Srush exactly the point na..as FIL never as father, call me bias or old fashioned but in our society father always thinks of daughter's marriage ahead of son even if she happens to be younger and here she was putting forward this alliance and he was accepting her decision even if it happens to be her decision he should have persuaded her to seek out a life for herself as any father would ...it was FIL accepting DIL's decision that too after declaring her as beti of the house...

But he was a FIL first, and pressurizing was not his style...He was a father to Kesar..but still did not pressurize...And Gulaal took her decision as Gulaal...she herself forgot how she is related to the house... had she taken a decision considering it..she would have thought twice about the improbability of them..and I think that this kind of FIL would actually save so many bride suicides..he let her take decisions and even commit mistakes...just like a father would...but always had her hand on her head...just like he had promised her years back(ofcourse with that one lapse)😳

And about making her take the decision..we actually hated Gulaal for the same...forcing Kesar to make decision ...or rather making decision on his behalf..or for that matter on Talli's behalf..or anybody's...and that is where MB had that foresight and open mindedness...

I know this argument will not reach it's logical end ever as there isn't one…but can't help putting my point forward….

As you said in your post that he so knew his son and that's why he was never in any dilemma about imposing any decision on him as the decision would be accepted only and only if it was to work in his favour and if this is what he desired…yes he would have put himself first and MB knew that…but he also knew that exactly the opposite was true in Gulaal's case and hence the argument to persuade and make her see and consider impact of her decision on her future, I am not saying that MB should have taken any decision for her or pressurised her in anyways as this was forte of her highness anyways ….all I am arguing about is the hypocrisy of granting her the status of daughter and still accepting decisions made by DIL….Thank god for Kesar and his bluntness in what he wanted…else she would have ruined so many lives with her desire to do *right* thing for the family…..

there cannot be a logical end to a discussion which is made on characters which have humane touch and that special quality which appeal to their viewers very much...😆...and as I said, I dont see hypocrisy in his stance as he accepted her as she was ...Gulaal...not DIL nor daughter...😳 But to each one his own...The bottom line,,,,I would LOVE MB as my FIL😳 even if he is not the progenitor of a Kesar😛

Kesu in moonlight😳...i happen to love that scene...

And that chocolate giving was one scene...probably the only one when I would say Gulaal was not in her character...and Kesar needed a tight slap for being SO damn good Mr. goody two shoes

Haha...Dark times... I was like almost off for four days...the DV breaking scene and all...the 'Zindagi' song torture with added flavour of Kulli and was dancing all over the forum with that mandir scene only to have a bandariya MIL shoved in our face,,,I cant believe we settled for a confession in the last epi..and that too in the last 15 mins..and still love the show...I guess that was the magic of the two brats!
