Chapter 5: We're home!

"Lavanya, where were you all night?"

"Di, I was with my friends."

"NK!"

"Yes Di?"

"NK! Do you know your wife was out all night?" NK looked on shocked.

"Di, I didn't know."

Shyam who heard his normally, calm wife screaming knew Lavanya was home. He walked down in a hurry to see what was going on.

"Ranishahiba, aap shant ho jaye. HPji, aap Aru aur Liya ko lee jaye. (Ranishahiba, calm down. HPji, please take Aru and Liya away.)"

"Shyamji, you don't know what this girl has done! She was out all night with her friends!"

"This is your fault Ranishahiba! You should be aware of what Lavanya and Khushi are doing constantly!"

"But Shyamji - -"

"Jiju, please calm down. It's not Di's fault, it's mine! I should be the one who should be aware of Lavanya's whereabouts. I'm sorry Jiju and Di."

"This isn't the time to discuss all this, Arnav and Khushi will be here soon! We will talk more about this later and Ranishahiba I'm sorry."

"Shyamji, it's okay."

The doorbell rang and the whole family walked to the door.

"Hi, Bhabhi!" NK added.

"Hello Khushi." Lavanya said with the least bit of excitement.

"How are you Khushi?" said Shyam with a smile.

"Thank you Di! Hi, NK! Hi Lavanya and Jiju I'm fine, but how are you?"

"Absolutely perfect!"

"That's great and before you ask I'm perfectly fine! London was great."

"That's good!"

"Di, Khushi and I are very tired so we're going to sleep!"

"Where are our gifts?"

"Di, you'll have to wait!"

"Fine but Chottey, if I don't get my gift by tonight, I'll be so mad!"

"Alright, atleast help me bring these bags in!"

"Nanav, Jiju and I will help!"

"Di, now I'm really tired so I'm going! Khushi are you coming?"

"In a minute!"

Khushi gave Anjali, Liya, and Aru a hug and shook NK and Lavanya's hand. When she got to Shyam he whispered in her ear. "Terrace in 10!"

Khushi nodded.

"What took you so long? I was about to come downstairs and bring you up here myself!"

"Oh really?"

"Yes!" he came closer to Khushi and made a beeline of kisses down her jawline and made his way to her neck. He began pulling down the sleeve of her blouse with one hand as his other hand pulled down her pallu slowly.

All of a sudden there was a knock on the door.

"What the!" Khushi giggled at his outburst. She quickly fixed her state and opened the door.

"Mom, I want to sleep in your room today!"

"Sure Liya! Go sleep on the bed with your daddy. Arnav I have to do something, but I'll be back in a few minutes."

"Khushi." Arnav groaned.

"Arnav, I'll be right back. I promise!"

"Hurry up!"

"I said 10 minutes and you took 15!"

"Sorry Jiju!"

"It's okay! Now to get to the point! Here is your marriage anniversary gift!"

"Jiju, you already gave us the beach house!"

"That was to Arnav and this is you! Plus, your birthday is tomorrow so we thought we would give you this!"

"Jiju, you really shouldn't have!"

"Well, we did!"

"You're welcome and you better go; your husband must be impatient by now!"

"Finally, we are alone."

"Where's Liya?"

"She fell asleep so I took her to her room."

"Arnav, she wanted to sleep in our room and you. . .!"

"Khushi, I just want to spend time with you!"

"Okay fine, forget that!"

"Good, now tell me what you thought of my proposal, the one of trying again!"

"I think it's a great proposal!"

"Then we shouldn't waste time!"

He strode towards her and began giving her kisses all over her exposed body. He didn't waste time and quickly pulled off her pallu, he began unwrapping her sari till she was only in her blouse and skirt. She began kissing him and the kiss became passionate. While still kissing her, he began playing with the dori of her blouse. He looked at her with desire, love, and passion filled eyes. She silently nodded and he continued.

"Good morning baby!" Arnav said giving Khushi a kiss on her cheek

Khushi woke up and stretched her arms; she smiled, and said, "Good morning!"

"Hurry up and get ready! Di's waiting for us at the dinner table for breakfast!"

"Sure, Arnav can I ask you something?"

"What?"

"Can we go to dad's house today? I want to see them. I mean I haven't seen them for two years and they didn't even come to drop me off at the airport when I was departing!"

"Of course Khushi! You can go to your maayka whenever you feel like it!"

"Aren't you going to come?"

"Depends on if I can get out of work early. Are you going to stay there?"

"If it's okay with you and I wanted to take Liya."

"Sure, how long do you plan to stay?"

"Just two or three days!"

"If I can't come today, I promise I'll be there tomorrow!"
