So, Indu and Rishi tie the knot and they are happily married with lot of knok jok between the couples and soon they have a baby girl (Gudi). But, Indu's life is full of miseries and happiness doesn't last for too long, problem with her janam kundli, Rishi goes to US and mets with an accident and he is no more and only his ashes returns back.. This is the twist and Indu is devastated and totally heart broken, she has a small kid to raise and a widow now. Indu has Rishi small business empire to build and she starts living for her daughter away from the rest of Sharmas (who don't care) and Diwans (who hold her responsible for it).

As Indu is slowing getting out of her remorse of her husband's death, there comes a charming man who is actually a friend of Ricky (Beginning of RaMA). Indu hires him and he says I got to know about Ricky, my good friend, but honi ko kaun taal sakth hai ?. He starts caring Gudi a lot and Gudi is very fond of him. He helps Indu in every mode of her life, he gives moral and emotional support to Indu. One day when Indu slips and about to fall, he holds her and says: Main hoon na! aapko kabhi bhi geerne nahi dunga zindagi mei and Indu learns she cares her so much... One day, Indira falls sick and is hospitalized and he takes care of her whole night and Indu starts accepting him for his good deeds as her good friend. Indu totally trust and depends on him on office matters. He trutly loves his boss, but what is her feelings ? will she love him ? does she think Gudi needs a father ?
