And now i have no doudt that nupur's father is the best father in this world...Loved how he tackled the whole situation without making mayank nervous or unexpected in his daughter's life..Also he assured himself that he is a right choice for his daughter...

I am just going to bow down to both of you.. from the kiss ka kissa to the date to the father-daughter convo to the talk between Mayank and Mr. Bhushan.. you girls have just bought the practicality in this relationship so beautifully... and I don't know what else to write...

loved the conversation between mayank and nupur's dad...i shouldve expected that with you guys, i shouldnt worry about the typical problems written about in stories 😆...kind of curious to know what mayank meant at the end though 🤔...nice update though and its nice to see that mayank does see nupur in his future😊

Chapter # 28

Nupur's state was as dreamy as it could get and she was basking in the new emotions love initiated in her heart.. her father's approval, along with the hours they spent together, the morning and good night calls that became mandatory, and the heated kisses that portrayed the passion they felt for each other, but a week later when Gunjan came over at her house for the night, she was quick to notice something amiss..
Gunjan : (sitting beside her and hugging Nupur softly) " kya hua hai tmen?"
Nupur hugged her properly and smiled reassuringly, " mujhe kya hona hai?"
Gunjan: "Nupur! I am your best friend and I know when you are restless.. and you are restless tonight!"
Nupur : (placing her head on Gunjan's shoulder) kuch nahe hua Gunjan.. sachi.. I guess am just waiting for his goodnight message.."
Gunjan: " oye hoye to baat asal mein ye hai?"
Nupur nodded her head and turned pink, hoping in her heart that this was indeed the reason for her restlessness..
However it didn't turn out so,,, half an hour later mayank called to say goodnight and winking at Nupur, Gunjan left the room until they talk..

Mayank: " hey beautiful.."
Nupur smiled at the endearment and tried to get into the normal mood and call him *handsome* as she normally does, but something was surely amiss tonight.. "hello mayank!"
Mayank: (chuckling) "what u already don't think am handsome anymore?"
Nupur : " what were u doing?"
She didn't answer him but Mayank wasn't the sort of man to worry about such little details.. and thus for the first time, they faced *pauses* in their conversation.. something was definitely wrong and Nupur was trying to find what exactly was ruining one of the most awaited moments of her day- his goodnight call..
Mayank: " princess are u okay?"
It seemed finally her mood had transferred to him but well what could she tell him?
Nupur: " errmm.. hmmm' I think so'"
Instantly alert, Mayank asked sharply, " is something bothering u? about us?"
Nupur sighed and taking a deep breath replied, "it could be Mayank.. and it could be nothing.. m just feeling a little restless tonight'"
Mayank: "are u sure? And where is ur bestfriend anyways? U mentioned her coming for the sleepover.."
Nupur: " she is here' errrmm' what r u doing mayank?"
Mayank: " I m just calling u to wish goodnight and then I have to study.. I have an exam tomorrow.."
Nupur: " errrmm.."
Mayank: " Nupur? why r we doing this princess? I mean if u are occupied we can just end the call and get back to our works!"
Nupur suddenly felt a feeling of hurt surge through her and trying to hide it, she replied, " sure .. best of luck for ur exam and.. goodnight'"
Mayank: " goodnight princess'" was all he said before disconnecting the call..

"ahem ahem! Mein ander aa jaon ya abhe *kids not allowed*?"
Nupur heard the teasing tone and instead of grinning as she usually would have done, she simply sat on her bed looking at a blank spot infront of her'
Sensing the restlessness take over her best friend again, Gunjan sat beside Nupur and placing her hand overs hers asked, " kya hua princess? What is bothering u so much?"
Nupur tried to smile but failed miserably, "I don't know.. but something is bothering me yes'"
Gunjan: " awww.. tmen pata hai tm kitne cute ho princess?" and with this Gunjan softly hugged her bestfriend and softly rubbed her back.. Gunjan didn't know what the problem was, but she was sure about two things, firstly, it was related to mayank somehow and secondly that in a few minutes her princess will tell her the problem herself..
Both the intuitions proved right when Gunjan realized Nupur was sobbing softly.. still hugging her friend, Gunjan asked, " is it about Mayank?"
Nupur moved away and looked up at Gunjan'

"why does he never hug me Gunjan? He never does that! Or hold my hands reassuringly! Or talk to me randomly! About anything.. why do we share such a weird relationship?"

Gunjan shifted and placed Nupur's head in her lap and softly ran her hand through her head, "Nupur before we think about these things u need to understand, that u and Mayank started as an odd couple.. But somehow fate intervened and things started to sort out.. Firstly Mayank stopped fighting his feelings for u and accepted them, then uncle accepted your relations, but.. that isn't all princess.. now u both have to accept your relationship.. you both have to accept what u are and what r your expectations from each other and for that u both have to talk.. Properly talk about each other' haina princess?"
She held Nupur's hand and although the problem was far from solved yet but Nupur felt her restlessness reduce.. at least she now knew what it was that bothered her so much.. and when she looked up at her best friend, Gunjan knew from the determination in Nupur's eyes that things were going to change. Nupur will make sure they do.
