I think that the decision of giving short updates daily is good idea...before reading today's update...I have to scan my diary for its storyline...I maintain a diary where I have noted all Maaneet FFs with their id nos. and short summary of the story...so it becomes eay for me to understand the storyline before reading update...

Part 18

Maan wakes up and goes to get ready without even giving a look to Geet... He knew she would get worried seeing him like this... But he had to sort it out on his own... He was all lost during the breakfast... Geet notices his nervousness and thinks its regarding the meeting today... She decides to accompany him to the college rather than going to school today...

Geet (to herself): I have to accompany Maan today... Kya karoon..??? Koi mujhe school bunk nahi karne dega... Maa, Daadi ma and even Maan are very particular about going to school... Kya karoon??? Kya karoon??? Ideaaa...!!!!

Geet: Bye maa... Bye daadima.. Bye Maan... All the best for today... I am off to school... See ya in the afternoon...

Geet (whispering to Maan): Don't worry... Everything will be alright... I will as always be there with u...

Maan looks at her and smiles... But just then he re-thinks over his words...

Maan (to himself): What does she mean by this??? Is something going on in her mind??? Anyways I'll think about her later... I gotta go to the college now...

He bids goodbye to Daadima and Rano and leaves for college when suddenly he gets a call from an unknown number... A lady answers that call on the other side...

Maan: Hello...

Lady: Hello... M I talking to Maan Singh Khurana?

Maan: Yeah... May I know who is calling??? And how may I help u???

Lady: This is Shivani here... Do u know Geet Handa???

Maan: Yeah... She is my friend... But y are u asking about her???

Lady: Actually she just fell down from the bus at the bus stop and is badly hurt... I am her teacher... She asked me to call you so that you can take her back home... Can you come and pick her up???

Maan (panics a little): Ma'am is she badly hurt??? I mean is she fine??? I'll just come over... Can you all wait for just five minutes... I am already on my way to her bus stop...

Lady: Its alright... We'll wait... She has just hurt her ankle but seems to be fine otherwise... Come as soon as possible... Take her to the doctor then...

Maan: Yes ma'am... I am almost there...

He comes and sees Geet in tears... He thanks the teacher for informing him and then the bus leaves for school...

Maan (worriedly): Geet, tum dekh kar nahi chal sakti ho kya??? Bahut dard ho raha hai na??? I'll just take u to the doctor...

Geet: Maan... Maan... Maan... Meri baat suno...

Maan: Nahi Geet... Bahut dard ho raha hoga na... We'll just go to the doctor and get the X-ray done... Can u walk a little???

Geet: Maan suno to meri baat...

Maan: Main bhi kaisi baatein kar raha hoon... How can u walk when u r hurt so much... Wait... I will pick u up...

Geet (almost shouts): Maan stop panicking... I am fine... Wo u had to go to the college naa...

Maan: Geet that is not important now... First we'll go to the doctor and then we'll go back home...

Geet: Maan please stop panicking... I am fine... (Holds his face in her hands)... Maan see I am fine... Listen to me... We'll go to the college first and then go back home...

Maan: Nahi... We are going to the doctor first because u r hurt...

Geet (starts walking): See Maan I am fine... I can walk too... We have to go to the college first... Lets go... Chalo... Lets not waste time...

She tries walking properly but her leg pains a little... She knows Maan won't agree to her but then she has to do it for him... She planned to fake a fall but then hurt herself a little... But its fine as far as she is going with Maan...

Maan: See Geet... This is...

Geet: Maan Singh Khurana... Will u at once listen to me... Look u dare argue this time... (pointing her finger at him)... Lets go... We are getting late...

Maan was very upset but had to listen to her... He wont listen to anyone else but he knew he cant deny Geet his mishti anything...

They reach the college and then go to the concerned office... Maan continues to tell Geet to wait for him but she is adamant to follow him everywhere... Its outside the principal's office that she agrees to wait outside while he goes to talk inside... She sits on the benches outside... Maan goes inside to talk to the principal...
