PART 3
The palace was to witness the welcome party today. Preparations were almost done for the evening. It was the first ever party in the palace in the honor of the prince, where he would be formally introduced as the prince.
All the counts from all over the country were cordially invited to the party. All the members of the King's team, the ministers will be present there to see the prince after so many years. Convoys from the far away states had already started to arrive and were welcomed by the secretory of the king itself. There still were a couple of hours for the party to officially begin.
Maan was getting ready for the celebration and was simultaneously given advice by the special personnel of the king. They briefed him about the whole course of the party and some important and relevant matters. He was told about the expected guests today and those who were specially invited by the king itself.

Geet had received the dress that her granny had ordered for her and she was utterly disappointed after having it seen. She had quite much expected it. She knew what her grandmother was going to choose for her; not that it was her grandmother's fault, after all that's how one was supposed to dress up for that type of parties and that was one of the reasons why Geet hated those parties.
Geet instantly got hypered seeing that dress.
"Oh God!!!" her eyes were wide open with disappointment and hopelessness. She examined the dress for some time as if it was the eighth wonder of the world but it could only add to her disappointment. She was about to throw the dress away when she thought of granny.
"How would she feel when knows what I have done with the dress" she thought for a moment.
She closed her eyes and took a deep breath.
"Now that I've decided to attend the party then what wrong with wearing this dress also. After all, it'll be over in few hours and granny will be happy too." she looked at the dress again as she decided to compromise and took it with her to get dressed.
She was told by one of the servant that Anna was ready and waiting for her in the hall. She was not into impressing people there in the party so it didn't take much time to get ready, she still looked precious though.
Anna was waiting for Geet when her eyes fall on Geet coming downstairs, she could not blink her eyes for few seconds. It was the first time she had seen her in such a dress and it looked like it was made for her only. The navy blue long gown made her look like a fairy. The shimmer of the small diamantes was outshone by her dazzling beauty. The flary and slightly fluffy dress complemented her perfect and sleek figure quite well. A delicate strap of blue fabric flowers adorned one of her shoulders while other shoulder was bare showing her milky skin.
She smiled as Geet reached up to her and caressed her cheek in awe. She was her most precious belonging, her granddaughter!
"Perfect!!" she exclaimed with sheer happiness. Geet was first surprised and then overwhelmed to see her granny's reaction.

Maan was now ready for the party both apparently and mentally. He now had all important information about country affairs. He joined his parents who were all set to enter the party with their son.
They walked into the ball room with royal grandeur. Every eye was fixed on the confident and striking prince.
He was introduced to the guests by the king in an announcement. Then he moved towards the guests where everyone wanted to meet him individually. Soon he got busy with people there.

Geet and Anna were on their way to the palace. They had to move to the nearby capital which was not far distanced. They were still in the premises of the city when Geet saw some children across the road outside some park. The person with those children was arguing the administrator of the park. The park was closed for public for some reason and she could see the disappointment on children's faces.
"Stop" she yelled to the driver all of sudden.
Anna was shocked at her sudden shout and looked at her questioningly.
Geet smiled meekly as her mind searched for reasons to give to her grandmother.
"Uh...umm...actually" she couldn't come up with a reason and she knew she couldn't tell the truth.
"Yes!!" she shouted suddenly as an idea clicked in her mind.
"Yes... granny actually I think my shoes have malfunctioned, see the strap has loosened and I'm sure it'll break off any moment. Thank God I've got to know about it now or it would have been such an embarrassment at the party." she acted perfectly to make her grandmother believe that she was not lying. Anna was still busy finding the loosened strap when Geet diverted her attention, "Granny why don't you drop me here leave for the palace. See there's a shopping mall; I'll get shoes from there and will come afterwards."
"But how would you come alone later, let me wait here for you, we'll continue together." Anna now seemed to believe in what Geet was saying.
"But granny you'll get late for the party, it's important for you to be there in time. And don't worry, I'll call for the other car and by the time I'm done shopping the driver will be here and then I'll be coming to the party." Geet exclaimed her whole plan and then waited anxiously for Anna's reply.
Anna looked at her thoughtfully and after a few moments assented reluctantly.
Geet was excited to get the permission and got off the car bidding her goodbye. As soon as the car disappeared she rushed towards the children. That was a small group of 6 children from an orphanage who were brought there for some playing activities but the park was closed for public due to maintenance going on.
Geet tried for time to convince the person to let them in, but all in vain. She could not see the disappointed faces of those little kids and wanted to make them cheerful. She was thinking of some other plan when the car arrived there for her, Anna had already called the other driver to be there. She thought of something and then asked the person with the kids to let them accompany her and that she would drop them back at orphan house. As soon as she got permission she led the children towards the car cheering them up by telling them about the exciting things coming up.

