I third (fourth? fifth? nth!) the point about MIDs. That should be top priority now. The fan arguments are basically where half the fun of the forum is 😆

True. But agree somethings best to deal on own and bigger things to be worked on. And to have discussions dynamics have to be there.

I think instead of cracking down on MIDs by banning what they can do is, below the user id they can display the list of other IDs that the member holds for all to see. And when a warning is issued to one ID it automatically gets applied for all the other IDs.
That will take care of a lot of confusion.

And another thing whenever a newbie arrives people just assume they are one, I mean thst makes it very unwelcoming and like they have to prove they are not.

Oh ok...so I guess I know what is your surname.I have friends who are twins and they are called Soumyajeet and Sourojeet...so thought both are first names.

Yup that is a very sad development that IF has seen in the past couple of years. Sometimes the suspicions are true and sometimes not. I don't know what purpose it serves by accusing every other ID as MID. What matters is whether the member, MID or otherwise, is causing disruption or contributing positively.

The major issue related to the MID's is the abusive PMs. I-F shld set up a system so that the MIDs have restricted access until they post a set number of posts.

MIDs are created for the sole purpose of abusing members. For the past 3-4 years members have been constantly harassed by an Ash fan who sends out PMs to members who utter anything slightly negative abt the Bachchans. The PMs have the most expletive and abusive language.

They PMs have reduced now compared to before but still the problem exists. They need do something so that these MIDs have restricted access.
