I agree with ya...(i am a hard core VM fan btw :P) M not a J hater, and I understand her pov too..I know(atleast m hoping) she will truly support VirMan when she will realise the true depth of love that Virat has for Manvi. She will, i am sure. Once she realizes our Viru uncle is perfect for her mannu, she will be the first one to get their marriage fixed. 😉 But like I said, Virat has to prove his love.
though m slightlyyy disappointed cause i had expected her to be a good bhabhi too,but yes,she is a mother cum elder sister first.. Hopefully she would be a better one in future. But as I understand it, i think Jeevika's principles and duties fly out of the window when her behna comes into the picture.
For me,the most ideal scenario would have been Jeevika trying to measure the depth of Virat's love for Manvi, instead of trying to 'separate' VM directly. though Viraat is no stranger to her,he might be irresponsible but he is a nice and genuine guy,who has family values..If you find a good guy for your sister, esp the one who's already related to you,you will try to see if he's a good choice or not, instead of rejecting him straightforward..AS in,give him a chance to prove himself instead of rejecting the idea of their relationship so bluntly...anyways, i dont really mind it as even if she doesnt give him a chance directly, unknowingy she is...cause now Viraat will prove himself on his own... Jeeman bond has many layers and depth, its not a total maternal bond either. It is unhealthy, bordering on obssesive sometimes. I agree ideally any mother would do that. But Jeevika has insecurities as well, that commonly a mother wouldnt have. Virman getting together may mean priority change for manvi. Virat may, as Jeevika has subconsciously realized, may become the first priority in manvi's life. And she is afraid of that, though i dont think she has a reason to worry. And once she realizes that and comes to terms with the fact that Virat really loves her, she will whole heartedly accept virat, and like you mentioned, perhaps be a better Bhabhi.
Also,i dont like the reason given for it,ie.,for the harmony in two families..but then, from the starting, her character has been shown to obey the authorities(only Swamini,in this case)Oh on that I disagree. Jeevika is trying to protect mannu from swamini's wrath. According to her, manvi is being made the scapegoat when she hasnt really done anything. And Jeevika wont have that. Her sister has already been on the receiving end of swamini's anger and resentment too many times and now again when Manvi hasnt done anything? She wont defy bua, because thats just how J is, but will instead definitely try to keep Manvi as far from swamini's bad books. That is like you said one reason, but I dont think its the main reason. Bua or not Bua, she will still be hesitant for Virman to get together. Yes, She is presently masking it behind family honour and all that but I really think, its mostly just her insecurities and overpossesiveness.
So all in all,she is also flawed like others. This step of hers has its pros and cons both..She is right in some ways and wrong in other ways. :)
And I for one, dont hate/dislike her for this.. Thank you for understanding. I agree Jeevika is not right but nor is she wholly wrong either.
Viren had to gain respect in manvi's eyes as well before she finally accepted him as her jiju. He proved that he loved jeevika
ya now its virats turn to prove himself not only to jeevika but to everyone

jeevika is not a villian. she always treated maanvi as her child and so maanvi will always remain a child for her. jeevika is just protecting her. she is doing all this coz she don't want anyone to blame maanvi for virat maya break up...especially swamini bua..i think she won't be having any problem with virat maanvi relation if that maya incident hadn't took place...i love jeevika and viren and excited for virika scenes after accident..

I think it has more to do with the fact that Swamini is constantly on Jeevika's back and constantly spewing bs about Manvi in front of her own sister that Jeevika has no choice but to keep Virat away. Who wants to hear such things about their own sister from their sasural. Jeevika has been shown to be the weakest character but that is only because she is not as outward as Manvi. Jeevika has great inner strength. I agree. Jeevika is capable of taking a stand, when the time is right. But I would still say, she's the weakest out of the 4. Now onto the maya and swamini fiasco, i still think most of jeevika's hesitancy of virman relationship stems from her insecurities and overpossesiveness. If i may just point out, even before the whole maya fiasco, during the time manvi was in swamini's good books, jeevika was hesitant and dissaproving about viman when viren commented on their growing closeness. The swamini factor is definitely a reason, but I think maya, or no maya; swamini, or no swamini, jeevika still would have been against the relatonship for some time. Ofcourse the time taken for her to accept virman would have been half the time it would take now, now since the family is involved as well, it would still be there.
CVs have butchered Jeevika's character but they can still redeem her. I agree. There are still hopes of redeeming her character, especially during the cancer track. I do hope they bring out the stronger side of jeevika, who would stand by her sister and help her recover, instead of crying all day long or threatening God. (they have already made Beeji do that. I honestly wouldnt be able to stand it if they show J doing the same thing) I agree with you Priya. Jeevika just needs to know that Manvi also loves Virat (whenever she realizes her feelings Jeevika will know) and that Virat's love is true. She will become cupid and support them. Frankly, it's nice to see Virat working hard for something for a change, he is slowly getting back into character, he was the guy who always fought for the right thing but that trait of his got lost in the middle. Right now Manvi is what's right and he is fighting. Yes. It is. Virat has to fight. He has to prove himself and his love.i dont know what cv's did with his character in the middle. His whole rational resoning and intelligence was chucked out of the window. He should have been shown atleast being suspicious about Maya and Manvi. Anyways, it will definitely be nice to watch him back on track and fighting for manvi. J's accident is one golden chance for both J and V to redeem themselves.Hope cv's wont dissapoint us.
