PART 4

Virat was driving.He couldn't understand how the things got so wrong.He never gave a thought to this.How was he so lost in his anger or ego!For him what was all of these about?...He was so much angry with himself.He made her life so painful! He was the reason behind all her pain,her change.He reached house.He turned around & saw the gift.It was still in the car.He was about to give it after the cake had been cut.But somehow he forgot to take it & after what he had come to know,he was not able to give it to her.He was feeling so repented...He took the gift & came inside.Just then Viren called.

Viren: Tu thik toh hain na?

Virat: Ha yaar.thik hoon.

Viren: Sun,ek baat kehni thi...!

Virat: Ok,bol.

Viren: Kaal humara college reunion party hain.Hum sab hi invited hain.Tu kya aayega?

Virat: Pata nahi yaar...sochta hoon.I'll tell you.

He hanged up.He was sitting & thinking about her pain.He had no clue to her loneliness.He was so busy in his pain & all the things around him that she got lost in his life...Now he knew everything.What was he waiting for?He must do something for her.He then thought about the reunion thing.Manvi also would be present there.He should tell her that he had realized his mistake & he wanted to be with her.Maybe he would not be able to compensate all those moment but he would try to make her upcoming days livable & lovable.All he needed is just to hear a yes from her.

It was the reunion party.Everybody was coming there one by one.Virat came in & saw Viren & Jeevika was already there.Before going to them,he checked the gift.This time he would not forget to give it to her.He came to them.Vidhi was also with them.

Viren: Tu yahan!mujhe toh tu ne nahi bataya tha!

Virat: Sorry yaar!woh dimag se nikal geya tha.

Viren: It's okay...tu yahan aaya yeh hi bohat khushi ki baat hain!

Virat was eagerly waiting for Manvi to come.He did not want to waste any time.It was the high time.He was waiting & Vidhi came.

Vidhi: Uncle,ek baat punchu?

Virat: Ha,beta...

Vidhi: Kya kaal aapne Manvi aunty ko gift diya tha!

Virat: Nahi beta...

Vidhi: Kya?par kyun?

Virat: Beta bhul geya tha!

Vidhi: Kya uncle!...aap agar gift de dete toh kya hota!

Virat: Waise beta aap itne kyun dukhi ho rahi ho?

Vidhi: Kya hain na,maine kabhi aunty ko koyi gift nahi diya...aur aap ne gift meri help se kharida tha,toh agar aap gift time pe de dete toh mera bhi uss mein share hota na!

Virat: Oww sorry beta.dil se sorry!!!!aunty yahan jaise hi aayengi main unhe gift de doonga!okay?

Vidhi: Okay,uncle par iss bar maat bhul jana!

Vidhi finished the conversation.Viren & Jeevika came.Jeevika took her to have dinner.Viren noticed Virat's restlessness.He sat next to him.

Viren: Kya baat hain?Tu itna pareshan kyun hain?

Virat: Yaar aapni galati sudharna chahta hoon!

Viren: Matlab?

Virat: Matlab ki main aapni galati samajh chuka hoon.mujhe ab har paal usska sath dena hain.

Viren: Tu Manvi ki baat kar raha hain?

Virat: Ha,yaar...maine usske sath bohat bura kiya hain.ab mujhe usske liye kuch karna hain!

Viren to himself 'yeh samajh ne mein tu ne bohat der kar di hain,Virat!'

Virat: Chup kyun hain?aur aaj Manvi aayegi ya nahi?

Viren: Pata nahi yaar..aana toh chahiye tha...sayad traffic mein phas geyi hogi...

Everybody was enjoying.Virat met their old friends after a long time but all his attention was on her.Where was she?...The party ended but Manvi didn't come.He was feeling so low.He thought to himself 'aaj maine sirf ek party mein,kuch ghante usska intezar kiya aur ussne 7 years tak bina kisi hope ke mera intezar kiya ...pata nahi main usske layaq hoon bhi ya nahi!aur woh mujhe aapnayegi bhi ya nahi...!'

Virat came home.He called Manvi many times but she didn't answer.Maybe she was sleeping.He messaged her if she saw the missed calls,then call back.He spent the whole night waiting...Next morning,his phone rang.He got up at once & received it.It was her.

Manvi: Hello,Virat tumne mujhe kaal call kiya tha?

Virat: Ha,woh kaal reunion party mein tum aayi nahi?

Manvi: Actually main thodi si busy thi so time nahi mila...

Virat: Manvi aaj bhi kya tum busy ho?

Manvi: Thodi toh hoon..par kyun?