Maan was talking to some close friend of his father who had come to bid him goodbye as he had to leave in emergency. Maan led him till the exit and was about to turn back when he saw a girl coming out of a government car.
She was a young girl and lively girl and her first impression on him was that of beauty and innocence. He had a brief glance on her and was about to turn his gaze when he saw a kid coming out of the car after her.
His feet stopped on the track and he jotted his brows on seeing a kid.
It was a royal high profile party and surely there was no accommodation for kids. He was surprised at the awkward incident. But that was just the beginning and he was unaware of the upcoming shocks.
As the kid came out and stood near the girl, he was followed by more kids one after other and each of them only added to Maan's shocked state. He now stood there like some stupid person gawking at the new arrivals and couldn't move from there as he was trying to comprehend the awkward situation.
He saw the girl being welcomed by the royal staff she moved ahead along with 6 children. One of the staff personnel came to her to help her with the children; he meant to take them to the children's place in the palace which was off and on used for the kids with royal guests.
"Could you please take care of my children??" she said to the person thinking if she told them that they were orphans they won't be taken better care of.
Surely, she was oblivious of the person standing at a distance from them who could hear her but couldn't read her thoughts.
Maan's already gawking eyes grew wider as he heard her words with his mouth half opened.
"These 6 kids are her children??" he who had travelled the world was looking like a fool at the eighth wonder of the world.
She moved into the direction of ball room after handing the kids to the staff. As he lost sight of her, he came back to his senses and gathered himself wondering what exactly he was doing few moments ago. He looked around to see if someone had seen him acting like a stupid spectacular and then moved in relieved.

The party had long time ago. He entered the ball room only to know that couple dance was going on there. He looked at the dancing couples in the hall. Every person present there was already taken as he stood there alone feeling awkward.
"Why did I have to stand over there like idiots." he cursed himself mentally and looked around when his eyes fell on the same girl standing at a distance from him. She was late in the party and was facing similarly awkward situation like him.
"Looking at her no one can ever guess what I've just witnessed" he thought because she looked just too young to have 6 children.
His feet paced towards her at an accord of his own and he extended his hand toward her, "Shall we??"
Geet was perplexed at his offer. She had never danced with a stranger before but thinking that it was better than to stand there oddly, she placed her hand in his hesitantly.
Both of them where not willingly dancing with each other, it could be seen from their eyes roaming at every corner of the hall except each other's faces. Maan placed a glance at her face and found her staring at some random corner of the hall.
"Oh God!! This is even more awkward." he thought irritated by the situation and decided to break the ice.
"So, what does your husband do?" as soon as the words escaped his lips he was mortified at his absurdity to ask that question "Holly God!! Why am I acting all stupid today??" is wasn't that he was interacting with a girl for the first time, he had been a charismatic speaker but today since he had seen her he could give himself the stupidity award for his acts.
Geet heard his question and replied confidently with a courteous smile, "Actually I'm not married." as she disclosed the world's most astonishing truth to him, the music ended and everyone stopped dancing and got busy in other stuff. Geet was also finally relieved as they too parted each other and she tried to look busy talking to someone.
But Maan was still in the new shock that she had caused to him
