Chapter 19
Manvi breathed in deeply as soon as Virat moved away from her, she felt her heart over flow with a weird emotion after her first kiss with her first love, she knew that this particular step in their beautiful journey of love has only deepened their love for each other, she could feel it, she could feel his love for her from the way he was holding her, to say that she was feeling happy was less, she was feeling out of the world.
Virat moved away as he looked at Manvi's flushed face, her lips were curved into a smile and that small shy smile made him feel like the luckiest and happiest person on earth, the feeling of contentment made him want to scream and say that she was his, only his, he smiled widely till his jaw hurt, Virat realized that he was still on top of Manvi, he leaned in and placed a soft kiss on her forehead, he noticed that she was still holding his shirt, he softly removed her fragile grip then kissed her fingers and whispering a soft goodnight he moved away from her as he left the room.
Manvi cuddled on to the pillow, as she whispered a muffled goodnight with a sigh, she is going to miss him more now.

Next day….
Manvi was feeling shy to go out of the room, why is she behaving like this, 'Come on Manvi… this is so not you' she thought, she tried every possible things to get rid of this stupid feeling but nothing worked, she felt frustrated, 'Manvi you can't do this, if you keep on struggling like this di is going to understand, tab kya karoge?' Chalo Manvi be 'The real Manvi' and go out, aise choti choti baton pe thodi na sharmate hain, she somehow collected herself after a solid half an hour, she decided to think about this serious problem later, she had a big issue in the present to face, that was going in front of Virat, socho Manvi socho… she kept on talking inwardly as she banged on Virat who was walking towards the dining table, she bent her head as soon as he looked at her face, Virat sighed and continued to move towards the chair.
Virat was almost walking up and down in the hall for about hundred times while waiting for Manvi, she always used keep him wait when he wanted to see her as soon as possible, finally he got irritated and thought of at least making his bhabi happy by going to the breakfast table early, that is when he banged on Manvi, she was looking exceptionally beautiful today, dressed in a dark maroon anarkali, her cheeks just a shade lighter than her dress, her hair wet and open, he sighed as she bend her head, 'how was he going to let her go?'

Later in the hospital…
Manvi somehow managed to convince Anu for her rehab treatment using the promise she made, Viren jiju was taking care of the discharge papers as Virat left to talk to the doctor, Manvi was helping Anu to change,
"Mannu, I'll ask for a wheelchair for Anu, ready rehna okay?"
"Okay di bas five minutes,"
"Teekh hai main abhi aayi,"
"Anu, you feeling fine nah, yeh dress comfortable haina?" asked Manvi as she moved away from Anu,
"Haan Mannu I'm fine, don't worry,"
"Chalo then everything is done, we can move as soon as di comes," she said as she sat next to Anu, Manvi's phone beeped as she fished her phone out from the bag, she narrowed her eyes looking at Virat's name,
"Why are you calling, tum hospital mein nahi ho kya?"
