Chapter 14.

9 months later.

"Arnav! What is this?!" Khushi screams as she sees the food on the table. It was Arnav favorite meal and her poison, tumeric (haldi), boiled eggs, and apparatus. Khushi sat on the chair wailing like a two-year-old.

"Khushi Singh Raizada, shut up and eat! Think about our baby instead of yourself for a second, will you?!" Arnav glares at her and stands in front of her with his hands on the table, sending her daggers to the food in front of her. Hey Khushi's Devi Maiya, do something will you? Arnav thinks to himself.

"Bbbut-"

"Khushi." Arnav says deadly and smirks, "I don't care about you, I just care about our child, okay? SO... SHUT UP AND EAT!"

"WHAT THE-? You don't care about me? Your wife? Hey Devi Maiya, what a day did I have to see?!" Khushi says dramatically as she puts her hands on her forehead and makes a pouting face. However, she sees Arnav eyes and quickly eats the disgusting healthy food. She stares at him as he eats the food calmly. Hey Devi Maiya, I love him, but I never get two things about him. Why he's addicted to work and this nasty meal. How can somebody eat this?" Khushi thinks to herself and glares at him as he smiles at her.

Sixths months had passed. Arnav had his caste moved and Khushi was nine months pregnant and could be in labor any second.However, they both didn't want to see the gender of their baby. They wanted it to be a surprise.

"Ok, baba, I'm eating...see...mmm...delicious...best food ever...mmm..."Khushi exaggerates as she eats poison. Khushi eats the food while picturing shahi paneer and garlic naan, hot fudge chocolate cake, lasagna, and mostly hot fresh syrupy jalebis. She eats her breakfast delicately, making Arnav sigh with relief and walk outside to finish his work. Khushi walks outside of the house, while rubbing her oversize belly, massaging her child who was in her. She wanted to see her child so desperately, the child that would carry her and Arnav's blood. The child that they both have brought to life. The child that is there treasure and a memory of them. A memory of Mr. and Mrs. Arnav Singh Raizada.

As if the child had heard, Khushi collapsed on the bench and started screaming. "Arrgh! ARRRNNNAV...i think my water just broke!" She screams as she holds onto Arnav's shirt. Arnav grabs her hands and picks her up. He takes her labor bag on the way to his car and makes a call to the hospital. "ARGH!" Khushi screams in the car. "ARGH...ARNAV!" she pants heavily as she holds on to Arnav's hand while he drives fastly with his other hand. As he drives to the hospital, he receives a call from Akash.

"Akash, let me call you later..."Arnav says fastly, being too busy looking at his panting wife.

"Yes bhaiya, but which hospital will Khushi be in? Just asking..."Akash asks him.

"Sunnyside. Akash I said I'll call you later." Arnav says as he cuts the call. Arnav tightens Khushi's hand, "Khushi, it's going to be okay. I'm here, it's going to be okay."

"ARGH...I KNOW, but AHHH!" Khushi tries to speak but the pain doesn't go away. She grasps Arnav's hand tighter and also her seatbelt.

As they get to the hospital, they place Khushi in the pregnant ward and tell her she'll be in labor for six or seven hours since she will be actually giving birth now, since she started having contraction just few minutes ago. They give Khushi a pain reliever; however, Arnav holds Khushi's hand tightly as if his life depended on it.

"Arnav, I'm okay." Khushi says softly to him.

"Why did giving birth have to be so difficult? Does your Devi Maiya not know how much it hurts?" Arnav says to her. Khushi stares at him, confused for a second if she's in labor or if he is. Hey Devi Maiya, why are you making him suffer? Suffer me! Khushi says to herself.

A phone rings from their room, Arnav gets up and picks it up.

"Hello?" he asks sternly, mad about how Khushi's in pain.

"Mr. Raizada, I have few people downstairs saying there your relatives. Mr. Akash Raizada and others. I'm sorry, but security purposed we want to know if it is okay for them to come."

"Yes, send them up." Arnav says as he disconnects the call.

"Who was it?" Khushi asks him she gets up and picks up the jug. Arnav runs to her side.

"Are you insane?! Can't you just tell me! What if something happened, huh!" Arnav yells at her as puts water in her glass and gives it to her.

"But, what would hap-" Khushi says but gets interrupt as there's a knock on the door. Arnav gets up and walks to the door.

"JIJI!" Khushi screams as she sees her sister, Payal, standing behind Akash. Khushi shed s tears as Payal and her parents walk to her. She hugs them tightly and kisses the three of them.

