Chapter 1:

"KHUSHI!" Arnav woke up from his dream. "Thank god it was just a dream! Every day! Every single day! The same dream haunts me. That accident!"

"Papa, is everything okay? You always wake up screaming 'Khushi'! Papa, who's this Khushi?"

"No one beta! Now hurry up, you have to go to school right?"

"Okay I'll get ready quickly!"

"Kia, we are going to NK chachu's tomorrow so take out the clothes you want me to pack okay?"

"Sure dad!"

"Khushi, where are my clothes?"

"They're on the bed!"

"Here they are thank you! What did you make for breakfast Khushi?"

"Your favorite Jalebis and Aloo Parathas!"

"Thanks Khushi! You're the best!"

"Where's Divya?"

"She's in her room! She's mad because I told her we aren't going to celebrate my birthday this year."

"Why? Ofcourse we are going to celebrate your birthday this year."

"NK, I really don't want to celebrate my birthday. You know I hate it! It reminds me of him; he always used to come up with the craziest ways to celebrate my birthday. One time, he covered every inch of Shantivan's floor with red rose petals and he even made jalebis. He made it romantic by adding scented candles and he gave me a beautiful sari for a gift."

"You still love him don't you?"

"Just as much as you love Lavanya."

"MOM! WE'RE CELEBRATING YOUR BIRTHDAY NO MATTER WHAT YOU SAY!"

"No we aren't Divya!"

"Divya, don't worry! We're going to celebrate your mom's birthday for sure!"

"NK!"

"I'm serious! What kind of a husband would I be if I don't celebrate my wife's birthday?"

"A good one if it's against her will!"

"Khushi we are going to celebrate you birthday!"

"NK, you're crazy."

"You're crazier! Now I'm leaving for work. I'll see you when I see you!"

"Okay!"

"Khushi, pack your clothes and all your stuff!"

"How much time?"

"Two hours!"

"That's not enough! How will I reach the beach house?"

"Take the driver and get there. Then have the driver send the car back."

"That could do! NK, thank you again!"

"Khushi, stop thanking me! You're my wife and it's my duty!"

"Okay, enough of wasting time! I'll go! There's a lot of work to do!"

"Okay!"

1 hour later:

"Driver take me to the beach house and hurry up."

"Ma'am, there's no petrol in the car."

"WHAT?"

"I'm sorry ma'am."

"How will I get there now?"

"Ma'am you can call a taxi."

"I don't have that much time! Arnav can't see me! He can't!"

'Ring Ring'

"Khushi, are you at the beach house yet?"

"No, there's no petrol in the car! How am I supposed to get to the beach house in 1 hour?"

"Do you have money for a cab?"

"No, I don't. Will they take a credit card?"

"Yes, they will."

"Okay, I'll take a cab."

"Okay, bye! Call me when you get there. I'm leaving for the airport right now!"

"Bye!"

"NK, I'm going to Anita's house."

"Okay!"

"Anita, he's coming to NK's house. Is it okay if I stay here for a few days?"

"NO! Get out of my house! I said leave!"

Khushi looked on shocked and then broke out laughing.

"You will never change!"

"Come inside crazy! You know you're allowed in my house whenever you want! You and NK were there for me when I needed you and now you need me so of course I'll help you!"

"Anita, you need a new wardrobe!"

"Khushi, I don't need anything! By the way, I was thinking, why don't you want to face him if he knows you're alive?"

"I don't want to face him because I know he hates me! That night when that accident took place, I know he was happy to hear that I died."

"Khushi, it could just be a misunderstanding!"

"Anita, I loved him but he didn't trust me! He thought I was cheating on him! How could he? I know that NK said he was broken, but he was surely happy that he would never have to see my face again. When he found out I was alive, he was really unhappy! I know that he loved me a lot at once, but that love has turned into pure hatred!"

"Khushi, just meet him once!"

"When he found out I was alive, I promised him that I would never cross his path again!"

"I know you're pining for him day and night! Maybe, he pines for you too!"

"It's not possible. He hates me, and I don't pine for him, I pine for my child!"

"Khushi, you lost your child because of a misunderstanding! You can get both your husband and child back! Clear the misunderstanding."

"Anita, I don't want him in my life anymore! I've moved on!"

"No you haven't! You still care about him just as much as you use to!"

"I don't care about that Laad Governor!"

"Yes you do!"

"Anita, I don't want to argue with you! Can I just go to my room?"

"Fine, let me just get it cleaned. Ramu Kaka! Clean Khushi's room up please!"

"Yes, Anitaji."

"Khushi, do you want something to drink or eat. I made kheer!"

"No thanks! I'm good!"

"Okay!"

"I'm fine Nanav."

"NK, don't call me Nanav!"

"It's funny! I like teasing you. Anyways, that's what most people think your name is anyways!"

"My name is Arnav Singh Raizada!"

NK looked worried. "He can't find Khushi! Khushi doesn't want to be found by Arnav!"

"What happened? Why do you look so worried?"

"Nanav, where do you think Khushi is?"

"Here! In Australia!"

"Are you crazy? Why would she be in Australia?"

"I don't know. Look I just want to apologize to her."

"After what you did to her, do you really think she'll forgive you?"

"Maybe or maybe not! Whatever happens, I want to see her once."

"Last time I saw her in India, I might have said too much to her."

"Nanav, she tried to kill herself twice, because you said you hate her and you stole her daughter from her!"

"NK, Kia is only my daughter!"

"Nanav! DON'T YOU REALIZE THAT KIA WAS HER LAST HOPE? SHE WAS IN SO MUCH PAIN WHEN YOU TOOK KIA AWAY FROM KHUSHI!"