"Nahi…" he said as he got onto the car,
"Kya?" Manvi screamed as she got up from the bed with a jerk,
"Don't scream Manvi,"
"You are asking me not to scream? Tum humhe airport pe drop kar ne nahi aoge? You won't at least meet me once before I go?" Manvi kept on screaming, hurt with his behavior,
"I called you to say bye only," he replied with a straight tone,
"Aise keh te hain bye, tum tum… how could you?" Manvi's scream miffed as she tried to control her tears, Anu's presence in the room totally out of her mind, Virat stayed silent as his heart broke to hear her hurt filled voice but he couldn't bring himself up to bid her farewell, hell he would just hug her and never let her go, but he couldn't let Manvi know his feelings, his nature not letting him speak anything out, he just hoped that she would understand,
"Even after knowing that we won't be able to meet for….. I even don't know for how long…., mein Shimla jaa rahi hun… Do you even understand?" she asked him as she walked towards the window,
"Not months, I can always come to Shimla when I want to see you, understand Manvi… I just hate farewells…" he finally gave her a sign of his own feelings,
Manvi was about to scream at his ignorance but stopped when his second statement reached her slow brain, her heart contracted with pain, not because she would miss him after she leaves but because she understood how he must be feeling to let her go, both of them stayed silent for few minutes, Jeevika entered the room with a ward boy and helped Anu to sit on the wheel chair, Viren looked over at Manvi who was holding the phone closer to her ear with a sad face, he guessed the situation as he hurriedly made Jeevika and Anu move out of the room,
"Par Viren ji, let me bring Mannu," Jeevika said as she turned to go inside the room again,
"Tum Anu ko lekar jao, I will bring Manvi," he somehow managed to send Jeevika away with Anu as he thought of giving Manvi some time and stood outside the room,
"Manvi," Virat spoke out as he couldn't bear her silence anymore,
"I love you Virat… I love you a lot and I will miss you," she said as a tear escaped her eyes, "And imagine a hug along with that," Virat closed his eyes as he released a deep breath, "I love you too," he whispered and she hung up the call,
Manvi turned to look at the door as she heard a knock, Viren entered and smiled at her, she mirrored his action while moving forward, Viren stopped her and wiped away her tears,
"Chalen?" he asked looking at an embarrassed Manvi,
"Hmm," was the only thing which escaped her mouth,

They have admitted Anu in the rehab after completing all the formalities, Jeevika has left home while Manvi and Viren were waiting for the Councilor to run a short check up on Anu,
"Mr.Viren, I will recommend you to keep her admitted for at least two weeks, I have gone through her medical reports, we will carry out a detox session, then some counseling and group therapy, she should be perfectly fine after that,"
"Thank you Mr. Daya… We can come and visit her right?"
"Of course you should, they should have the support of their family and friends,"
Viren thanked the councilor while Manvi went to spend some time with Anu, 'jiju will be sending the driver after some time, I can at least spend few minutes with Anu," she thought as she entered the room,
"You are feeling fine nah? I will try to come over and take you back to Shimla,"
"Mannu, I'm fine… You don't worry… I'll manage..."
"I don't want to leave you alone… but uh… di will come to visit you okay?" Anu nodded as she kept looking at Manvi differently,
"Kya hua why are you looking at me like that?"
"You have changed a lot Mannu… I don't know why… but... I feel it,"
"Me…? Changed? Nahi toh… Main ab bhi wohi hun, Anu khi sab se achchi dost…"
"Aur kisi ke liye sab se khaas… Haina?" Anu asked as Manvi gave a confusing look,
"I noticed… when you were speaking with that someone on the phone when we were leaving the hospital…"
"Woh toh Virat tah…"
"Haan toh… haina tum us keliye sab se special?" asked Anu as she smiled timidly at Manvi,
"Woh… ummm… Mujhe kya pata… you have to ask him only…" Manvi stammered as she looked everywhere but not Anu's face, Anu smiled widely looking at Manvi, she was right, her cute and darling friend was in love, but soon her face turned sad, she fell in love with someone too, but the person she chose was wrong,
"Chodo na Anu," Started Manvi but she noticed Anu's sad face and stopped, should she let Anu speak about her addiction and the following happenings now? She wondered,
"Anu kya hua?" Manvi asked as she touched Anu's shoulder, "Is your leg hurting? Why are you looking sad…?"