"Hai Pareshmari (not sure if the spelling's right), your belly!" Buaji says as she puts her hand on her forehead. Khushi looks down at her belly, wondering what's wrong. Only your belly could be so big, Sanki Devi. Only yours!". Khushi smiles and pats her tummy. Dear child, this is your lovely Nandkishore Nani.

"Wow, Khushi-ji. It looks like a ball." NK says as he stands there with wide eyes and stares at her tummy. Khushi nods her head, but suddenly grabs her tummy as she feels an another contraction.

"Push, Mrs. Raizada, Push!" says the doctor as Khushi tries to push with her deep breaths.

"Beta, take deep breaths. Deep breathes." Nani says as she pats Khushi's head. While on the side, stands Khushi's mom who's holding Khushi's hand and smiling at her.

"Argh!" Khushi screams as she pushes harder. Suddenly, she feels her womb go empty and takes a deep relief bet. She closes her eyes and heres a small quiet wail. She opens her eyes, trying to look where the precious wailing sound is coming from. Suddenly, the wail turns louders and the doctor stands up with the most precious little creature in his hands.

Khushi's eyes turn watery as she sees the small alien that came out of her. The small alien that her God gifted them. I love you. Khushi mouths to the baby and opens her arms, asking for the doctor to give her the child.

"Congratulations, Mrs. Raizadas' and Mrs. Gupta, it's a boy." He says as he hands Khushi the baby. Khushi cries silently as she feels the small doll in her hand. She kisses her son, her and Arnav's son. She doesn't let go of him, fearing this precious will vanish. "Mrs. Raizada, can we have your son for just a second, we just need to clean him." Khushi looks up at the doctor, wanting to hit him because he was separating her from his child. Khushi's mom pats her on her head and smiles.

"Beta, let him go. "She says softly. Khushi smiles at her and lets her son go to the evil doctor.

Arnav stands by the door, scared to go in. Nervous to meet the other Arnav Singh Raizada. He wants to go in, so badly, but scared. Arnav Singh Raizada, his your son. He's a child, then why are you nervous? Go! Arnav says to himself. He shakes his head and walks into the room. His heart leaps as he looks at Khushi. She looks at him and smiles with shining eyes. She turns her head to the left, he follows her eyes and stops. Right in Naani's hands is a small baby wrapped in a white towel. Arnav stands there staring at the baby who's wiggling his tiny, fingerlike, toes. He smiles as his vision blurs from seeing his own blood. His own blood.

"Chote." Anjali whispers as she hugs him while wiping her tears. "My dream has come true." Anjali says.

Arnav hugs her back and says, "Di." He walks over to Nanni and looks at his own son. Is this my son? Mine? Arnav questions himself as he picks up the small creature from Naani's arms. He looks at his son, whose blinking his eyes constantly. Arnav stares at his own blood with admiration. He carries his son and walks toward Khushi. He looks at her and whispers, "Thank You."

Arnav sits on the bed with Khushi, while the others were staying in the hotel right next to the hospital since they came just today. Arnav kisses her forehead as they both sit there watching their son sleep soundlessly.

"He's beautiful isn't he?" Khushi says to him as she stares admiringly at her son.

"Hmm," Arnav replies and turns toward Khushi, "Of course he would be beautiful, he went after his father."

Khushi turns toward him and glares, "What?! After you?! He's beautiful because I'm beautiful!" Arnav raises one of his eyebrows.

"So you're lying when you say I'm sexy?" Arnav asks her. Khushi widens her eyes and blushes. However, she quickly recovers herself.

"Hey Devi Maiya, are you insane?! You want me to call my son sseee'chi chi chi chi." Khushi shakes her head. Arnav widens his eyes.

"Thank god this pregnancy thing is over, no more." Arnav says as reliefs a sigh, from finally having Khushi back to her normal life.

"What?! No more? But Arnav, just one child?" Khushi whispers to him. Arnav looks at her and nods his head.

"Khushi, didn't you see how scary this was? You were dying." Arnav says as he remembers seeing his wife breathing heavily and screaming with pain.

"But Arnav this is normal. In the back days, people used to have ten, fourteen kids. Don't you think our kid needs an another googlu booglu?" Khushi says to him.

"Hmm'to our'" Arnav says he stares at his son now. Khushi and Arnav both stare at their son, looking for what name would fit him.

"Aaryan." They both say together.

Arnav looks at Khushi and kisses her. "I love you, Mrs. Arnav Singh Raizada, mother of Aaryan Singh Raizada."

Khushi smiles and tickles his nose, "I love you too, Mr. Arnav Singh Raizada, father of my googlu Aaryan Singh Raizada."
