Heya guys; some of you may know me, other won't - just one of those weird quirks of fate :L

What I, and everyone else on the forum, or who use FB have noticed is just the state of disunity in this magnificent spectrum which we call the internet. Okay, this is coming from a FAN; I don't want to be labelled as a fan of a particular group, because I'm not; or at least, I personally don't think it. Yes I like the show, and yes I like writing so whenever I find a bit of inspiration, I write. And my neutrality can actually be seen by my scope of writing - VirMan, VirIka, bhabhi-devhar, jeeju-saali etc.

I'm not really writing this post to justify the anxiety of a certain group or defend the anger of another, but to see in the long run what is most important; which is the relationships in the show. By relationships I mean the bro's, the sister's, mother-son, grandparent-grandchildren, uncle/aunt-niece/nephew. I've always favoured the Chaudhary's over the Vadhera's a bit more, just because the CVs have shown a bit more depth to their relationships and that is what makes Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hain what it is.

I have no problem with the couples; I adore them, you have the two contrasted types of love - before marriage (modern style) and after marriage (traditional style), both of which have been and are (currently) being portrayed beautifully by the actors. I just wish people would stop comparing both couples, they're both unique and important! No offence to anyone, but just scanning through the official FB page has become a somewhat form of trivia for both me and others as it's gone to the stage that there's not much that can be done other than laugh.

Rather than listening to individual fan groups, don't you guys think it'll be better in terms of progression for the story for the CVs to invest time and space into the too understated relationships in the show. Have the couples in the show, but Viren is sooo much more than a husband, Jeevika is more than a wife, and Virat is more than just a Chep. Out of all four leads, the only character who has had relationships looked at in depth is actually Manvi. We've seen the bonding between niece and uncle, great grandmother and grandmother with granddaughter, aunty and niece, and probably the most endearing: brother and sister.

Would it kill the CVs to do this with the others. I'm not gonna even bother mention the behna's because if I do, then I will just go on and on and on about whatever the hell the CVs are doing with that. The secrecy, the ghajinism, the deteriorating love from the early days, yadda yadda yadda. For a while, I thought the CVs were going somewhere with the brothers; the undying sense of loyalty between Virat and Viren, to the unspoken extent of their love all broken down with a sixty second scene where Virat went against everything the CVs had built his character up to believe. I mean really? This is the brother who you would give your life for, no questions asked - now you're against him because of Maya...

That really irked me because I really loved the brothers; was there a need to shoot down that relationship like that? When the whole Jeevika/Manvi kicking out the house debacle occurred, both sides could be argued for - was Jeevika too harsh, or was it justified? The question mark placed on the behna's relationship still lingers, with even more fuel to the fire thanks to the newish promo. The scene of Virat going against Viren completely obliterated the brother's relationship for me; I'll never see it the same way - thank you CVs for ruining the great things in the show just for a push on TRPs, great :|

There are sooo many characters in the show that need to be explored. For instance Inder; after the whole confidence case, what's left of him? A background character randomly chiding in every now and again when the Vadhera's need a tenth opinion on Maya or Maya's food. What the heck happened to Khadhamberi and Shlock? Khadambheri and Inder both have huge insecurities which are yet to be alleviated; is it compulsory for CVs to downgrade inactive characters to comedy generators...

The one that really annoys me is Vanshika. We've seen glimpses every now and again of her potential; for example when Virat was upset after the Mehendi ceremony, she consoled him; when Viren needed advice, he went to Vanshika. What is she? Just a piece of furniture that's old and worn down by the years of abuse from the Vadhera's. There is sooo much the CVs could do with her, but they don't and why not? Only God knows that...

The tracks themselves are just shaping up terribly, so I don't really have any specific hopes from the cancer tracks. If the CVs couldn't properly deal with the last million and one tracks that have been shown, I feel a sense of foreboding with this one. We have to admit the Maya track was terrible - it didn't have much if at all character development, except for the kickstart of VirMan LS, which in my opinion, could have been done much better, but I'm guessing everyone's just elated that it has started. Oh yeah, whatever the hell happened to the Viren-Jaiswal track?

