Whitney lost her voice gradually over the last few years...that's the slow effect of drug abuse on her vocals and her throat.
But I don't think it's a coincidence that she sang this song before she passed. I've heard many times of people knowing on some level that their time was near. Whitney was raised in the church, and her voice and the soul in her voice came from the tradition of the church.
I believe she sang this song because she knew. Maybe she didn't want to fight anymore. I'm not a Christian but I do believe in a higher power and Whitney's voice was a gift, it had the ability to move us in our souls, to cry, to be inspired. She was gifted and I hope she is with her God and will forever now be at peace.

Very true , Spain & RP, Whitney's voice was a gift. It had the intensity, richness, the range she could cover with utmost ease, the power she could pack ... it was a voice anyone would dream for.

RIP Whitney...

Making sense of it all

Whitney is no more,jackson left a few years back and amy winehouse last year.The beautiful thing about life is that god has blessed us all with free will and has granted the spirit to enjoy it.So when the man above has deemed fit to let man and woman do what they will and we respect that,so why the sense of loss or why this slight anger that whitney could have done more and delivered more.

Most of us are special to a few in our family and to a very few of our friends.Honestly only the closest few will even miss you when we go but that is not the point.The point is we all in totality okay the majority of the people on earth miss whitney and people like her who excelled in fields of music,dance and arts.Even if whitney had died at the ripe age of 90 or 100 her loss would have been felt and we would have been talking about her voice and songs.Because very precious few are blessed withe the personal touch of god and sent out to walk the earth,entertain us with their majestic voice,transport us to the proximity of god.Honestly there are some songs which bring tears to my eyes and i feel spiritual when i hear the song play.It could be a pop,rock or just a silly ballad but when combined with a beautiful voice and awesome lyrics it turns magical.

I am not bothered about how whitney died,about the depression she went through,the drug and alcohol addictions she fought but lost,the bad husband and the bad career in the end.But i care about the voice which is no more,which i guess is the closest we can come to being near god.Yes,some people are special and they hypnotise us with their songs and dance.Yet more mere mortal beings are special for the books they give us and the knowledge they spread but that is the truth,they come with a purpose,for a purpose and go back to wherever they come from or to whoever sent them.the only thing sad about them going is the dignity of death but then god who gives them so much proabably reserves the worst for them.look what he did to his own son,we talk about him but yet he was crucified.So life will go on and more amazing singers will come and go.maybe someone who can sing better than whitney and dance better than michael jackson but every single one will remain special and forever leave their mark in history for they were and are special and sent for a special purpose by the god who so lovingly made them.What remains in the end is the voice of whitney and that is for us to treasure,cherish and enjoy until we go on.

But although we mere mortals cannot sing like whitney or dance like jackson we can still love,give and share.for in the end that is god and he is among everything,even us ordinary people.be well.

The stockbroker's secretary answered his phone one morning. "I'm sorry," she said, "Mr. Bradford's on another line."

"This is Mr. Ingram's office," the caller said. "We'd like to know if he's bullish or bearish right now."

"He's talking to his wife," the secretary replied. "Right now I'd say he's sheepish."

We're born alone, we live alone, we die alone. Only through our love and friendship can we create the illusion for the moment that we're not alone."

Tears, Idle Tears

Tears, idle tears, I know not what they mean,
Tears from the depth of some divine despair
Rise in the heart, and gather to the eyes,
In looking on the happy Autumn-fields,
And thinking of the days that are no more.

Fresh as the first beam glittering on a sail,
That brings our friends up from the underworld,
Sad as the last which reddens over one
That sinks with all we love below the verge;
So sad, so fresh, the days that are no more.

Ah, sad and strange as in dark summer dawns
The earliest pipe of half-awakened birds
To dying ears, when unto dying eyes
The casement slowly grows a glimmering square;
So sad, so strange, the days that are no more.

Dear as remembered kisses after death,
And sweet as those by hopeless fancy feigned
On lips that are for others; deep as love,
Deep as first love, and wild with all regret;
O Death in Life, the days that are no more!

MORAL DILEMMA
Today I have a bit of a moral and ethical dilemma for you to ponder...
You are driving along in your car on a wild, stormy night...when you pass by a bus stop, and you see three people waiting for the bus:
1. An old lady who looks like she is about to die.
2. An old friend who once saved your life.
3. The perfect partner you have been dreaming about.
Which one would you choose to offer a ride to, knowing that there could be only one passenger in your car?
Think before you continue reading...
This is a moral/ ethical dilemma that was once used as part of a job application.
You could pick up the old lady, because she is going to die, and thus you should save her first;
Or, you could take your old friend because he once saved your life, and this would be the perfect chance to pay him back. However, you may never be able to find your perfect mate again.
The candidate who was hired (out of 200 applicants) had no trouble coming up with his answer.
He simply answered:
"I would give the car keys to my old friend and let him take the lady to the hospital. I would stay behind and wait for the bus with the partner of my dreams."
Sometimes, we gain more if we are able to give up our stubborn thought limitations.
Never forget to "Think Outside of the Box" - the mind is truly a powerful thing!

There are many ways to define our fragile existence, many ways to give them meaning. But it is our memories that shapes its purpose and give it context. The private collection of images, fears, loves, regrets… we choose the important of each. Building our own unique histories, one memory at a time. Hoping the ones we choose to remember don't betray us or trap us. Forces the cruel irony of life that we are destiny to hold the dark with the light, the good with the evil. This is what separates us, what make us human. And at the end, we must fight to hold on.