"I'm a fool Manvi, I got deceived…. He broke my heart along with the trust I had on him," Anu sobbed as she held Manvi's hand tightly, they were sitting in the room which the center has provided for Anu, Manvi didn't reply but she pressed Anu's palms, encouraging her to continue,
"Tum he pata hai, usne mujhe uski pyar mein itna pagal karwaya khi, ussne joh bola meine wohi kiya, he made me hide things from you and others aur mein bhi pagalon khi tarah, uski baat sun thi rahi, Vishal tum logo se kehtha tha na khi, he loves someone aur tum log usko ideas bhi de the thei, he was indicating me but he lied to you'll saying that it was a junior," she paused as she looked at Manvi's shocked face,
"He behaved so cutely with me, that mujhe pata hi nahi chala, when I started enjoying his attention, and finally I started to trust him, Woh doosri larkiyon khe saath flirt karna band kar diya, and I thought that he really loves me, phir humari concert wali raath, he asked me to meet me at the terrace, mein bhi tumse jhoot bol kar, usse mil neh chali gayi, He proposed me and I also said yes, I was so happy so happy that I just wanted share my happiness with you," Anu stopped while she wiped her tears off,
"But he said that we will tell everyone about us after he gets settled with his life, usne kaha that he wants you'll to accept him whole heartedly, then I said that you'll will even do it now, but usne kaha khi you all think him to be a flirt now, so he will make you'll believe him to be a responsible person then you'll would be happy with us, I was not convinced but I didn't want to hurt him at that time, mein kitni stupid hun, I didn't understand his intentions then, I'm sorry Manvi, Meina tumse aur Shiv se bohot jhoot bola, I'm sorry… Please forgive me…" she cried as she pleaded,
Manvi shook her head while she herself cried, "It all went well till bhai went out of the city, Vishal said he will drop me in Shimla on Jeevika di's wedding day, and bhai thought that I will stay with our neighbor till the shaadi, bhai wapas aane wale thei but he had to straight away go to abroad, Vishal mujhe bahar gumane lekar jaana shuru kar diya, then I don't know how and when he started giving me drugs, I think it was when I fainted once when I was with him, thode din baad I started to crave for drugs, I didn't understand what was happening to me, meine tum se baat kar na chod di, because I knew what I was doing is wrong, I felt guilty to face you or anyone, shaadi main ana toh dur khi bath thi, I started to understand his intentions when he once tried to misbehave with me, I somehow managed to escape but my pine for drugs didn't let me stay away from him, I went to him and asked for drugs, he made me suffer then said that… that I will have to…,"
"Bas karo Anu… I cant… please bas karo…" cried Manvi as she couldn't bear to listen to the torture her friend went through,
"Nahi, please mujhe keh ne do… warna.. I will die... I can't handle this burden anymore please…"
Manvi hugged Anu tightly as she tried to compose herself, "phir.. phir tum ne kya kiya…" asked Manvi fearing to hear the worse,
"I don't know what came into me but I refused… I tried to run away again but he got furious, usne mujhe forcefully car mein lekar jaane wala tha, I think he was not in his sense then, he couldn't control the vehicle because of my struggle to escape, phir humari accident hogaya… I'm glad it did, warna patha nahi…"
"Shhh… aise mat bolo… please… patha nahi what I would have done, if I didn't see you… I was so happy when you said that you will come for the shaadi, jab tum nahi aayi… mujhe laga… that you broke our friendship… don't hide anything from me here after… Please haan,"
"I won't and I'm really sorry… Meine tum he bohot hurt kiya,"
"It's ok but don't do that hereafter…" Manvi hugged Anu back…
They both were feeling at ease after sharing their pain with each other, it felt like that they have got their old days back, they kept on talking for hours, it was only when Viren called Manvi she realized the time, she bid Anu farewell with a heavy heart, but Anu somehow managed to convince her saying that she will be back in two weeks, and they can do all the masti together.

Though Manvi felt happy about having Anu with her she also felt bad about thinking what she had to go through because of Vishal, she slightly remembered the nurse mentioning a boy, when she heard about the accident, it could be Vishal she thought, they said there was only little chance for his survival, she wanted to know about his condition not because she cared but because she wanted him to get punished, she decided to call the hospital the next day, she felt tired now, she wanted to have a good sleep after all the emotional turmoil, she remembered Virat as soon as she closed her eyes, she couldn't talk to him for long after she reached Chandigarh, he was busy in a meeting. She wondered what he must be doing now, she didn't want to call Virat now, what if he was tired, he rarely slept in the last few days, she dodged the urge of calling him, she thought of sending him a message but decided against it as well. She will talk to him in the morning, she had an important work to do, that is texting Shiv about Anu's progress, he would be happy she thought as she pulled her phone out and sent a short message to Shiv.

