I certainly feel Aarti is more like fire and air . Fire because Fire is associated with the qualities of energy, assertiveness, strength, courage, transformation, and passion , all that Aarti has while air signifies youth , change , juvenile state. Because Aarti has already brought lots of change , entered Yash's life like a cool breeze , she can be compared with air .

Yash is certainly water. At times , Calm-composed & when something goes against his acceptance , he is no less than a Tsunami.Water is associated with the qualities of emotion, healing, divination, and intuition. It is also associated with change , the change he is 'suffering' 😆

Now lets imagine what will happen when fire-air-water combines in future 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍...it did comibne once during Arpita's shradh puja .. remember the combo of fire-water-air ... Aarti protecting the fire from water and air by giving the umbrella support 😳😳😳...
I now really wonder whether CVs actually hv similar symbolisms in mind when they write such scenes 😳...

I think the deceased Arpita is the controversial fifth element of ether, because at this point she is nothing but an empty space that keeps sucking in energy from Yash, Palak and even Aarti (with the recent AKJ fiasco). I like to think she was water, but in its solid state, ie ice. She controlled Yash from burning up while her life with Yash was melting her gradually. She was also set in her ways.

Red, I agree with your assessment that together Aarti and Yash are a combination of fire and air. They do switch over depending on the perspective through which we are assessing them and their own emotions. But the combination remains the same.

@Redeye :I think it was Indu who mentioned about the 5 elements symbolism during the shradh puja of Arpita when fire (havan fire) ,water(rain water) ,air (thunderstorms) ,earth (Yash was doing the shradh on open ground) and life (Arpita's soul got released by Yash himself and AarYa got a new beginning) merged together for AarYa's new beginning 😳😳...
Today if Aarti walks on fire again and Yash is found unconscious somewhere on earth with rains and thunderstorms too there 😆 and Aarti gives new life to Yash by saving his life , then once again it will b merging of 5 elements 😳

@Jyo: Ooh, interesting tie in with the shraadh! A few interesting, random references to elements.

Yash being associated with fire also ties in with the fact that he gets fevers so easily as an emotional response to change and a physical response to pain. His method of healing is to flame up and burn out.

It is also interesting that after the shraadh, Yash was on a no-water fast. He would not take in any water. But Aarti cured him with a combination of water and air, externally.

Palak's birthday was all about fairies, which was Aarti's choice independent of her plan to become Arpita. Fairies are all about air, with their ability to fly. So apart from the actual AKJ plan, we can see that the party was all Aarti.