Virat: Kya tum aaj sun set se pehle mujhe uss hi beach pe mil sakti ho jaha hum uss din geye the?

Manvi: I'll try Virat...

In her voice there was no excitement.Maybe she did not know about the change in him.He didn't loose hope.He thought it would be better to meet her alone.In the party it would have been too much clumsy or out of place but the beach would be perfect.It was her favourite place & there would be only them,nobody to interfere. He was getting ready this time with full zest.Maybe he would never get such an opportunity again.He could not let it go in vain.No matter what may come,he would tell her.If she got angry or rude,he would pacify her with his love. He knew that he had it.It was his time to do for her & himself.

Virat wanted everything to be perfect but he hardly had any experience.Once he had tried but it had not worked.That was also many years ago.This time it should be more than perfect.He got confused.He decided to ask Viren's help.

Virat: yaar teri help chahiye!

Viren: Ha bol...kis bare mein?

Virat: Kya hain na aaj main Manvi ko aapne dil ki baat batana chahta hoon...

Viren: It's great yaar!Finally it will happen...main kya kar sakta hoon?

Virat: Actually mera in sab baaton mein experience toh tu janta hi hain...so agar tu thoda guide kar deta!

Viren: Kyun nahi...neki aur puchh puchh!!!

They planned their first date.It was nothing heavy.Virat was about to give Manvi a ring this time,not the chain.But he had a plan to give it to her later as Vidhi also had a share.He also decided to give her flowers,not red but white roses.They were her favourite...Everything was ready.It was his turn to get ready.He wore a simple white shirt(full sleeves) with blue jeans.He came to the beach with the gifts & waited for her.He actually came too early.There was time for sun set.It became more difficult for him to wait.

Soon it was about to sun set.Virat felt someone's hand on his shoulder.He turned around.She was looking like the most beautiful woman on the earth.She was wearing a white salwar kurta.

Virat: Itna der kar diya!

Manvi: Sorry Virat!actually bohat traffic tha.

Virat: It's okay...tum sahi waqt pe aayi ho.tumhe yaad hain na Manvi uss din tumne kaha tha ke sun set se hume hope milta hain.Toh main bhi aaj ek hope ke sath yahan aaya hoon.

Manvi: Kaisi hope?

Virat: Yeh hi hope ki tum mujhe maaf kar dogi...karogi na?

Manvi: Par kis liye?

Virat: Tumhe itna satane ke liye,tumhara dil dukhane ke liye...

Manvi: Itni si baat,thik hain tumhe maaf kiya...bas itna hi kehna tha?

Virat: nahi woh actually...I...

Suddenly his phone rang.He saw Viren's name on the screen.He looked up & got shocked.Manvi was not there!Where did she go within such a short time?Was she really there?He searched for her but couldn't find her.He was dreaming!It was so filmy that he laughed at himself.He received Viren's call.

Viren: Hello,main kabab mein haddi toh nahi baan raha hoon na?

Virat: Nahi yaar...abhi kabab kaha baan paya hain!

Viren: Matlab?Manvi aayi nahi?

Virat: Nahi yaar...abhi bhi wait hi kar raha hoon.

Viren: Tu hosla rakh.woh aa jayegi...

Virat: Ha,yaar.

Viren: Dekh jo bhi ho mujhe update karte rehna!

Virat waited for her.The sun was setting.He badly wanted her to come.He watched the sun set.She had said that it gives hope.But with this sun set his hopes were also setting...He waited for her till night but she didn't come.Finally he made up his mind to go home.He called her many times but she didn't receive.He lost all his hopes.He this time didn't misunderstood her.He just felt that he got what he deserved.She did not want him back.It was fair also.The way he had hurt her & made her lead an unexpected life,he deserved it.She did the right thing.If she had done something like this,he also would not be able to forgive her.He had no complains against her.He decided to leave next day as his seven days were finished.Maybe he expected too much for now.

He was about to enter the airport.Viren called him.

Viren: Virat,tu kaha hain?

Virat: Air port pe yaar.

Viren: Kyun?

Virat: bhul geya na!aaj main ja raha hoon.

Viren: Dekh yaar,asia maat kar.plz mujhe kuch kehna hain!

Virat: Manvi ke bare mein?Agar tujhe Manvi ke bare mein kehna hain toh koyi jarurat nahi hain.Maine usse galat nahi samjha hain...I respect her decision!

Viren: Plz yaar,abhi mujhe jaruri kuch kehna hain!

After their conversation Virat left the air port hurriedly.
