Studios and it was Salman's intuition that helped the security personnel shoo the intruders away on time.
Recounting what exactly brewed on the sets, a unit member said that Khan was about to shoot a scene when six men came near him. They strolled around the actor for some time and later, went and shook hands with him. Doubting nothing initially, Salman shook hands with them too thinking they were part of the film's unit. But all of a sudden it hit him that the men don't seem recognizable. They don't look as if they are unit members or guests. That's when he raised alarm.
But the question is where were Salman Khan's entourage of bodyguards that stay with him 24/7 when such a thing was happening? The unit member rued that the actor's 12 guards are his personal ones. They don't have to be around his every film set like some sentry at the door. They generally are near him or by his vehicle. For this incident, only the studios' security measures are to be blamed.
Well, it is pretty obvious after such a mishap; the people at Mehboob Studios weren't spared from getting slammed for such breach. According to sources, as damage control, instead of 8 men, the security around Dabangg 2's sets has been beefed up to 16!