Next day morning…
Vanshika and Viren were seated in the hall as Jeevika served them their morning tea,
"Toh beta you're saying that she will be fine after two weeks," Vanshika asked as Viren nodded his head, they had to tell Vanshika about Anu as they have brought her to Chandigarh,
"Haan ma, that is what Mr.Daya told us… I really hope that she gets better soon,"
"Hmm… How did Manvi cope up with this?"
"Shocked thi but she is fine now…."
"I can understand who toh itni bholi hai, aisi batein toh Bechari ke liye bohot heavy hoga accept kar ne mein,"
"Haan ma… But patha nahi kaise… Virat managed to convince her," Jeevika said as she remembered their confront the other night, Vanshika gave a questioning look to Viren as he gave a meek smile,
"Waise where's Manvi?" Asked Vanshika looking around,
"Oh I think she is still asleep… I'll go and wake her up…"
"Nahi nahi.. rehne do… wake her up after some time, she was looking very tired last night," said Vanshika as she stopped Jeevika,
"Lekin ma… she has to go to Shimla, Ma wahan pareshan hain,"
"She is going in the afternoon right? let her sleep for some time…"
"Okay ma… I'll go and serve breakfast,"

In Manvi's room…
Manvi was peacefully sleeping when her phone buzzed, she sleepily grabbed the phone, and muttered a lazy "Hello,"
"Were you sleeping?"
"Haan but… wait…" she blinked her eyes as she cleared her hazed vision, Manvi bit her tongue as soon as she realized who it was,
"Umm… Good morning Virat…"
"What morning Manvi….? I have been waiting for your call since hours… You promised to call me in the morning…"
"Abhi morning katam nahi hui… It's not even eight Virat… waiting for hours ka matlab kya hain?" she paused as she checked the time again to confirm,
"Didn't you sleep the whole night?" Asked Manvi as she narrowed her eyes,
"I couldn't sleep for long… anyway at what time are you leaving?"
"At eleven I guess,"
"Hmm.."
"I have enough time to get ready… I won't be going to see Anu today, and you know what? The councilor said she only needs to be admitted there for two weeks… I'm so happy…"
"That's good, did she tell anything to you?"
"Haan… It's Vishal only, Shiv was right… Pata nahi… I don't know how we all fell into his trap… I feel so angry khi… I feel like… pata nahi… I felt very bad yesterday…"
"He is in coma,"
"Wait… what? Who… Vishal?" she asked as sat up straight on the bed,
"How do you know?"
"I'm the one who cleared the police case, so it's obvious,"
"Achcha… kya hua usse?"
"You are still worried about him… even after him doing so much?" he asked with a stern voice,
"Pagal ho…? What's wrong with you? I'm not worried I just want him to learn his lesson… why are you talking like that?" she asked surprised with his reaction,
"Nothing…"
"Oh ho… feeling jealous are we," she chuckled imagining his face,
"Stop it Manvi… You know that I don't like such jokes,"
"Achcha baba… Sorry ab gussa mat ho, aur ek sweet si smile do…"
He stayed silent as he tried to stop his lips from curving, "ab don't try so much, come on na, smile…"
"Manvi…" he tried to be firm but his voice failed his attempt by showing her the smile,
"That's like my sweetheart, Ab wish me morning…"
"Kyun?"
"You didn't wish me, phone koh answer kar thei hi, you started your investigation,"
"Good morning…"
"So ab jao aur have your breakfast, Kamla ji must be waiting…"
"Nahi Manvi… I have to go now… I will have something out…"
"Virat… please…"
"Come on Manvi… I really don't have time for all that…"
"Mere liye please… thoda…"
"No… "
"Okay mein tumse baath karungi… you listen to me while you eat…"
"Manvi…"
"Please… please thoda sa… bas five minutes mein ho jayega,"
"Fine… I have already started eating,"
"Thank you… ab mein kya keh rahi thi.. pehle…" and she kept on talking till he finished his breakfast and reached his destination, 'thanks to the Bluetooth facility' she thought as soon as she disconnected the call.
