in todays episode there was always one family member wiht each other be in happiness or when the tuth is revealed

Credit to all the cast for awsome performance

So what made Shyam confess today???

My post will try to find the answer(s) to the question I posed above.

Could it be fear?

For the past few days, the trio have been recreating the horrific sins he has committed in the past. Right from the time, he cut himself while shaving, till today, where he shuts his ears, for he could hear no more, the sound of a baby crying, he has been on the edge.

In yesterday's post, I had stated that I was surprised that Shyam did not question why the family, especially Arnav and Khushi, were participating so enthusiastically in the wedding preparations. I think I got my answer to that today. It is not that he didn't question it. If you go back to the past few episodes, you will notice a certain discomfort in him when anyone mentioned plans for the anniversary celebrations. He was visibly uncomfortable when mami told him that there would be no guests for the party. He has been visibly uncomfortable around a chirpy Khushi.

Deep inside, he has been dreading that something is not quite right. He cannot put a finger to it, but he knows that something is not fitting. He has a fear of being found out, but he cannot do anything about it. He cannot do anything, because he isn't absolutely sure if his gut feeling is true indeed.

So, yes, fear certainly is a component.

What else?

Conscience?

That one line where he said "ek chota sa short circuit aur DHAM se giri rani sahiba" is still ringing in my ears. Kudos Abhaas, that was one helluva' performance. For the first time, I didn't notice either Arnav or Khushi on the screen.

Bottom line, conscience is one thing that this man does not have.

Gloating?

Man is a social animal. Every person likes to share part/all of their significant achievements with people that are important to them. Usually, the people with whom we share these with, are our family members or close friends. The same holds for Shyam Manohar Jha as well. He has committed so many sins, but so far, he has had no one to share this with. He is essentially "alone" in this, for he has not been able to gloat over his "achievements" in front of anyone. So, finally, when he saw that the game was up, for his fear was riding so high, that he could now no longer spin a tale at a moment's notice, he decides to share his "achievements" with people that are "important" to him.

So, in a nutshell we have answers to why Shyam Manohar Jha confessed today. Yeah, it was a combination of "fear" and "gloating".

A wonderful episode! Enjoyed it to the core!

BTW, also loved NK's performance today. When he was playing the dhol in Shyam's avatar, it was totally power packed. Awesome!!

What an episode!😭... Did Shyam really feel there was no way out? Is that why he confessed? Or the guilt of killing his own baby, the mental torture he was going thru last few days, made him own up?
Waiting anxiously to read the POV of our DC directors...

WOAH! What an episode!!!!

Today, what stood out to me was execution. It was screenplay first, dialogue next followed by direction. The set up today, reminded me of theater. At its finest. When you do theater, you have to pay attention to so many things:
- Props
- Dialogues
- Act after Act
- Reactions and of course actors and their nuances
Everything came through today...but screenplay - that was a clincher. The way they pieced the puzzle together for Anjali - with more of a voice over from Khushi - mind you the focus was NOT on her, it was her narration that was the focus here...and the dialogues were just mind blowing.
They got the Rasa they wanted, they had Shyam where they wanted him and he just caved. To me the guilt at being caught, the one second - let me compose my self and then the pychopath unleashed was just a beautifully written and enacted sequence.
Everyone's reactions and expressions were just top notch - right from Aakash's disbelief - to where are you going dude...to NK's killer looks, Arnav's - Im gonna tear you apart, to Nani and Mami were supreme.

Anjali - I will wait until tomorrow to comment.

Aabhaas as Shyam Jha - buddy - you rocked yesterday - and the screenplay truly supported you.

Now just some questions and pieces that left me wanting a bit more:
- The background score was a HUGE letdown today. It could have been a lot more captivating and engaging..they did falter that IMO. Like for example - although the Daiyo Ho is Shyam's BG music, it was not appropriate for that pychopathic outburst of his...
- I would have also liked Buaji, Babuji and Garima to be present, for he has rocked their world too.
- Is Shyam truly done? What about all that he has done to Khushi? And her family?

All in all a great episode...and I cant wait to tune in everyday to see what happened...Sometimes I wish I were in India to catch it when it airs...have to wait 12 hours to watch it and then post

Here's what I wrote in my character analysis for Anjali dated July 20, 2012

I'm copying the portion today the CVs portrayed on the screen.

Now let's go back to the plant simile again. Another characteristics of Hydrangea is that it does not really need it's support tree because it has the capability to get it's basic necessities like food, air, water and light from the environment. But if it grows up clinging to another tree, it needs it's support to stand. If you separate that tree, it will fall.

Anjali grew up with Arnav as the support tree. When Shyam came into her life, she extended her branches and clung to him too. When Shyam was away, then Arnav was there to cling to... When Arnav was busy at work, she had Shyam available to cling on to. It worked perfectly.

She needs someone to hold into fast. Even though the entire family is by her side, she still needs her main support.. Just like a Hydrangea growing between a wall and a tree, needs the support of that tree even though the wall is bigger and more solid. - Today when the truth was being revealed and her support seemed fragile, she screamed to stop it. Because her happy bubble was being destroyed. She could not pretend to not understand the situation anymore. But I was proud of Arnav today. He did not stop the truth from being revealed. He did not fall weak when Anjali protested. (This also I mentioned in Arnav's character analysis)

There is another funny similarity between the plant and Anjali. Hydrangea can also grow if you just put a stick by it's side. It does not necessarily need it's nutrition from the support structure. It can produce it's own nutrition. Now think of that stick as reality. If she ever had a chance to face the reality/life, she could have stood on her own. But her family, including Arnav, did her a huge disservice when they did not let her reach her full potential. Now she is just a clinging vine and an incomplete woman who has no identity of her own except Arnav's sister and Shyam's wife. She needs her illusion of a happy life to live and she is willing to do anything to maintain it. If you think about it, It's pitiful, really...

I can't claim everything would be hunky dory if Arnav comes clean with the complete truth. That's upto the CVs to portray. But it will force her to face the reality. It's very difficult to understand, if after being protected against reality for so many years, she will be able to take it or not, but it's the only way left in this situation.

As a wife, she has a right to know the truth about her husband. The family members including Arnav is taking away her right in the name of protection. She has asked over and over for an explanation and all the family members do is give her medicine and make her go sleep. She deserves an explanation and needs to be treated as a grown woman and not like a little girl who is incapable of understanding or facing the reality.
- Shall I say, BINGO?
