Heya guys; some of you may know me, other won't - just one of those weird quirks of fate :L
What I, and everyone else on the forum, or who use FB have noticed is just the state of disunity in this magnificent spectrum which we call the internet. Okay, this is coming from a FAN; I don't want to be labelled as a fan of a particular group, because I'm not; or at least, I personally don't think it. Yes I like the show, and yes I like writing so whenever I find a bit of inspiration, I write. And my neutrality can actually be seen by my scope of writing - VirMan, VirIka, bhabhi-devhar, jeeju-saali etc.
I'm not really writing this post to justify the anxiety of a certain group or defend the anger of another, but to see in the long run what is most important; which is the relationships in the show. By relationships I mean the bro's, the sister's, mother-son, grandparent-grandchildren, uncle/aunt-niece/nephew. I've always favoured the Chaudhary's over the Vadhera's a bit more, just because the CVs have shown a bit more depth to their relationships and that is what makes Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hain what it is.
I have no problem with the couples; I adore them, you have the two contrasted types of love - before marriage (modern style) and after marriage (traditional style), both of which have been and are (currently) being portrayed beautifully by the actors. I just wish people would stop comparing both couples, they're both unique and important! No offence to anyone, but just scanning through the official FB page has become a somewhat form of trivia for both me and others as it's gone to the stage that there's not much that can be done other than laugh.
Rather than listening to individual fan groups, don't you guys think it'll be better in terms of progression for the story for the CVs to invest time and space into the too understated relationships in the show. Have the couples in the show, but Viren is sooo much more than a husband, Jeevika is more than a wife, and Virat is more than just a Chep. Out of all four leads, the only character who has had relationships looked at in depth is actually Manvi. We've seen the bonding between niece and uncle, great grandmother and grandmother with granddaughter, aunty and niece, and probably the most endearing: brother and sister.
Would it kill the CVs to do this with the others. I'm not gonna even bother mention the behna's because if I do, then I will just go on and on and on about whatever the hell the CVs are doing with that. The secrecy, the ghajinism, the deteriorating love from the early days, yadda yadda yadda. For a while, I thought the CVs were going somewhere with the brothers; the undying sense of loyalty between Virat and Viren, to the unspoken extent of their love all broken down with a sixty second scene where Virat went against everything the CVs had built his character up to believe. I mean really? This is the brother who you would give your life for, no questions asked - now you're against him because of Maya...
That really irked me because I really loved the brothers; was there a need to shoot down that relationship like that? When the whole Jeevika/Manvi kicking out the house debacle occurred, both sides could be argued for - was Jeevika too harsh, or was it justified? The question mark placed on the behna's relationship still lingers, with even more fuel to the fire thanks to the newish promo. The scene of Virat going against Viren completely obliterated the brother's relationship for me; I'll never see it the same way - thank you CVs for ruining the great things in the show just for a push on TRPs, great :|
There are sooo many characters in the show that need to be explored. For instance Inder; after the whole confidence case, what's left of him? A background character randomly chiding in every now and again when the Vadhera's need a tenth opinion on Maya or Maya's food. What the heck happened to Khadhamberi and Shlock? Khadambheri and Inder both have huge insecurities which are yet to be alleviated; is it compulsory for CVs to downgrade inactive characters to comedy generators...
The one that really annoys me is Vanshika. We've seen glimpses every now and again of her potential; for example when Virat was upset after the Mehendi ceremony, she consoled him; when Viren needed advice, he went to Vanshika. What is she? Just a piece of furniture that's old and worn down by the years of abuse from the Vadhera's. There is sooo much the CVs could do with her, but they don't and why not? Only God knows that...
The tracks themselves are just shaping up terribly, so I don't really have any specific hopes from the cancer tracks. If the CVs couldn't properly deal with the last million and one tracks that have been shown, I feel a sense of foreboding with this one. We have to admit the Maya track was terrible - it didn't have much if at all character development, except for the kickstart of VirMan LS, which in my opinion, could have been done much better, but I'm guessing everyone's just elated that it has started. Oh yeah, whatever the hell happened to the Viren-Jaiswal track?
Please CVs, look at the grand scale of things and see what's really important. It isn't the couples, far from that; it's the distinct and different relationships between everyone which includes the relationships between Viren and Jeevika, and Virat and Manvi. So yeah in short, hope I didn't offend anyone - If I did I am truly sorry; VirManians I am actually over the moon right now that the VirMan relationship is moving forward: VirIkians, I understand your frustration with the lack of a proper track, but come on guys, can't we all just be civil without bringing in TRPs or specific foregone tracks or even lack of acting skills (:S)
Anyways, peace out people =]
