Chapter 38

Virat pulled a sleeping Manvi closer to him as he started to place soft kisses on her face, it was almost afternoon and she was not showing a single sign of waking up, although he could spend a whole life time staring at her… he didn't want her to miss her medicines which the doctor prescribed to take for three days, The doctor has said that her body was too weak and she has to take healthy food and good care of her health, and he would never want her to ignore her health.

Manvi felt a tickling feeling on her cheeks and she poked her face to the nearest object present after making an annoyed face, and realized that she was pushing her face into Virat's chest as soon as she felt his skin against her cheeks, she groaned inwardly, 'why did things have to change so fast?' she thought as she continued to pretend to be asleep and tried to move away,

Virat smiled at her scarlet face as he held her waist in a tight grip not letting her move away,

"Open your eyes Manvi… I know that you are awake," he said catching Manvi off guard, she overcame the shock shortly and shook her head denying his request, feeling shy to face him yet again, Virat lowered himself a bit and raised her face by holding her chin, he wanted her to face him, look at him and talk to him and her resistance was making him feel restless, his gaze moved towards her swollen lips then to her bruises filled neck, 'he had lost control over his emotions and desires yet again' he moved away the hair which was covering her neck and ran his fingers through the bright red marks softly,

"I'm sorry…" he whispered and Manvi snapped her eyes open to look at him,

"I know… I have hurt you a lot then just say a sorry and forget it but… I really mean it," he was still rubbing her neck softly as if trying to vanish all the marks he imprinted on her body,

Manvi kept on looking at him, not knowing what she should say… she agrees that it hurt but it was sweet and precious for her because it represents his love for her… 'But how was she supposed to say that to him.' She wondered,

"Mere liye toh yeh tumhara pyar hain, when you shout at me, scold me, and umm..umm… all this, it's your love for me right?" she asked and turned his face towards her,

"But I shouted at you when you were sick…"

"Virat… every person has a different way of expressing their feelings and emotions… aur woh tumhara pyaar aur concern dikha neka tarika tah… I at least understand that much… warna yeh kaisa pyar hain… haan?" she asked lovingly and Virat smiled at her cute way of making him understand even forgetting the shyness she was feeling for so long,

"I love you…" Virat declared and didn't even waste a second to claim her lips in a sweet and tender kiss,

Next day…

"Virat… You know what… My mama loves such places, main jab bhi bahar jaa ne ki zid kart hi hun… toh she takes me to places like this, and I automatically started to like such places, open… serene and quiet, but it doesn't remain quiet as soon as I go there…" Manvi concluded with a chuckle and Virat wiped the tears away… Both Virat and Manvi were sitting under a tree as they admired the mind blowing nature in front of them,

Virat pulled Manvi in between his legs as he stretched it in front, her back was leaned against his chest and Manvi balanced her head by resting it on his shoulder, Virat reached the locket which was hanging down her neck and held it tight along with Manvi's hand which was holding it and rested his chin on her shoulder balancing his form on the tree behind them,

"What else do you like?" he asked as he felt her lost in thought, probably missing her mother, he didn't like to see her sad and thought of distracting her,

"Hmm… I like rivers and lakes the most when it comes to nature… I don't like beaches much… the salty water and air makes me feel kind of sick…. Phir mujhe tandi climates pasand hai…What kinds of places do you like…?" Manvi asked as she moved her head to the left side touching it with his,

"I would love any place as far as you are with me…" Virat replied as he kissed her cheeks… feeling satisfied with his plan of changing her mood,

"Achcha… Toh chalo na ek movie dekh ne chal the hain…" she teased him as she knew how much he hated to watch movies in theaters with that loud noise, Virat understood her tease and rubbed his stubble hard against her neck as she struggled in his arms with a scream feeling ticklish,

"Ahh… Virat… stop it… Mazak kar rahi thi…" he stopped and kissed her neck making her blush,

Both of them spent long hours in silence as they cherished the companionship of their life partners and started their journey back to the hotel before the hours of darkness breaks down.

Virat jerked out of his sleep as soon as he heard Manvi scream, he blinked and tried to clear the cloud which was blocking his view, the saw Manvi seated on the bed next to him, with a huge smile on her face, he relaxed and tried to listen to her conversation with Bhabi he guessed,

"Di… sach…? Oh God… I just can't believe… aap… jiju.." she laughed as she tried to catch her breath, and Virat wished to witness such scenes every time he woke up from sleep,

"Oh Virat… pinch me… I can't believe it…" she said and forwarded her hand and Virat placed a soft kiss on her palm, Manvi got distracted for a second but managed to talk to her Di again,

"Aap mom ban ne wale ho, Jiju papa aur mein Mausi…." She squealed and Virat sat up straight looking surprised at the news he just heard,

"Aur Virat tum… Chacha…"Manvi continued to squeal as she pulled his hand,

"Di… aap teekh ho.. What did the doctor say?" Manvi asked as she controlled her happiness and let Jeevika speak up finally,

"Mein bilkul teekh hun Mannu… She just gave me the next check up date with a diet plan,"

"Oh di… trust me… mein kushi mein pagal ho rahi hun… mujhe abhi aap koh dekh na hain,"

"Arre… You two are returning tomorrow anyway right? There's only a day for you two to enjoy… so enjoy karo aur kal araam se wapas aajana… Okay?"