Please CVs, look at the grand scale of things and see what's really important. It isn't the couples, far from that; it's the distinct and different relationships between everyone which includes the relationships between Viren and Jeevika, and Virat and Manvi. So yeah in short, hope I didn't offend anyone - If I did I am truly sorry; VirManians I am actually over the moon right now that the VirMan relationship is moving forward: VirIkians, I understand your frustration with the lack of a proper track, but come on guys, can't we all just be civil without bringing in TRPs or specific foregone tracks or even lack of acting skills (:S)

Anyways, peace out people =]

Very well said, but I think it was kind of expected...especially the blunder of the characters since the CVs changed and they made a lot of bull...like the part where Virat goes bollywood style to Maanvi - completely out of character...though I do wish that not only the side characters, but also more depth would be given to Jeevika, Viren and a tad bit to Virat-though we see him alot these days...

too many tracks, not enough time...what do you expect from a 30 min daily soap?
A lot of these tracks have tons of potential and I agree, that it would be great to see side tracks be expanded, such as Inderchachu and Kadambari, Vanshika...etc.. but we're even having a hard time progressing the main leads and their story lines (people have already started complaining about the decrease Virika scenes), I can't imagine how SLOW the pace of the show would be if we focused on every single character and every single track...

firstly ur post has a very calm language...!!
u indeed must be a person with a very high level of patience!

Well the show did hv an initial charm to it….noone felt at tht point as dragging…Neither Virmans nor virikians…the whole Rishikesh feel to it….and even in chandigarh…the show always managed to capture the right moments…!

Virika first meet….Virman first meet…the rickshaw ride…the behnas scenes on the ghat…the bros playing snooker…Swamini viren scenes…..Vanshika Virat scenes….Manvi badi beeji scenes….Chachi Virat fun scenes….Chachu and Viren scene (after chachu loses the case)…all these hv been shown in the same show of 30 mins…nd everyone has appreciated them…The entire week din go focusing on one couple or track but…on the entire Vadheras and Chaudharys…!!

I am a hardcore Virika fan…and its not virman tht frustrate me…but how virman fans behave….and it's the same for Virmans…who get frustrated with how virika fans behave…!! (I am not excluding myself frm it….ye swe all mk post which frustrates the other..!!)

TRPs…are not generated by a couple…else IPKKND, Geet, DMG would be leading the trps with the huge fan following the lead couples have.

But just to get the other down…we all include ourselves in it…and then there we LOSE IT..!!

One thing is for sure tht this show cn never get its initial charm bk…But atleast the CVs of the show cn work and get us sensible tracks…justifying the characteristics of each character atleast!

Great post and you articulate my own thoughts very nicely.
I have to agree that for the viewer to relate to everyone and keep them invested in the story, we need everyone's POV. That way we can have something balanced and root for each of them.

PROPS to you Sabeeha for posting such an amazing topic- well addressed and well phrased!!!! I have also mentioned similar thing in my posts that all relationships and couples make EHMMBH what it is!!!!! People have taken this VIRIKA vs VIRMAN thing way too far; I only log on fb to post my OS or SS links upon request of people from "Virikians Adda", but I completely refrain myself from engaging in any kind of discussion- which is what I think it is but really is not the case when you read it carefully! I have only skimmed through some of the posts on EHMMBH fb page and wow it just left me speechless! We, as fans, also critique the show and performances etc but people on facebook are merely bashing and pointing fingers at each other and at actors/couples!! I think one of the problem is the age of the users- way TOO many kids there!! Yes they have opinions but very strong ones- they take everything so seriously; just baffles me at times!

