Kolangal (06-28-06 Wednesday update)

I am just giving very brief update.

Inspector takes Upendra to a unknown place and starts hitting him asking why he is after Bhaskar and who killed Ranjani. After receiving all the prasadam fm the inspector he tells the truth that Bhaskar wanted to marry Ranjani only for money and when he went to explain it to her, she refused to listen and since I was so upset and wanted to save her from marrying Bhaskar I killed her or else she would be in more trouble. Upendra then tell that he then decided to kill Bhaskar as because of him only he killed Ranjani. But he didn't succeed to kill Bhaskar and u9inspector) came and caught him.

After narrating this story, Upendra smartly took the pistol fm inspector's hand and shot him2-3 times. Upendra then takes his body and tries to burn it. While the body is burning a hand comes and touches Upendra' s shoulder. Upendra turns back and is shocked.
FREEZE.

I think that person who put his hand on Upendra, must be someone from the Minister's group. But it is not nice to hear that Prabhu being killed. I kind of liked that character even though he has less roles. Hmmm..... Rule of thumb when you interrogate - Never have weapons on you.

well dont remember much, here are is the jist of telecast

Abhi goes to ask thuls why he needed 3 lakh rupees & how come he cannot share that info with her, thuls refuses to divelge more on that issue, abhi leaves saying she will not ask him anymore till he comes to her to speak about it. shanthi is also suspicious now. thuls is arranging for borrowing 3 lakhs to pay the contractors.

the cop prabhu's house his wife & son are anxious to find out the whereabouts of prabhu

rajesh goes to abhi's house and asks mano why had to take the abuse from abhi, abhi, arti & her mom are shocked to hear this and arti asks mano why cant he be a man, mano's stupid wife anu comes to defend adhi by saying that adhi did not hit mano, giri did, arti retorts and says giri would not do it if adhi did not order it & arivillatha anu butts in and tells arit that it is betweeen her husband & her brother and asks arti not to interfere. arti says it is also an issue between her husband andherself, anu insults arti to look at her pathetc life, (anu is more viscious than adhi) abhi interferes and asks them to go inside, abhi asks mano why did he have to take it from adhi, mano is afrustrated man and leaves

karpagam is concerened about her son, abhi is lost

Wait! They didnt show anything on that Prabhu or that hand that wen on top of Upendra. I am just anxious

Jul 3, 2006 - Monday updt

Minister is talking to Inspector Vishwa (sidebar - he happens to be in iyappan malai pOtta guy - inspector) asking abt the missing Upendra and Prabhu when Adhi walks in and is brought up to speed. This news abt Upendra further tenses him and he wants to finish Abhi off once and for all; but the minister cautions him and tells him let us first find Upendra, then we can hide him and send abhi to jail on ranju's murder case; then it will be easy to finish her off. abhi grudgingly zips his mouth shut; minister then tells vishwa to step up on the proceedings when another AC comes; this time to report to the minister; no Upendra, no prabhu; minister shouts some more and asks them to step the investigation up;

Arthi is at the local coffee house (where else? shanthis and thols place) and all 3 are chatting abt abhi's office and the state of it; shanthi relates what happened and how folks are upset for thols using 3 lakhs and things have changed so much. Arthi shows surprise, ada idhellaam kooda nadandhirukkaa? look..then Shanthi asks how Arthi's quest for a new job is; Arthi says she tried out for some time at Abhi's and now is still looking and Thols says even he has put out some feelers. now Ms.Folgers comes up with a great idea - why can't Arthi work for abhi constructions? and flash! thols likes the idea and says why not? when there are folks out there who came in to work with the main idea of destroying abhi, why can't Arthi, who has only abhi's good in her heart? and also, if Thols says something supporting Abhi, the people suspect his good intentions and question his relationship whereas Arthi is kith and kin to Abhi. Arthi is reluctant but Thols has made up his mind.

Pirabhu's wife is sad and some guy comes to her house and leaves. Following that, Vishwa comes in a police jeep and threaten her that she is aiding and abetting her at-large husband with his captive murderer and warns her to tell her husband to come out in the open. She says, (oru jadam maadhiri no emotions at all) ayyO, i myself am looking out for him and even called up the station last night to check his whereabouts. he again warns her and leaves.

now my fav..part. Lakalaka Kala is washing clothes and MIL is rubbing her head and walking towards Rajesh's room. *(they have conveniently forgotten the head of the household; they didn't even show him dead here; i think in the end, they should have one megaserial -maybe we can take one - where these long last folks meet in Varanasi or some place and have their own kashtams in their vaalkai..this dad (but only his aathma will be present; basker's elder sis and husband; basker's one-time athai gandhimathi and her gana-lookalike son; panaimaram husband of shanthi - anguchamy; shivdas and gang;- are they in jail? maybe they will meet yogi from selvi? - come on folks, we have the cast for a new serial)
let me get back to the storyline or something akin to that..

