So when he woke up he is having an adverse reaction to the dream as he is confused with what is reality and dream!!

There's also the possibility that Yash is running away from Aarti because now he knows for sure that she is in love with him...(obviously he has read the diary). For him this is a complication he cannot handle...after all he is supposedly in love with Arpita...and one can only love once..and blah blah. Yet, he can't deny the pull he feels toward Aarti...Thus, the easy friendship that he was so happy with suddenly became messed up...and he freaked out...That's why all his old defences came running back.."She is nothing to me...She is not my wife...I only married for kids...etc...etc." He is scared and he is confused. All his convictions regarding love are biting dust. He thought Aarti would always remember her ex-husband...but apparently, she has moved on and fallen in love with him. He thought he could never think of any other woman than Arpita...yet here he was attracted to Aarti.

@Indu: Sorry I disappeared. I had to rush off somewhere. I didn't really write a full analysis yesterday because I didn't feel like it, and didn't have the pressure of a first page res. since I joined the discussion late last night. But I think you can see my thoughts scattered around from around page 30 or so. I wrote a lot of lengthy posts in the course of discussion rather than one analysis.

@Red: I agree with you completely. Yash absolutely needs to be left alone to introspect. Look at the fabulous results that had when he said no to the pub and Aarti just marched off to the koli thing with the kids! He wants to be happy and he wants to be reasonable, but he does NOT want anything forced down his throat, which is what I thought of when he shouted at Aarti sarcastically at the car...stop acting like you are the only one who cares about the kids. She has been holding the kids happiness over his head as a means of blackmail almost and if he now misunderstands the purity of her intentions in some way, or realises that her actions were all planned, you can see how her actions would start to irritate him.

@Angel: That fable is perfect for Yash! He is scaring everyone with his roars and warning them to beware but in the process is alienating the very people who would chew him out of his net. So he is trapped, roaring in that very net because I think part of him is scared to come out and face freedom. It is too big and intimidating. So he shows his teeth and his claws off from within the net and stays comfortably put.

Yash has read Aarti Diary and he is stuck with his feeling for Arpita ( he loves her and does want to forget her love and her) and his feeling for Aarti ( he knows that Aarti had feelings but after reading the diary know how much she loves him ) ... Yash will regret what he has done to Aarti , but it will take time .. So the next week or more will be Aarti & Yash apart in the same house ( silence)... Yash will be sorry and say what he thinks and feeling ... The wil be a big confession scene ... So let's see where this Love triangle ends ...-Admins