Coming to your main point- I agree with everything you said; each character has made his or her own mark in the show- they are unique- one cannot go on comparing them! HIGH FIVE for pointing out that Virat & Viren's tiff over Maya- I wrote the same thing in one of my posts like WTH- Virat's character was so inconsistent to what he was originally slated to be during that whole so called intense track with of his old love Maya!!!! Clearly that brotherly bonding took a hike!!!

Like you mentioned, other characters are being sidelined- okay Inder chachu won ONE case- so what now? Is he on Dada Ji's good books forever now or are we gonna see him mess up once again and watch Dada Ji back with his taunts?! He regained ALL of his confidence just from that ONE push of love and support from Manvi and others?! Yea again like you mentioned Kadambari and Inder's insecurities are still there- that one win of the case did not eradicate all of those feelings! One thing I did commend Inder was for saying NO to party upon his win on the case- otherwise it would have been pretty lame to see him partying with those who did not believe in him and suddenly were going gaga over his success- Dada Ji claiming him to be his son and all!!! But where is all of that now- Inder needs to maintain that consistency and pave his own way- that ONE case simply is not it!!!

VANSHIKA- Dear god, this is probably my 100th time mentioning this that CVS need to show that she has some value and importance as a mother to Virat and Viren and as a member of the family!!!!! All of that credit is being showered upon our dear swamini bhua?!!! With Viren it was given that he is more closer to her than his mom BUT whats with Virat?! Did see that one small scene where Vanshika was talking to Jeevika narrating that she is accepting Maya for Virat's happiness only- ok what now?! No reaction shown of hers after Virat and Maya's breakup- why?! Seeing her and Manvi's good rapport, I was expecting Virat to divulge his feelings with her and it would have been interesting to see her take on it- but NO again swamini bhua comes along and takes the lime light away from her!!! Since day 1- I have so much hope from Vanshika's character- that today it would do something to validate her importance in the household rather than mere presence!!! Along those lines- CVs also need to show history of Viren's dad and his death- and the kind of relationship he had with Dada Ji and others in the family!!!

Viren and Jaiswal track- have no words!!!! So many untied strings!!! Track shuru karke pata nahi so jaate hain kahin jakar, dunno!!! These are the issues that have not faced the limelight yet but can we really complain about these when the MAIN track or more so IMPORTANT track is yet to start- accident track and cancer revelation track- anytime now, just MAYBE?!

OHH and to add on :

Need to know miss know it all- swamini bhua's history as well- wth is she doing sitting at home- Inder did mention something about her choosing a guy over her family back in the day but I need more than that! And if that is the case, how come mr.rule book- Dada Ji bent his rules for her and allowed her to come back in the family? And amongst all this, I understand Dada Ji's biased treatment with Inder due to lack of his career success but what is wrong with Swamini- atleast as a sister she should have stood up for her brother and even cajole Dada Ji into giving Inder a chance to prove himself!!! They need to develop on those relationships as well!!!

Trust me, many of us have continuously voiced these things. We have said exactly what you have stated but remember most of the show's watchers do not have a voice and many of us are not on the fb group because of these things. I hate being labelled myself but people just automatically divide you.

Thing is, this show has deviated from the main plot. The parallel tracks are very important and are needed but not at the expense of the main story. I myself have my favourites but the others I still appreciate because they are all required for the story. Cvs should have stuck to their original story because it did not downplay any of the relationships in fact it showcased so many different relationships and that is what I fell in love with.

This show was character based and relationship based and everyone had such great chemistry with each other but now the supporting cast is sidelined. We don't see Inder, dadaji, Kadambari, Vanshika etc. I loved all the characters and their relationships between each other but because of the fights that happened in the main fb group cvs had no choice. I hope cvs realize soon that there is great potential in the original story they had in mind because it was truly beautiful.

Sabeeha this is a very well written and articulated post. All the points that you make are valid and I wish that makers of EHMBH could read this post. Unfortunately, I am low on time but I shall return with my $.02 soon not that this post needs it because I agree with everything you have said here.

I am glad to see there are fans of EHMBH and not just the couples,