Rajesh comes out and mom asks him to go get some tablets for her headache (poor woman not realizing that her prime headaches are standing before her in two does - rajesh and kala); we see Stepney cutting veggies. Now Mano barges in and huffs and puffs at Rajesh. Rajesh is stumped; Mano says, if I ask you for some money, either you should have given or borrowed it in your name? but no, what did u do? u borrowed it in your bro's name and brought me shame? (now i seriously fault KKK's upbringing; this Mano, or toad is one ungrateful dirt from a lowlife's shoes; first, he told off that nice Rajendran; now he has forgotten all the help Rajesh did. Rajesh is embarassed and Mano says, this Kala, saw Arthi and his mom in the kovil and lit into them for Rajesh giving Mano money. So he says that Rajesh done enough and hands over cash..idhu kooda ivanukku pondaati kodutha vaLai dhaan...next he goes to Kala and tells her that she has done enough and to adakki vaasichufy her words when speaking to his housemates.
Kala shrugs it off; Rajesh comes and censures her and tells her who is she to talk to Arthi abt this? she says unakku arivu irukka? here she is, shunning u and u are bothered abt what she thinks and what her family thinks? unakku dhaan arivE illai. and he says, yes, he knows that she is an arivaaLi and tells his interfering mom that her family if full of arivaaLi's; idhO, inga ivanga veettu innoru arivaaLi nikkudhE, pointing towards stepney and says as far as he is concerned, no one in this house has the right to comment abt arivu since that is a scarce commodity in this house. (romba uNmaiyai dhaan solraan)

abhis office: abhi is in her room, talking to Basker and Ganga and asking him to go over some accounts when Thols walks in; he is slow, (suffering from constipation or diarrhea in real life?) with his jolna pai; he takes out 2 bundles of cash and gives it to Abhi; Abi is miffed that Thols has not offered any explanation and cried on her shoulder; (she is really tired of this office work? enna idhu, yaarum innoru problem kudukka maattEngaraaLE to get out of this office and to work outside, solving that? she is desparately looking for someone's affair to budge her nose into and is furious at thols for making her work)she says, all she needed to know was what thols needed this for and not the money itself; is this the friendship betw them? this earns a turning his face away in disgust act from basker; ganga is contained; thols says he cannot say what he borrowed the money for.

Abhi then says, can't I ask you anything? is that how our relationship is going to be? if so, let it be..she reminds me of a petulant child..then Thols says he has something important to ask her - a favour. abhi asks why r u talking like this? and then thols says Abhi needs to employ someone whom Thols recommends. thols says that person has abhi's interests at heart and will be a good fit: very educated and will be a good addition to this company. Abhi says why ask me? u r also a partner and u have every right to appoint somebody. Then Thols says, it doesn't work that way in this company anymore. I dont want any misunderstandings when giving someone a job, turing towards Basker. Then Thols brings in Arthi. all are surprised. Abhi asks, namma arthiyaa, inga vElaikku? and Thols says yes, she needs this job. she has worked here for a short stint before and now will be an asset. Abhi says fine, we can employ her and Thols turns towards Ganga and asks if Arthi wont' be a good fit here and she mennu muzungufies and says, why not? Abhi instructs Ganga to get the necessary paperwork done and Thols, Arthi and Ganga leave the room. Abhi bends down towards a book in her hands..(no, it is not maalaimadhi or pesumpadam) Basker calls her name and says, I know you are not going to like what I am going to say but I don't think it is prudent to bring relatives to work under one roof; will lead to unnecessary complications and Abhi says, why not? did I not give you work and bring you in? nothing will happen and I will take care of it..paLaar!! nalla adi baskerukku. He mennu muzhungufies now and it is his turn to file out, leaving Abhi thinking....
..........freeze....

Basker may be thinking, so, abhi does think of me as still being related? shd I be jubiliant for this piece of revelation or worry abt abhi's side getting stronger with the advent of arthi....?

so is Dr.Mahesh really out of the picture!
i really thought that he'd marry her!