"But Di…"

"No… Be a good girl and listen to me…"

"Okay di… Waise jiju kaha hain…?"

"He has gone out Mannu…"

"Jiju toh kushi mein pagal ho rahe honge… hai na?"

"Haan…" Jeevika whispered softly and Manvi understood that she was feeling shy,

"I love you Di… and Thank you… I'm so happy…"

"I love you too Mannu…"

Manvi switched on the speaker as she signaled Virat to speak,

"Congrats Bhabi…" Virat wished smilingly,

"Thanks Virat…"

"Bye Di… aur take care of yourself and the baby… Okay…?"

"I will Mannu… bye,"

"Oh Virat I'm so happy…" Manvi shrieked again and looked at Virat who was having a hesitant smile on his face,

"Your brother is going to be a father… khul khe haso na Virat…" Manvi said as she jumped on him hugging him tight, and he wrapped his arm around her,

"It's great you know, ek small si… cute si.. fragile baby… It feels great to have them in your arms… Awe…. Now I can't wait to see the baby…" Manvi said as she shifted into comfortable position and Virat sighed as he imagined a cute baby in bhabi's arms,

"Hmm… Even I'm feeling impatient now…"

"Haina…?" Manvi raised her shoulders and clapped her hands as she moved away from him,

"But I don't know to carry a baby… I mean I have never carried a baby…" he said as he pulled her closer to him again,

Manvi looked surprised for a minute and thought that it is obvious, 'how would he have had carried a baby'

"No worries… It's not that difficult…" Manvi said and suddenly realized that they were talking about babies, she blushed and thanked god for not letting Virat know about her thoughts… So she tried to divert the topic by listing all the places they missed to visit,

Virat didn't want to go anywhere out today and wanted to spend some time with Manvi as they have to leave back to Chandigarh the next day, but Manvi kept on listing names of places making him annoyed,

"No… we are not going anywhere…" he declared as he moved away from the bed stretching himself,

"Kyun… mujhe jaana hain…"

"No…"

"Par…" she stopped as Virat entered the bathroom and closed the door behind him, 'kuch bhi karo… kadus hi rahega…' she muttered and looked around the room with a frown… she needed to do something to keep herself occupied as her husband didn't want to take her out,

Virat came back from the washroom and saw Manvi folding their clothes and arranging it neatly in their suitcases,

"Manvi… did you order the breakfast?"

"Oops I forgot… main abhi kart hi hun…" she stood up in haste and banged her foot on the suitcase, "Ouch…"

"Kya hua Manvi…?" Virat asked worriedly as he walked closer to her,

"Calm down Virat… I just knocked my foot on this stupid bag… It's fine…"

"Kya fine… dikhao mujhe…" he made her sit on the bed and placed her foot on his thigh, Manvi hesitated and tried to move her foot away,

"Manvi… Let me check…" Virat gave a stern look and she pouted giving up,

Manvi looked at Virat as he ran his fingers on her foot as if it was made of glass and it would break if he applies any pressure, she was yet again left amazed with his care for her… her heart filled with a tender affection for him, how did she get so lucky to have such amazing and loving people in her life, she was never devoid from love, she has always been loved by people around her, but she never thought that she would get a life partner who will love her this much, his possessive and protective touch always made her love for him more deep and strong, and she struggled to control the overwhelming feeling… her heart forced her to love him more and more, and she didn't know how would she fulfill her heart's wish, she blinked as the water pooling her eyes fell on Virat's hand, he looked up shocked and sat next to her on the bed… thinking that she was crying because of her injured foot,

"Kya…" he stopped as he felt Manvi's lips on his,

Manvi moved closer to him pushing all the inhibitions she had in her and covered his lips with hers as soon as he sat next to her, she closed her eyes tight and more tears escaped her eyes, she felt Virat trying to move away but she held onto him tightly not letting him disturb or ruin the courage she managed to gather,

Virat felt confused, 'She was crying… he could still feel her tears but then why wasn't she allowing him to move away?' he wondered but gave in without any further thinking as he felt her pulling him more closer to her, the love she was expressing through her kiss… calming down his worrying nerves,

She felt him giving up as he leaned onto her pushing her to the bed, a different kind of sensation overtaking both of their senses, Manvi moved her hand to his neck and pulled him more closer to her and Virat enjoyed the love which she was showering on him,

Virat broke away from the kiss and felt Manvi gasp a lung full of oxygen, she didn't turn her gaze or close her eyes but looked at him with so much love that he felt himself go numb and weak, he couldn't believe that her single look which he died to feel for so long has such an effect on him, she turned him over and placed her petite body on top of his while he kept on staring at her, Manvi tilted forward and kissed his forehead, eyelids, nose, cheeks and finally both the corner of his lips and was about to move away but Virat rolled over her as he took her in for a steamy and hungry kiss while Manvi tried to match up his feelings equally by responding.

Both Manvi and Virat broke away as Virat's phone started buzzing, he didn't bother to answer the phone as he cuddled closer to her, the phone stopped ringing and Manvi let out a deep breath, she was happy about going back home but she also knew that he would again get busy with work and will not be able to give much time to her, but like every other wives she wanted her husband's attention too… she hoped that he would spare sometime for her after going back home.
