Anjali is such a confused soul that she doesn't know what she wants. We also need to take into consideration how manipulative Shyam is. He made her believe that their daughter held so much importance for him, and she wanted to please him and kept the baby as a result. As long as she is happy with Shyam, she's happy with the baby. Yes, her ideology is completely flawed - I am not defending her actions for a second regarding the abortion - I'm just trying to shed some light on her thought process.

She has sacrificed herself for Shyam time and again, and that's what was being shown by the glass.
